  1. don't go boosting away until you get it retuned..... Otherwise you might be paying scotty more money for a motor!
  2. So why would you take a 110 GTR (remember thats what you asked for)- a US$120,000 car, and install a RB25 in it? BTW- there is a wanted section that you should have posted this in.
  3. Because simply, its the best way for it to run in low load/idle areas of the map. Hot day, cold day, freezing - doesn't matter. Altitude - doesn't matter. It just corrects. I would like to see what O2 functions the FCon has, and if they are useful. Thats all.
  4. Should work (theoretically) with factory injectors- any bigger injectors, the section in the target table for AFR correction would be to big and you couldn't tune correctly.
  5. Can the HKS take over O2 correction, using the factory fuel target table (because FCon won't let you enter a target table), with either a wideband or narrowband feedback?
  6. Yes, the cipher cable will show you the info, but without the reflash ability, you can't get rid of the code. In my car its as simple as selecting the fault code and turning it off, then reflashing. Its about the end of my ability- I don't know how the FCon is manipulating the ECU data. Best to get them to have a play with the O2 functions within FCon, and see if its able to take the role of O2 correction on.
  7. hmmm... these superpro ones don't squeak at all. At least in none of the cars that I've seen with them in.
  8. QFT pretty hard to see any reason other than a large amount of Det.
  9. Do you have any way of seeing the O2 correction that the stock ECU is reading? If so, is it cycling- counting up and counting down? That'll be whats causing the error codes, I'm sure its to do with the way everything interacts and not your actual AFRs changing.
  10. Just FYI- you'll need someone with a press to get that in for you. Its not a push in kinda part, cut out the old one, and press in the new one. Also suggest getting the ones with the castor offset
  11. Trays are a piece of piss. Off in 1 minute. How? Get your electric drill, and a bit set with a 10mm socket. Put it in your cordless drill, and remove all the bolts. Job done.
  12. Why are these cars so popular in the middle east? I don't understand. Every couple of months someone posts in here wanting one. Do they realise that we didn't get a GTR, but a Datsun 240k?
  13. Authentic
  14. So you can program the Chips via Macbook? very nifty!
  15. oh Benji.... next you'll ask the Japanese Auction grade. There is very little factory car left mate. They went to the extent of casting their own suspension components. Why on earth would you risk trying to drive it on the road with all the idiots there. Does the Car still run the original Chipped ECU? Or has it been refitted with a more modern system I wonder.
  16. learn to interwebs topdeck....
  17. Sorry - I fail to see how sticking a comic on your wing is "pushing the boundaries".... I have some respect for these guys because of the hands on approach, but this car sucks teh hairy balls, and only appeals to honda fanbois it seems
  18. Really? Mine has -8 fittings I think. Theo knows more, but to hook it up, it was a pain.
  19. They come with trans cooler internally, it's finding the fitting that's challenging. Maybe Scotty customs could help out.
  20. Yeah, its short sessions as its a come and try day. $30 gets you on the track if you haven't had a CAMS licence in the past. only 3 flying laps in a session- with an instructor too, but gives me something to aim for Cheers, for the accom tips.
  21. Hey Theo - I'm going to have a crack at your time at Eastern Creek South first. I'm booked for the CAMS come and try day on Jan 19th. What did you end up with? 1:16 or something?
  22. Its not an issue because the aftermarket computer is interacting with the stock computer. Theo- I remember when we had yours on the dyno, and we had a good idle AFR, yet when I was reading the stock computer the O2 correction was doing silly things. The data that I was reading was not actually affecting the AFR. So I'd expect to see errors as the stock ECU is trying to use O2 correction, and sensing different things. 125%/75% combination most likely triggers errors. There is also 3 different O2 feedbacks in the software to look at.... bit confusing. Thats the way I see it - no doubt Scott will chime in and disagree
  23. I only see one car? How am I to choose? Have you driven one? I suggest you go and drive one if you have not. Expect a big difference to your little Colt.
  24. They are discontinued. There *may* be new kits floating around, however they are very rare. A few second hand ones have come up, but again, its not a common thing. Back in the day, retail for the kit was $8500.
