I did this mod a few months ago and managed to snap a few shots of the process. This is for those who want maximum simplicity and low costs involved in a small upgrade. 1-- Remove the front left wheel of your car. 2-- Take off the inner guard black plastic lining. All the bolts holding it in should be plastic and quite easy to just pull out. 3-- Undo all the bolts holding up the R33 SMIC, and also make sure you loosen up the clamp in the engine bay just under the air filter (shown in the 2nd picture). You may need to temporarily remove your airbox (if you have one) to get to this clamp. I had a pod filter so there was a fair bit of space for me to use. 4-- Once the R33 SMIC is removed, install the R34 SMIC into the exact same locations as for the original intercooler. 5-- Reconnect back the inner guard black plastic lining. You will notice that as the R34 SMIC is taller than the R33 SMIC the guard will stick out a bit, or may not bolt back on exactly the same as before. For me I bolted it all back (with a bit of gusto) and let the guard hang out a bit as a make-shift scoop for the SMIC. Nothing has flown off yet so it seems to be doing the trick and feeding nicely. DONE! Probably the easiest mod you will ever do as a beginner - I hope this basic tutorial will be useful to people After the mod on-boost kick was harder (this may be a mental thing though )

Hi All I did this mod a few months ago and I thought it would help all those R33 GTST owners wanting a cheap and easy upgrade they can do themselves. Apologies I didn't take more pictures - mod was done as quickly as possible. Hope it helps 1

Best Place To Get Immobiler Installed?
armoilers replied to Bizkit's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Highly recommend Westside Sound and Image in Cannington - service is top notch and pricing is generally cheaper than Alberts - particularly if you package it up with other stuff! -
haha i reckon the bird poo is eating through the garage roof then dropping on my car
-
thanks for the advice! just gave it a crack and it works fab with droppings a day or two old

gosh boiling water really!?!??! will give it a go - hopefully doesnt hurt my paint
-
i think its got something to do with a average quality clear coat due to the age of these cars. newer cars tend not to have this issue it seems with my other cars

Alright was looking at my car today and found some bird decided to have a stomach ache over bits of my car. These are those small worm-looking stains that are yellow and LEAVE a yellow stain on my white paint! I imagine a lot of us here have white Skylines so would have the same problem? How have you guys gotten bird doo stains off? I have tried using Armour-all Goo-remover, put on polish then taken it off, Meguires Scratch X...list is growing...pain is growing. Thanks for any help

R33 Gts25t Engine Cutting Off/stalling
armoilers replied to bula_is's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hey how has the fix gone? I'm like totally in the same boat as you - just got my 97 S2 Gtst a few weeks ago, but only that this has only happened to me just twice. I hope it worked out well for you because I was worried it was a serious mechanical issue. And its not nice when you rolling in a parking lot, car is moving, then you gotta restart the car in front of everyone.... -
