  1. all good i took it back got a refund and bought a guage adaptor plate from juran racing
  2. just a pain to get to it thats all plus i want to run a temp sender also soon
  3. yeah thats what i was thinking why would it have a oil path and ball and spring stock location is to hard to get to to fit a aftermarket oil pressure guage. reason im doing this is because its in a vl and i need a oil pressure guage
  4. this is the one i got
  5. ok because yeah it has 2 ports one with a arrow to show whichway the flow. and the other which is obvisouly return. however it is not like the sender adaptors where the whole thing is hollow it is just solid with these 2 ports and a ball bearing type thing(thermostat) so what you are saying is get a port drilled and tapped into the side of it for a sender
  6. hey guys i got a earls 516erl sandwhich plate. im trying to adapt my oil pressure sender however i have a feeling that it is only for oil cooler adaption. it seems to have a ball and spring type valve in it with a trench type bit for oil to travel through. have i got the wrong adaptor or will this work for a oil pressure sender
  7. haha yeah its a bit like that bit quiet and a little low on numbers this month
  8. hi guys i thought id post up on here for anyone who is looking for a used car. im currently a slaes consultant at city motors. however you dont have to be looking for a holden for me to help you. i can find you any vehicle you are looking for at the right price. if you are looking for a vehicle contact me on 0409 113 354 and i can help you out
  9. whats the lowest you would take for this seeing tho i can get a new one built for $900
  10. it doesnt bother to much about price i dont pay for my daily fuel due to i get a fuel card for work but the weekender gets the BP mainly because it was tuned on it and im paro about the difference the other companies have. and i have like 3 BPs surrounding me is there anything to compare all the other 98 octane fuels. i would like to see how much each manufacturers fuel differs from the other
  11. mods close thread i found my answer
  12. hey guys now i have read and read the oil threads however i have decided to use castrol edge. however i know simonr32 runs castrol edge 10w-60 however his has had a bit of work done to it. i have a series 2 rb25det running 10psi with aftermarket ecu. thats all i have at the moment plus FMIC. what consistency should i use. i will also aventually be going a hypergear atr43G3 down the track and then i will go to the 10w 60
  13. i think id prefer to stick with BP ultimate only for the sake that my car was tuned on it and i knwo it works well and the fact i have 3 bp servos around me in a 3 km radius
  14. Standard actuator is 10 psi I run just actuator pressure on my r33 rb25det and the gauge sits a steady 10 psi
  15. Ok cool if not I'll get a new starter
  16. yeah it does crank pretty fast and every nown and then a clunk then keeps cranking til it starts
  17. i dont know to much about starter motors. does this mean i need a new starter
  18. hey guys sometimes on startup while the car is turning over i get a clunk noise like the starter is over cranking or something. it started off every nown and then and now its becoming more often. also once the car is started and the starter retracts it makes a sound like fuel running through empty lines however even once the pump is primed it still does this. what could it be?
  19. im running a microtech lt12s was a pain to get the vct working but we got there aventully and it runs using map sensor.. i have had absolute no problems using it however alot of people dont like the microtech but other love them. speak to your preferred tuner. a ecu is only as good as its tuner
  20. Ok cool Jonno due to money I'm going to have to hold off a couple of weeks in a couple of weeks do you think I could get a hand
  21. yeah but i have a microtech ecu so how do i know if the timing has been changed
  22. ok i may give it a shot only thing is i dont know how to use a timing light either
  23. i can do almost all of it myself i just dont have timing light and dont have the confidence really to muck around with the timing
  24. hey guys im looking for someone to change my timing belt on my rb25det as i could do it myself but im not confident enough. its in a vl commodore so their is alot more room than a skyline. reason i dont want a workshop to change it is because they all charge an absolute fortune
