  1. i do anyway haha i work for North city Holden
  2. so what spark plug is best suited for rb25det (r33 series 2)
  3. all good guys im oing to make it 2.5" from turbo to intercooler and leave it at 3" from cooler to throttle body
  4. damn this hard so many different opinions i think i may just run 2.5" from turbo to intercooler then from intercooler to throttle body leave it at the 3" that it is already at
  5. thats what im thinking i was just after opinions for now im only runnin stock turbo but within the next 6 months im looking at running a atr43g3. power goal is 300+rwkw
  6. im going to be chasing around 300rwkw aventually but by then im going to get custom piping done. the kit had 2.5" from the turbo to the cooler however it was a vlt kit so i have had to modify it a little. thats why im asking if i should make the pipe from under air box to the cooler on the turbo side 3" or 2.5" considering from the turbo is aready 2.5". sory for the confusion but this is not for the inlet of the turbo its for the hot pipe from turbo to the intercooler
  7. north coast electrics in wangara are ghreat speak to brad he deals with skylines all the time
  8. hey guys just finishing off my intercooler piping on the vl. the kit i bought had 3" cold side piping from intercooler to throttle body. however on the hot side it had 2.5" but the cooler is 3" in and out. i have one more pipe to make which is not in engine bay is from the hot side of cooler. now i was going to make this pipe 3" so it would go into intercooler easier or should i buy a reducer for cooler and have it go into cooler using 2.5" like the rest of the hot pipe? would it boost in anyway making it 3"
  9. check the turbo if not turbo must be valve stem seals. i used to be an engine rebuilder and we had this problem often. even they are new stem seals and they were not installd correctly such as burrs on the valve stems when installing them knicking the the seals. but def sounds like sem seals with the symptoms you are telling us. if it was turbo related id say it would pretty much constanly blow smoke.
  10. thought this would be a cool future body mod haha http://www.flixxy.com/high-tech-car-door.htm

    Help

post in the wanted to buy section mate might get alot more hits
  13. FFS use the search forum gets covered a thousand times a week read the rb25 dyno thread at the top of this forum
  14. yeah i ahve heard coil packs are good for up to 300rwkw on a series 2 r33. i beleive it would be fuel cut due to running to much boost on a stock ecu all i can suggest is lower the boost to 10psi at the most do not go over 10psi if you had an aftermarket ecu you would be able to prob sit at 12psi comfortably but with stock ecu no chance
  15. im trying to remove the r33 drivers side loom but it still connected to the knock sensors im not going to be using them so do they just unplug or do i have to cut the wires because i cant see what im doing under the manifold and dont want to take the manifold off just to undo knock sensors? or if they unplug does anyone know how they unplug
  16. ok even if i mark it and line it back up?
  17. yeah will do cheers
  18. hey guys im going to change my timing belt on my rb25det. i have been told to get a timing light however if i line all the marks up correctly i shouldnt need to use a timing light. a few people have told me to use one and a few of the mechanics at my work have told me not to worry. just wondering what everyone elses opinion is.
  19. yeah mines in a vl so a bit more room but still a bitch of a job on the drivers side. i will leave them on then and if my tuner wants to leave them he can he is doing all of my wiring anyway
  20. cool so do i pull the sensors out or just leave them in block but just not cnnected?
  21. if the manaul says you need it i would get it. try any brake and clutch place they should be able to help
  22. tried to search this but couldnt find it what size is the standard crossover pipe on a r33 gtst
  23. ok microtech does not run knock sensors so no need to worry about it
  24. ive been told by a few people its part of the alternator wiring loom. im going to be running a microtech lt12s so ill have to find out whether it runs a knock sensor
  25. sorry if thisin the wrong section guys. i have got a vl with rb25det. im currently connecting the drivers side loom. however im stuck with connecting the knock sensor wiring. the rb30 does not have knock sensors so there is no where to join the knock sensor wiring. does anyone here know how to do this or will i have to just run the wires to the ecu pinout. only thing im not sure about is im going to be running a aftermarket ecu which is going to professionaly wired in. so do i wire them into the stock rb25 ecu plug?
