I just reinsured in Qld (rating 1, 36 yrs old), for $1,800 with CGU ($1k excess). Alot cheaper than the $10,596 AAMI quoted me......

I am just having a similar experience.....insurance with AAMI gone from $2k last year to $10,596 on renewal.......holy smokes!!! Suncorp (Qld) now seems a much better option......as far as I can tell!?!? Anyone else's experiences would be useful to know.....

Just had my 12mth/20klm service and been told original Bridgestone tyres worn down to legal height on the inside......no track days (yet)! But one in a couple of weeks to burn off the remaining rubber before replacing!! Could be interesting....
