Nice project. been very interested in sts turbos for a long time. not a very sleeper engine bay,not very smart at all with the pod(dirt,moisture,water and all sorts of shit all up in your pod) and im guessing nothing was purchased from sts turbos. i see you will be changing the engine bay when you get an intercooler but you really should have fed the pipe up through the airbox originally. pod should have an sts intake pipe and sts pod cover or just feed pod into boot. interested to see a video of how much your car sounds like a jet turbine on spoolup and spooldown. If you wanna do some mods you can install s13 hubs with s13 coilovers,get new bushes,sway bars,strut brace,extractors (illegal),2.25" exhaust,hks panel filter,air fuel ratio mod,set dizzy to special setting,nice paint job with rims that suit,clear front bar indicators,black grill and just keep it clean and don't be an idiot P Plater and your licence will survive till you can get your full licence. a manual 31 with extractors,dizzy trick,manual box and a panel filter can be a pretty fast car but f**k it you should be worrying about your experience on the road and not how fast your shitbox is. wait till you buy a v8 or turbo and then you should have the experience to not kill yourself. the end.

Check dipstick and oil cap for a milky white goo (emulsified oil iirc).

White smoke can also be oil getting into your exhaust from having a cracked ring. Im just brain storming. Check 02 sensor and try an alternate AFM. CAS could be something to check as well.

If you got aftermarket headlights just get them calibrated to point properly and don't use hid that is too bright. id hope you'd be sweet with the cops. but im sure some dick would come along.

headlight restoration kit from autobarn for about 40 bucks. takes an easy hour. sands,polishes and covers with uv protectant. lasts for years and comes up like show room quality. have used it on 2 R33s. this is exactly what ive been using. good luck.

Hey guys i have a series 2 RB25DET with a cracked ringland and cylinder scoring in cyl 6. Head is all ready and prepped,so now i just need a new bottom end. looking at a neo engine to use. are the bottom ends the same? Will a series 2 head go on with no dramas or is it best idea to just convert to the whole neo? Excuse my nubness on this matter. Cheers in advance.

depends what state as to legalities of pod filter. in QLD you don't have to cover them but they have to be securely fitted with a bracket. the f**ked up thing is that the actual ruling is that an air filter is classed as being part of the fuel system. and it actually states that the air filter must be "securely fitted to the fuel system" meaning the clamp you use to fit the pod to the intake must be tight. but cops up here will still defect you if you dont have it bracketed to the chassis unless you can prove them wrong or in most cases go to court where the judge says "well officer was the air filter securely fitted to the fuel system?" to which the officer has to reply "yes" and then you win. i for one run a bracket on my pod because id rather not go to court because i was right lol.
