Fair enough. not so much if cops catch you with a commodore that has 5-10kw extra kw, more to the point of all insurance being invalid when you have an accident. shit would go south so hard.

Yeah chipping might do something and as if the cops will know unless you go under the pits and they wanna see your ecu lol(highly unlikely). But in all seriousness you should listen to my previous 6am ramble, with the attitude you have towards a car on your P's you will either write it off or cause an accident. P's is for proper road experience not power output,0-100 times,skids and whatever else you shouldn't be worrying about. play the Hoon on your P's and you will lose your licence atleast once. food for thought.

In QLD you are not allowed any engine mods that require a mod plate. a conversion requires a modplate.

Afaik you aren't allowed extractors on P Plates in your state. someone correct me if i am wrong. lol you think extractors have anything to do with imports? If you aren't allowed it,a cop can find it. Take heed. And yes they can take you to the pits under suspicion. The 200kw rule is for factory output. not what its doin on the dyno. for example non SIDI VE commodores are rated 195kw but SIDI VE commodores are rated 205kw. there's your difference,clear cut.

Im in QLD so im not really up on the p plate laws of other states. but i wasn't aware of any states allowing any engine swaps other than engines that came optioned for that model. ie:you can put an RB25DE neo out of a 34 into an R32 because R32 were optioned with 25's in some models.

Couldn't tell ya mate. but if you go over the recommended size for an exhaust on an N/A engine you end up in the dumb fart zone. i wouldn't know what the recommended size would be but for an example afaik you dont want any bigger than 2.25" on an rb30 in a 31. Pod filter should do something. A big difference would be extractors but those are illegal for you.

Should look into how rocky auto in Japan have made a triple weber 26/30 with just over 300hp. would be epic to see an n/a 26/30 with a spool imports 3.4L stroker kit and triple webers Nice project,good luck in your pursuits! -
Rocky auto in Japan have built a 26/30 with triple webers making just over 300hp but these projects should only be for the obsession of building a ridiculous n/a RB. The results can be cool but your wallet suffers soo hard. If you wanna be a sneaky P Plater might i suggest a company in the us called STS turbos. just dont blame me when the cops pull you over cause your n/a skylines exhaust sounds like a jet turbine

Hey guys been a member for a while but haven't really used the forums till now. i have owned and been into skylines for just over a year and a half. my first skyline was a series 1 GTS25T 4 door 33 running 0.98bar. my current skyline is a series 1.5 GTS25T 2 door 33 which is currently having the engine refreshed. i don't know a whole lot about mechanics but i have a thirst for any and all knowledge about skylines and skyline engines from 57 to infinity. Very interested in 26/30 hybrids,twin turbos and stroker kits. i have decided to start using this forum because i have reached the limits of skyline knowledge outside skyline specific forums. im here to learn and im here to share ill end this with a random question:what is the model name given to R33s with an RB20E apart from GTS or Type "*"?

Wrong.only R33 GTS25 Coupes can be imported. 4 doors are no longer allowed which is why i asked. i think its bullshit but. afaik they weigh 30kg more.

That's how its meant to go down. Is your car a genuine gts25 33? What year was it imported. you are pretty lucky to have that car,they are no longer allowed to be imported afaik.

Please show me this 1k mastery you speak of. You would have to upgrade the braking system to GTST brakes,and i dont believe that just means calipers. You would want to upgrade your hubs to 5 stud instead of 4 stud. then you would need a turbo diff and possibly a different stronger tailshaft.then comes a gearbox,you would be needing a turbo gearbox to handle the power because n/a gearboxes are not the same box and are weak.and after all this,you can't just bolt a turbo onto an n/a.you need new fuel pump,injectors,manifold,turbo,gaskets,ecu,intercooler,piping,new holes to be cut in the body for intercooler piping,bov,lower the compression and there ain't no guarantee of how long the setup would last.and after getting it all done and f**kin around,you have to get it engineered and modplated which can be a massive f**k around. Or you sell an n/a for way more than its worth because of these laws to a kid that would like to drive a skylines on their P's and you buy a GTST/GTS25T/GT-T for less or as Much money as you sold the NA for and lo and behold it already has all the turbo gear already in it with nothing missing,no engine to take apart and no certificates and modplates to procure. Hope this helps to the enth degree.
