Lamborghini Aventador Official Photos Released!
Leewah replied to PM-R33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Although it may be a new car with new fandangled bits, the exterior is too Reventon styled for me. Not only does it take away from the epic limited edition design of the Reventon but at the same time, the exterior design isn't anything spectacularly new. I'm sure Lamboghini are on the ball when it comes to designing supercars and the giant air vents sucking up small children through the nose has a purpose and serves it well, but I would have liked a newer aerodynamic looking model. The back end is top notch. Love the LED tail lights but not sure bout the massive gap from the undertray. I'm sure it's got something to do with air flow and downforce, etc but I reckon the back should finish just a tad lower before seeing the carbon fibre bits. The Countach and the Murcielago SV are still my 2 fav Lambos ever. Interior is sh|t hot. Love the red on black combo. Dash setup looks like it came from the Toyota LFA though. A lot of nerdy compy PS3 kinda stuff. Secksy analog dials FTW. I'm assuming that this car is a 7 or 8 speed DSG kinda setup but after watching Whiplash's video, it sounds like the clown driving it is riding the clutch harder than a new manual driver trying not to stall at the lights. Having said that though and my not super impressed can't wait for it attitude, I'll take mine in either pearl white with black rims or just the basic matte black with black rims. -
2011 Shell/ferrari F1 Experience…
Leewah replied to R31Nismoid's topic in General Automotive Discussion
That was a good read Ash. Grats on getting so close to the Shell people and their secret squirrel techniques. Some of the photos looked pretty good to considering they were taken on either a point n shoot or your phone. -
Meh. I'm so ancient, to me Golgo == Jamezilla. Check the time I posted this! I only vaguely remember I even posted it! LOL!

Happy Birthday mate! Hope you have a great day and your family spoils you silly! Also waiting for updates on Project Interceptor! Get on it!
-
Congrats to the new committee. I'm sure you guys will do a great job! Good luck with it.
-
LOL! I was faster than Ash on the Long Wang AND Mk2-1! That just put a massive grin on my face

Awesome! Thanks for all the effort in compiling these results. I for one know how hard it can be. For some reason, I don't have results for the battles even though I did compete. Is it possible that my results were misplaced? Anyhoo, this DECA wasn't about the results for me. Just had a ball getting out there and giving the 135i a good ol fashioned thrashing.
-
Nice pics of the tyre wall. Brings back some not so fond memories. Thanks for your efforts.
-
Thanks to all the organisers and volunteers who once again ran a tight ship. Had a ball as usual and doing in the 135i was a whole new experience. Finally got to turn traction control off without the risk of smashing into anything. RWD slidage is farking awesome! Most comfy drive to and from Shep I've ever had!

That's all good. Thanks for letting me know. As long as it's a fold out bed and somewhere I can crash, it should be fine. If anything changes though, that'd be even better.
-
Bugger. Ah well, sofa bed it is for poor Rossco
-
Hey Bec, Change of plans for Rossco's room. Can you make it 2 single beds please coz I'm gonna be in the other bed now for both nights. Yay!

Bangkok is awesome for eating, shopping and partying. Tough to beat it for a value for money city. If you want a nice hotel to stay, I recommend Siam @ Siam. Very comfy, nice pool and very relaxing. Only drawback was the lift was suuuuuuper slow which is a bit annoying during peak times. If you want something cheap and budget, I've stayed at Imperial Tara which is in the Sukhumvit area which Ash has mentioned is the biggest touristy and party areas. It's very close to the MRT station too so if you want to catch public transport, it's a cinch. Taxis and scooter taxis are super cheap too so it's up to you which you want to use. Traffic in Bangkok sucks the cack so sometimes the MRT is actually faster. What you want to do in Phuket will dictate where you stay. If you want to go out at night and party till things close, you will stay in or close to Patong. I've stayed at Holiday Inn but had a Busakorn Wing room as it has it's own private pool away from general population. It's about a 10 min walk to Banglor Rd so it's just far away enough that you don't have too many drunks making noise in the area. You may also want to consider Courtyard Marriot - Patong Beach which is across the road from the Holiday Inn. I've also stayed at Sheraton Phuket but that's a good 30 min drive from Patong because on those trips, I went with family and wanted a total rancho relaxo experience. Renting scooters/motorbikes/cars etc are at your own risk. They make up their own rules there and if you do hire a vehicle, check it front to back, top to bottom and take photos of any existing damage, scratches, dents etc before you take it away because I guarantee if you bring it back and they see a "new" scratch on it, you WILL pay for it one way or the other. Contracts mean nothing over there and your repair bill will be whatever their mate wants to charge you. If you think you can call the cops coz you're being ripped off, think twice. You're the foreigner there. How do I know this? First hand experience.

Micolour Sauvic Deca Motorkhana - Final 2010 Round
Leewah replied to Belsil80's topic in Archived Events
Rule 1 of Fang Artists: Don't talk about Fang Artists Rule 2 of Fang Artists: See rule 1. Apparently word has it that back in the day, they all had sweet rides. That is until most of them grew up and had families. They still do the occasional Sunday lunch together and go to garden shows when time permits. -

That's what special guest appearances by the Fang Artists will do for ya. We're hyped. With the exception of Ash & Dave coz they may not have vehicle of choice at the time. In fact, Ash has NO chance -
The trip to Sydney was the fun bit IMO!

Done & doner. Time to test some German goodness at DECA! I'll be paying my AASA on the day too. -

As much as I'd like to deny it, I am good friends with Ash. He's more misunderstood than a real tossbag I did run an 11.2@127MPH with 347awkw on a stock 2.6L bottom end and 2860-5 with 19psi and super safe tune as dynoed at RE Customs. Drove in with 1/2 tank of fuel, dropped tyre pressures, ran back to back 11.2 and 11.3 along with 3-4 other runs which weren't as good, drove out to servo, pumped up tyres, filled petrol, drove home. Easy. 400rwkw on street tyres will net a 10 sec pass as long as you can launch properly. Everything in a GTR is at launch. After that, it's a pretty simple game. I wouldn't be surprised if Ash does run a 10 with 400awkw. Even he couldn't fark up something this easy. LOL!

I think this is a BRILLIANT idea! Wish I'd thought of this earlier! Hey Muffin, if you're serious about discussing this further, PM me. I'm very interested in your thoughts. I have some "profitable" ideas of my own which I'd like to bounce off you. One of them would be offering you a life of luxury traveling frequently to wonderful countries such as Columbia, Bolivia, Thailand and Mexico. And, no, thank you!

Import Monster. There is no substitute.

Van isn't happy about how soft the penalty is either. I'm continually giving him sh|t about it. The poker community still thinks it was a publicity stunt by Full Tilt Poker to promote his promotion to becoming a sponsored pro. He's now trading up to a 458 pretty soon.

There's a grey R35 "GTR4" running around the Richmond area in Melb. Also, there's another grey one with Vic euro plates which frequents Crown a fair bit.

R34 Gtr Rim Options, 9.5 +12 Or 10.5 +15?
Leewah replied to SS8_Gohan's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
I have to admit that the rims on my old car were some of the sexiest rims I've seen. People keep asking me where to get them but it's almost impossible to find them now as they are no longer being made. They were Weds SA90. 18x10. I miss my car -
