Age, it's been said many times... You have too much time on your hands. Hell funny and worth every minute of effort though!

1 thing I learnt a long time ago Juz. There is no "I" in team but there is a "U" in c*nt
-
Oooops. My bad. Updated. I think Snowy lost 1st outright driver because he was pretty much just toodleing the car around the last few events so they could secure 1st outright team which is a monster effort! Blaise was so far ahead in the co driver category, he just had to complete the event and it was guaranteed. Fine effort people!

CONGRATULATIONS SNOWCONE AND BLAISE FOR WINNING DUTTON RALLY VICTORIA 2007! After finishing 2nd outright in the Dutton Rally Western Australia a few weeks back, Snowy and Blaise have done one better this time and stormed the field in this years Dutton Rally Victoria! SAU-Vic had a strong representation at Dutton this year and I can only imagine next year there will be more giving it a righteous shot. It was a fantastic effort by the guys and girl considering some of the competition who had bottomless pit budgets and easy access to overnight parts from around the world (well, maybe not). Breaking it down: Outright Crew: Snowflake/Blaise - 1st Other outright results unavailable as the Dutton site screwed up their linking to the results. Outright Driver: Snowmobile - 2nd Scotsman - 14th Bellsy - 29th Brisby - 38th Golgo - 43rd Outright Co-Driver: Blaise - 1st Handbags - 22nd BigBird - 35th Juz - 43rd Handicap: Bellsy/BigBird - 4th Brisby/Juz - 7th Golgo/Richard Andrews - 18th Rookie: Bellsy/BigBird - 3rd Special mention to Scotsman and Handbags for finishing so high in the standings considering the mechanical failure suffered on Friday up in Shepperton which stopped them from competing in a number of the events! Bris and Juz went hard in the RB20 and put on a great show! Bellsy's Sil80 kicked ass as a drift machine and showed a lot of the more expensive machines out there that racing isn't just about having an expensive car. James looked the part in the Aston Martin Vantage but unfortuantely the clutch (and front bar) wasn't up to hardships of a Dutton weekend but finished in fine form looking very latte everywhere he went.

There's some awesome results in there from SAU Snowy/Blaise - Outright 1st Crew Snowy - 2nd Outright Driver Blaise - 1st Outright Co Driver Ryan/Jarrod - 3rd Rookie and 4th in Handicap honors Ryan - 1st Rookie Driver Jarrod - 9th Rookie Co Driver James in the Aston Martin Vantage - 15th Handicap (but sexiest car there) Bris/Juz - 20th in Handicap Jeff Beable - Outright 12th Driver (in his Evo9) Keep up the great work people and anyone who's not doing much tomorrow should come down to Sandown or Dandenong and support SAU conquer Dutton Vic!! Schedule can be found at http://www.duttonrally.com/_assets/VICeventschedule07.pdf

Here are some of my shots DECA - August 2007

Some great shots in there especially of SMAUG after going to the toilet and TB antics! Mav is surely a busted unit!

Ooooo. what a weekend! Firstly, thanks again to Andrew, Chris and all the volunteers for running another professional production. DECAs are always tight on time and with some things like water on the track, it makes things that much tighter. Thanks to Paul and Ash (and for a brief time Adz) for the BBQ. Another ace effort in feeding all the hungry competitors and spectators. Thanks to Taco Baz and all his lovely staff for putting up with us again. I think they all have as much fun as we do when we invade the shop. The chicks there were great and a special mention this time for helping Ryan, Evan, Al and I celebrate our birthday with a tequila shot and a box of chocolates! That was the first shot I've had in about 3 years and possibly the first tequila shot I've done since the 90s!!! If it wasn't for the worm getting stuck in my throat halfway down, I reckon I would have got the whole lot down. Thanks also to the lovely staff for getting us into the Aussie Bar with the hats. If it wasn't for the inside connections, I'm sure we would have all been rejected again. Memorable moments include: My first run round the Long Wang after Snowy's speech about how quick the track was going to be. I guess some people just will never listen Bart Simpson, Flanges and 3-2-1-GOOOOOOOONE! The chicks celebrating a birthday next door to TB's loved us too after we kindly donated a few hats to their birthday cause. At least 1 of them were pretty decent. The poor bugger who got pulled over outside TB's by the chick cops. Usually we're trying to avoid police but this time, we all flocked to the divey van like moths to a flame before being told rather harshly to move and carry on about our own business. That's about it for now, I'm sure I'll think of more things as the week drags on. Oh, and Tony, even though Mav may have been quicker than you in your car, your drifting looked 1000% better and you're lucky Mav didn't break your car

Happy Birthday peeps! Hope you have a great one! See you in Shep!

I've been running a SMC and CDI in my car for the last 5 years and it's been great (when it's running)! The only problem I would say it has in regards to tuning is that the cold start tuning on it sucks the big one and for some reason, the Motec handles cold start a lot better. Last year, the CDI decided to die on me though for no apparent reason and after being quoted $850 to fix it by Richard Aubert, I just bit the bullet and bought a new one from Autronic instead. Most recently though, the car died (Tues) and there's no power going to the Autronic for some reason. It just suddenly stopped. Hope I don't have to buy a new Autronic ECU now

Mick is a deadset legend and his work cannot be questioned. Full Presidential backing from me

Oh noes! They're all gone! It's like selling puppies really. You kinda get attached to them but once they're gone, you'll be happier for it mate. Favorite memory? Listening to the SAU Niva with no exhaust when someone came up with a brilliant idea of chopping it off and get a rally noise from it. Also the appearance at the AutoSalon of the F1 GP and winning a trophy was hell funny. Great times.

Happy birfday Juz!!! We all know you're working hard and can't read this thread but our thoughts are with you anyway!!
-
Happy Birthday Petey!! Hope you get some really cool pressies... Oh wait, you'll already have your car back for DECA won't you???
-
Definite nomination for photo of the year (even if it has been modified slightly). Stop taking photos of other people's engines Ash and post your own! Without exterior shots, your photo is about as much proof of a semi-completed car as Bush had of Iraq having WOMD

Hi Connie, I'll take a S please.

What this means is that Justine will look after our major corporate sponsors who want things such as naming rights to events and have special requirements to be met before signing up as sponsors. Other organisations who simply wish to be minor sponsors or support the club will be catered for by the general committee.
-
As you may or may not know, Justine (MissJuz) was the Sponsorship Manager for SAU-Vic. which involved looking after all sponsors and supporters of SAU-Vic. Due to the great support we are receiving from many organisations, it is now close to impossible for Justine to put in all the effort required to service our supporters' needs. With this in mind, Justine has now changed her role to Corporate Sponsorship Co-Cordinator. This means that Justine will now sign up, liaise and support our larger corporate sponsors and can be contacted via email at stickers@sauvic.com.au. The SAU-Vic Committee would at this point like to thank everyone who has sponsored and supported the club over the past years and we appreciate and encourage small businesses and club supporters to join SAU-Vic by contacting any other member of the SAU-Vic committee as we are more than happy to discuss our various sponsorship and supporter packages.

I guarantee >90% of people on this forum will say RacePace. Sven is the God of RBs. His work cannot be questioned.
-
Due to personal reasons and ongoing work commitments, Alan (Saff_Cossie) has stepped down from the SAU-Vic committee effective immediately. We'd like to thank Alan for all the time and effort he's put into the club helping to organising events with Mav. Mav will continue running and organising events on behalf of SAU-Vic and should anyone have queries in regards to events or event organisation, feel free to email us events@sauvic.com.au or any of the SAU-Vic committee can be contacted for more information.

Congrats Snowball and Tara!! 2 little girls in the house now. Has there ever been 2 sisters racing at a professional level before? Hope mum and Zoe are doing well. We do care about you Snowy but you're not that important at this point in time
