    Bond Or Bauer

My thoughts exactly Rod. Back to basics Bond was awesome! No more saving the World from being blown up sh|te. If you want to gadgets, go see a Matthew Broderick movie. I would have liked to see the DBS a bit longer but all the recent Bond movies have had the car destroyed within 60 secs of driving.
  4. As mentioned above, Ice does not have a dyno. Nige at Racingline Motorsport around the corner does some of the tuning but Gerald also uses another place if Nige is busy.

    Bond Or Bauer

After watching Casino Royale last night (which was pretty damn good), the thought entered my mind. Who is cooler... Bond or Bauer? I'm talking about Jack Bauer from CTU in 24. There are defiantly pros and cons to both characters but similarities include: Both are uber super agents Both work for their government on crap salaries (or so you'd imagine) Both have the same initals They both can withstand more pain than any other living human being They've both died numerous times on the job (without claiming Workcover) They both kick ass and don't bother taking names They both can legally kill people without any apparent reason Their governments conveniently deny their existence when it suits them I can't be bothered going through their cons coz it;s too hard to find holes in who they are. So who is your choice and why?
  6. S2000 is hard to beat in a Jap car. My OS Giken 5 speed is pretty nice to drive and tough too but it's really hard to go pass the paddles of a E46 M3. Awesome box with lightning like shifting. No manual shifter could do it. Dog box included! Might be trying out the new M5 box soon too
  7. Hi All, Just wondering if anyone had time to give me a sneak preview of what my car would look like with different coloured rims. I'm looking for images in bronze, gold, gunmetal grey and black. If anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
  8. I had my car dynoed at Melbourne Autosalon in both RWD and AWD within a span of 24 hours of each other and no changes were made to either the dyno or the car except for the removal of the driveshaft. In AWD, my car made 604awkw and in RWD, the car made 617rwkw. Regardless of how the dyno was configured intially, all the settings for both the dyno and the car remained the same. The only thing which changed was the ambient temperature and humidity in the Melbourne Exhibition Building which would be considered as negligable. Hope this info helps.
  9. The crowd has spoken Pete! It didn't work in the Vic section and it won't work here either! Keep it as is or change the color completely! Midnight Purple 3 FTW!!!
  10. Happy belated birthday Jack! Been flat out and haven't read the forums since Mon
  11. Congrats on kiddie #2!! Although it would be sad to see the GTR go, we all know you're a little over it and want to defect over to Team Cheater. Your car really is in a class of it's own and is awesome at everything it does. Good luck with the sale (if he wants it). Now it's time for the time wasters to call
  12. Rod joins Team Evo! Great work mate. Pics!!
  13. Happy birthday for yesterday mate.
  14. Very sexy shots!! Damn it was a good day out there!
  15. Thanks for everyone for showing their support for SAU-Vic! We (the committee) do these things for you, the members of SAU-Vic to socialise and help promote our club! Today was a complete success with a huge turnout and the best weather this side of the equator. A big thanks to all the committee who put in the hard yards for organising such a great event and extra kudos to James for securing such an excellent location (we're the 1st car club eva to exhibit at Birrarung Mar)! There was a lot of logistical preperation for this and everything worked like clockwork. It really was a sign of the club maturing. As long as we have the support of the club, the committee will always strive to put on great events.
  16. JAGR33's car is the ultimate street/circuit setup. Copy his 2860 setup and you won't go wrong.

    Deca Review

Well it looks and sounds like everyone had fun. Hope the problems with people's cars aren't too serious. Photos look cool. Looks like the Brembros on the Evo are pretty good. Alan looks like he almost did a full on nose plant!! Am I missing something here or did a certian XR6 Turbo taxi not run? I didn't see any photos of it... Damn my rims look good on Nige's car!

    U2 Concert

I was there last night. Started queuing at 1315 and got into the Elipse area and by the time the concert started, I was 5 deep from the stage. At 1 point, I Bono was so close, he touched the hand of a girl 2 across from me. Words can't describe how good this concert was. I've been to ZooTV, PopMart and now Vertigo and I can't seperate the 3 from an experience point of view as I've been in prime viewing points at all 3.. All the favourite songs were played and of course as expected Bono took the opportunity to speak his mind about some political issues focussing on making poverty history and ecouraging everyone to look at www.makepovertyhistory.com.au It's amazing how 1 person can control 60,000+ people with so much ease. He asked people to pull out their phones and light up Telstra Dome like a Xmas tree which everyone did and then he asked them all to SMS their name to 191221 to support the Make Poverty History charity. The 4 hour wait outside was definately worth the wait and another event I'll never forget.
  25. I've been here all weekend but simply had too much fun reading your posts. Why is it everyone always wants to start a mutiny? Aren't we doing enough for you people? Oh, and the guy who looks after the promo girls is Ash. He used to be normal before he got the posting...
