If anyone has any decent video footage or photos of my car, can they post them up please for my collection. I know it sounds rather egotistical but I'm hoping (and regretting) that this may have been my last DECA with Team Purple and I want as many memories as possible.
-
Shit Daz, that sucks. I hope your car and Nathan's GTR come out of it ok. I think the pergola was a good idea but it just wasn't thought out very well. Should have probably been secured down when you guys put it up.

Another DECA Championship over and a tightly contested battle for Champion honours. Congratulations to Chris and Andrew for putting it a massive effort again this year to organise such a well presented event schedule. Thanks to Carsales for sponsoring the entire Championship and special thanks go to all the volunteers who helped out this year and making DECA what it is. Without your help, there is no chance it could ever run as smoothly as it has. Personally, I had a ball! Managed to avoid any solid objects and the car held together nicely. Long Wang was a bit of a disappointment for me as I screwed up in the basketball court BOTH times but the Short Wang was heaps of fun as usual. Skidpan and Battles were ace as usual and I think at last check, I may have even won one of the events! <Fingers Crossed> Not sure if the battle courses were hard to remember due to the heat of simple exhaustion but they certainly were challenging. Thanks to whoever let me whore their passenger seat through the day but special thanks to Handbags (Thanks for lending me your helmet Juz ; )for letting me shotgun his 1st Long/Short Wang runs. Big Red is simply amazing and farking quick! Adam is a very talented driver and that car is a complete animal! I don't think we had ANY traction through either of the runs which led it to be one of the most fun things ever! No photos from me unfortuantely. Forgot the camera but I'm sure there will be plenty of photos and vids going around. Hanging for next year's Championship!

Be sure to come to collect your trophies! Noone on the committee wants to be carrying these things in our boots for the next 3 months before you decide to come pick them up
-
Paul, I've got my esky in the boot already. I'll be heading up this arvo once I get out of work.
-
My votes are in! And that includes the President's award
-
Happy belated birthday Scotty. Hope you had a good one mate!
-
Oooo yeah! 5 more sleeps to go! I got the car back on Fri and it looks farking ace! Mick did an A1 top class job and I can't wait to get it out again for some fun. I'll probably be a little more careful with the tyre wall attraction thing though.
-
Apologies for the supporter post. It is true that the 5% discount only applies on detailing services. Sorry for the confusion. Supporter thread has been updated.
-
Happy birthday mate! Don't work too hard. It could get dangerous in your old age.
-
Don't go the stake Mav! I hear it tastes a bit woody. I do recommend the steak and prawns combo though. Last time I had them, they were ace!

I think the interior is much nicer than the current version though. It's got more comfy bits inside which makes it a more comfortable daily driver which you can have fun in. I found the IX to be a bit spartan inside and dare say that the interior of the 07 WRX was much nice than the IX. The X however overcomes this and puts in some cool toys and comfy features to make a nice compromise. In the end though, it's still an affordable pocket rocket for OS students coming over for a couple years

Oooopsy. Should work now.

Last night I had the pleasure of being at the launch of the new Evo X at Rod Laver Arena. It only had about 80 odd people in there and there wasn't a massive fanfare for it but the event still provided food and drink After looking over the new EvoX, I think it's going to be a very good car. It comes in either manual or the Mistu DSG equivalant and the higher speced models like the MR will have leather, a monitor in the dash, Bilstein suspension and some other cool bits. Estimated cost is around the low 60s which makes it a pretty cool car as a daily and weekender. Available from March/April 08 Evo X launch pics

Here's your reminder kiddies! Meeting is next Tues! Mick from Micolour will be coming down to have a bit of chinwag about what goes on in his wonderful workshop. Don't miss it!

Special projects involves things like helping organising large SAU-Vic events such as MAS, GP, GOR cruise, NSW trip, etc or any other event which requires attention by more than a single committee member. Essentially, it's a fancy title for Committee mole
-
The SAU-Vic Committee are proud to annouce that Ash (R31Nismoid) is rejoining the SAU Vic Committee. Ash will rejoining the committee effective immediately and will be in charge of Special Projects, as well as helping out in other areas. You can contact Ash on - ash@sauvic.com.au.

I think for the fact that Sandra was wearing shorts, there wouldn't be all that much to capture
-
Ummm, yeah nah Shan. She doesn't That's Sandra on the right and Kate on the left, two of SAU-Vic's newest members! Yay!
-
My photos are now up. Leewah MAS photos If you want any of them in full size (1600x1200 and about 1 meg each), PM me with your email address and I will send them to you.

I've got pix but haven't got time to put them up right now. Will try to do it tomorrow night.

Most powerful car (and 6 cylinder 4wd) went to the RH9 (well almost RH9) GTR which made 724.8awkw. It was a monster of a car and looks the goods too. Most powerful 6 cylinder rwd was the ESP Supra with 600+rwkw Most powerful 4 cylinder 4wd was the Diablo WRX with 450awkw Most powerful FWD NA was some CRX thing which made 125ish fwkw Can't remember the rest.

Oh yeah! Forgot to mention, Handbags took out the runner up trophy for "Tough as Nails" which is a great effort and an award close to my heart Kudos to you Adam! Well deserved
-
God Dammit!! I'm a truely busted unit! SAU-Vic definitely put on it's best show yet. As Ash mentioned, we won a trophy for Best Club Theme (runner up) but given that clubs like Allure put in a truely massive effort, they were well deserved winners. Thank you so much to our models (Sandra, Kate, Fiona, Kayla, Ang and Lauren (dissappointed by Julie not being able to make it but oh well)) for putting a huge effort in supporting and promoting SAU-Vic. You did us proud! We hope that everyone who entered had a good weekend and enjoyed their MAS experience. Next big show will the Australian GP in March so keep your eye out for details. We're definitely going to be representing there as usual and if you think this weekend was fun, you won't know what hit you when the GP comes round! I'll put photos up this week for all to see. Off to beddy byes now.

Ended up leaving around 2100 which was a good time to leave. The stand is looking ace and I'm really happy with the way it's turned out. Thanks to everyone who's put in a big effort to get us to where we are now. All we have to do is make it through the weekend... RH9 is there again sporting a nice T88-GK rather than the 3542s of previous years. Expecting to see well over 750awkw from that.
