  1. Andy, The earth was part of the plug used on the stereo controls. Pulled the steering wheel off to re center it, but couldn't find an earth strap/cable anywhere. I suppose I can earth off the pin that the plug used, but that's a bit dodgy - where does the cable usually originate from? Sean
  2. Hi guys, The previous owner of my M35 had bought these and intended to put them on the car. I don't want them so up for sale they go. 2x Infiniti emblems 1x Infiniti lettering. All are plastic, chrome in appearance and are brand new $15.00 each incl postage or the lot for $30.00 Pics via email Thanks guys, Sean
  3. Hey guys, I managed to fix the shuddering, think it was related to the steering being turned and the Synchro switch on when reconnecting the battery. Let the ECU drain power, realigned steering wheel and problem solved. However, My horn still won't work. I can't quite figure out how it works on this car, can anyone shed some light? I've had a look at the mechanism underneath but can't spot anything wrong. Cheers, Sean
  4. Argg... Checked ECU codes and nothing came up but my horn's not working either FML - I don't want to take the steering wheel off again... Any ideas? Sean
  5. Hi guys, I took off my steering wheel today to remove my steering mounted cd player controls for another member. I didn't quite line up the steering wheel 100% true with the wheels, as such its at an angle when travelling straight. I've noticed the steering is quite notchy, would shake randomly (especially over bumps) and not smooth, so I re-centered the wheel, but the problem is still there. While the steering wheel was off and the car was turned off (with battery disconnected), I did move the steering from side to side to locate the centre (from full lock to full lock) for the clock spring. Are there any other reasons this may have occurred, and if not, any problems I may encounter (needing to reset etc..) Cheers, Sean
  6. Well mine are up for grabs then, I don't believe the standard single DIN stereo comes with the remote port at the back. Let me know if you want it Sean
  7. I have the steering wheel controls installed on my car. Anyone know if the adaptor can get them to work with the standard single DIN cd player? If not they'll be up for grabs if anyone's interested. /thread hijack

  12. Hi guys, My Stagea's for sale Here's the link My 2002 Nissan Stagea for Sale If you have any questions or want to know more then just ask Sean
  13. Hi guys, A regretful sale of my 2002 M35 Stagea. This car has been amazing to drive and is a much loved part of my family. It has all the power of a 2.5L turbo, coupled with Nissan's great ATTESA system which delivers up to 50-50 split AWD when the drive wheels lose traction. The car comes fitted with many extra's including: - Pod filter - FET fully automatic turbo timer - Custom turbo back exhaust with an X-Force rear muffler. Nice sound, not too loud but nice and throaty - RDA slotted front and standard rear disc rotors (changed at 93,000km) - QFM HPX brake pads (changed at 93,000km) - Trust BOV - Earthing kit - Custom iPod integration (watch Australian TV on the factory TV, listen to music from your iPod/iPhone through the factory stereo or even watch a movie from your iPod/iPhone through the factory screen and stereo! Included is wiring for a second screen to be placed in the back - Steering wheel controls (Will work with the double din unit I planned to upgrade to, however the car is sadly for sale) - 18" M35 ARX wheels with 90% new tyres. These wheels suit the car great and the offset is perfect. - Factory HID headlights with auto on/off function - Aero front bar (without foglights) - Log book since import and aftermarket warranty until 2013 This car has a massive boot - it will swallow anything you throw at it. Smart storage under the boot area also gives you place to store the cargo cover, first aid kits etc... Factory privacy glass on the entire rear of the vehicle means its easy to see out but hard to see in. The boot has two modes of opening: Open the entire boot or just the glass portion. Great for grabbing things out quickly or putting in a few bags of shopping. On the highway, this car is amazing. Smooth and powerful - overtaking is a breeze. You can easily pass the time by listening to your iPod or iPhone music, or letting your passengers watch a movie. Only selling as my partner is upgrading to a new, larger car so we have no need for two big cars and, of course, my toy must go. Just the usual parking scratches, nothing big and no accident history. Asking price - $18,990.00 or nearest offer - Pictures below
  14. Cheers, Just checked the DBA website for reference. Are all the 350Z model discs ok except the Brembo equipped? (ie. touring/track model variants share the same calipers?) Cheers, Sean (the noob)
  15. Hi guys, My M35 has a bit of shudder on braking so I'm looking at replacing them if skimming doesn't sort them out. I've read on the site that the non-Brembo 350Z discs are a direct replacement. Is this for front and rear? I'm most likely going to get slotted fronts and standard rears so if you have any recommendations or part numbers that would be great. Additionally, I'm going to be replacing the pads at the same time with some QFM A1RM pads for front and rear based on my readings from the site. What part # suits the M35 in these pads? Cheers guys, any help on part numbers and best suppliers would be great. Sean
  16. Hi Chris, Can you please give me a price on the following items posted to ACT: Shifter surround (silver disc) Trans cover (bit that goes under the shifter disc, cup holder not needed) Ash tray assembly (hazard light not needed) Thanks mate, Can't PM yet as I don't have enough posts. Cheers, Sean
  17. Nothing's wrong with the silver circle. Just looking for a new ashtray + console as they were butchered in a botch install job for an ashtray mounted iPhone dock...
  18. Hi guys, Was wondering if anyone had or knew of somewhere that I could get a hold of the centre console (don't need the shifter circle thing) and ashtray to suit '02 M35 Stagea. Grey in colour. Cheers guys Sean
  19. Hi guys, Is there somewhere I can find the airbag fault codes? I put my car into diagnosis mode and received the following: 1 long flash followed by 2 quick flashes. Symptoms: Airbag light flashes during normal driving/key in the 'on' position. Doesn't seem to affect anything but wouldn't mind it gone. Previous owner states its due to the V35 steering wheel controls that are mounted. Steering wheel controls don't work with the standard single din unit. I've looked everywhere for the codes but can't seem to find it. Additionally, what is the consensus of swapping over to the double din unit? I've seen the BOSE units are pretty crappy.. Suggestions? Cheers, Sean
  20. ScottyNM35 - I can't send a PM due to my post count being under 10 posts. Do you have a mobile # I can send the vin number to? Cheers
  21. Cheers iamhe77 - is that for both or just the one bank? I assume just the one bank although I may as well do both while I'm there Sean
  22. So the general consensus is that it is a relatively easy fix? Where would I go about sourcing a gasket if need be? Sean
  23. Hi guys, I recently purchased my M35 250T RS privately and am based in Canberra. Today while driving home from work I noticed a distinct burning-oil-type smell coming from the AC vents that disappeared when the AC was turned off. Additionally, when I pulled over and opened the bonnet I could see a faint smoke (if you will) coming from the passenger side near the dipstick. The car was only recently serviced on Tuesday last week and the previous owner has not had any trouble with the car in such a way before. I had a quick look underneath and there is a bit of oil residue/seepage near the turbo (Passenger side). I haven't noticed a decrease in boost pressure and engine temps are fine (as far as stocko guages can tell me). From work colleagues who have been car pooling with me at the time and on earlier dates; they say they've noticed it very briefly when driving around but thought it was the vehicles that were in front of us at the time. The main thing is, my partner's car is in strife and we're due a baby any day now so I want to know what this is so I can rectify it ASAP, so I ask what are possible options for this? P.S - LONG time reader, first time poster Sean
