  1. Wicked, i'll be giving it a go on saturday, as well as replacing the ribbed part of the intake with a pipe.
  2. Sorry to drag up an old threat, but i'm going to tackle this next weekend. Have already done the throttle body, as it was idling at 200rpm in drive, now 900rpm. Any do's and donts I should be worried about? Under the intake stack, the ports that go into the black, are they ok to spray with carb/brake cleaner and then just engine start after? It's at 180,000km, VQ25DD, doing spark plug's at same time.
  3. Gave it a damn good clean. Polished headlights, shiney and clear again! Pulled throttle body off and clean all the sludge out, it now idles properly! Next mission, spark plugs, clean intake plenum, install catch can, new handbrake and start sound install.
  4. 1. Can only speak for R34 tiptronic and they are pretty good shifters, quick response compared to a Legnum. 2. Same wear and tear as any other wagon, treat it right it will be good to you. But being part of the Skyline family means it shares alot of the same parts, compared to Legnum. 3. RB reliability(if serviced) compared to a ticking time bomb? Stagea will outlast a Legnum any day.4 You can make any car last My RX7 has lasted me 4 years without any issues, proper servicing, going over it regularly for any leaks, loose bolts, wearing parts.
  5. No complains about Ryco either. Have run them on all of my cars, including both RX7 race cars.
  6. Stretch tires fixes all. I'm running a 9.5 with +15, rim sticks out a mile, but with a 235/45 its legal begal, and good stance.
  7. I have a mate in brizzy who's coming over to NZ soon, so he'll bring it with him. It's just I cant find any stageas wrecked that they don't want an arm and a kidney for parts.
  8. Hamilton, M35 Stagea & RX7
  9. How much for plastic trim on the rear passenger door? Just the 1 peice at the bottom of the door that seprates the carpet and doorjams
  10. Just don't wrap stainless, especially cheap chinese manifolds. Ceramic coating is where it's at
  11. M35 rocks for car audio, so much options and so easy to install too. I'm planning to go full aftermarket once I throw my slushbox and vq25 away. Link ECU will mostly likely be the choice. Congrats on the new car, I can understand the downgrade, i've driven a Evo 7(not quite an 8 MR) but yeah I see how you'd feel haha
  12. Nothing will ever beat the look on my mates face when I overtook him sideways on the outside lane of a roundabout.. He didn't believe me Stags could kick the rear out. Standard 16s FTW, won't do it now on my T1Rs. Time for more power..
  13. Each garage will have a different charge. It's an hourly rate usually, so just go in and ask some places. At a guess, i'd say a good 2-3 hours, but i've never done a V35 exhaust
  14. V35 have pretty solid setup underneath, be pretty hard to do that kind of damage. Take it to your local Nissan dealership and get them to have a quick look, or someone wit ha V35 and jack both cars up and compare to see any difference.
  15. BC's are available in the link above. http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=457&page=1 So you could get that part number and take it to any BC stockist and get a price. Autolign can get Tein coilovers. As can TopTown, Mag And Turbo etc. Autolign will be your cheapest bet though.
  16. Spotted a Stagea in this video clip Swedish people must have a thing for volvo-copies haha
  17. Yeh, i'll try that next go. Usually it gets serviced at workshops(warranty rule) and mums work uses Penrite, which made the car smoke a bit when cold.
  18. Nissan reckons 10w30 is the best oil, so I've been using Valvoline 10w30 Semi-Syn, has been smoking a bit less lately.
  19. How low do the BRs go? Every shop I go to says i'm gona need to spend up to 4K if I wana put my stagea on the ground. But they could only find Tein and Silkroad coilovers.
  20. dalton, just ring your local repco/nissan and ask if stagea and v35 are same? Stay panel filter, pods just lose power in NAs, and also turbos if not boxed/fed cold air properly.
  21. Brakes on GTS25T are same as GTT are they not? Any wheel thats 5x114 will fit. Altezza, Stagea, 300ZX, RX8, RX7, V35/G35, 350Z, S2000, Accord, Silvia, Maxima, 180SX, etc. Just go to a Nissan wrecker and ask for any 5x114.3 space savers to try on your car, should be nice enough to let you. RX7 ones are quite cool, they are a proper mag wheel, but still as tiny as the factory spacies.
  22. Hmm weird. I know running different size wheels/tires messes with 4WD, which is why GTRs are all same wheel size... Why would V35 be any diff?
  23. If you can get Racetech in Aus, i'd get my hands on one of them. I've got a Racepro, not quite as good quality but still awesome.
  24. Wow you guys have cheap track insurance.. My RX7s insured for 35K agreed, and 700 a year
  25. Personally i'd never buy something like that from Repco/Supercheap/Other retail monster. Always go to a trade shop, better product and often will give a good discount if you ask nicely. I've got a set of 6ton stands(no brand, trade shop ratchet type) and they're solid. I still put a few wheels under the car if i'm under it though. Never rely on just stands, no matter what brand or quality.
