Mra - Last Round - Wakefield 30Th October
TurboWood replied to evil_weevil's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
I will be keeping the R33 and will be racing that, pending whether i can keep it street registerd. It seemed that the red evo in the super TT class had number plates, i didnt get a close enough look in the pits and wasnt sure if it was road registered or he just liked number plates, but there seemed to be a few cars without a full cage (unless im blind), so still not sure if i can just put a half cage and keep it registered. I will ring someone in the MRA in the coming weeks and have a chat. I know i didnt go and say hello, you where in the last pit stall i think, you where chatting and then my shyness kicked in. Regards, -

It was a good day on sunday, and it certainly was busy on track during the qualifying laps, not that much room for anyone at all. What did happen in race 1 chris when the front cars disapeared? Nice work out there also. Seemed like a really well run event from a spectators point of view there was a really quick turn around on the races and some nice cars there to. Cheers, -

Gents, Hope all is well. Digging up an older thread, there only seems to be rules for the mini's on the MRA website, i tried emailing one of the contacts on the website with no luck. Can someone tell me where to get the regs for the other classes. By the way i will be keeping the R33 and using it. Cheers, Daniel

The only reason for going a skyline is because i like them. What would be a car that is cheap to start with that i can modify over time and race more seriously moving into cams events, etc (is there such a thing)? Also the irace looks interesting, rather annoying oran park is no longer around though. Cheers,

Hi Guys & Girls, I am looking at buying a cheap r32 gtst to start racing in. The car will still have to be registered as towing it may not be an option at this stage. I would like to start door to door racing and have been reading and searching through the forums looking at the MRA and a few other catagories. What is the best option for me as i am having trouble trying to digest all of the rules and regs for the different catagories. Keeping in mind i would eventually like to start racing more competitively and would like to stick to the r32. If anyone can point me in the right direction or if there is someone i can ring and speak to about this that would be great. Also where is a good place to look for a cheap r32, i have been keeping a close eye on the classifieds section, my105, etc. Any help/ suggestions & opinions would be great. Regards, Daniel

Tyre Wall Damage
TurboWood replied to TurboWood's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry haven't got a better picture, it is only 2mm, 3mm absolute max deep. I almost cried when i got home because they are brand new and only drove 10kms on them. cheers, Dan -
Hey Folks, I have attached a picture of my rear tyre showing some damage on the tyre wall. Is this something that you would be concerned about? The tyres where rubbing on the guard. Any advice or concerns would be great. ps. sorry about the size of the photo Regards, Daniel

Good day and it was nice to see a reasonable crowed at a Motorsport event at EC. Sorry about the sizing i had to cut them in paint because the file sizes where big. Cheers, Daniel
