  1. Thx for the advice mate, Is there a reason why people seem to recommended going for 32gtr over 33gtr? I can't work it out (other than price obviously - But its not a huge difference)
  2. Hi all, So soon i'm going to be in the market for a new car. I'm looking for opinions of what I should go for, I'm torn between 3 cars right now .... R32 GTR (Not really fond of how it looks) .. R33 GTR or a S15 Silvia (6sp turbo).. I currently drive a R34 but meh... I love how they look, But im slowly falling out of love with it. And I simply can't afford a 34GTR right now. Previously I also had an RX7 on my mind, But from what i've researched they take a lot to maintain and probably not good for an every day driver? Any help would be great! Thoughts... Or previous experience! .. I may be open to suggestions for a vehicle not mentioned here, But meh. Cheers, C (EDIT - Im not on my Ps... have not been for many years, No driving restrictions etc)
  3. Wow thats insane mate, exactly what im looking at ... thank you!
  4. Sweet jesus... this is by far the best condition 32GTR i've ever seen for sale... If I were after a 32 i'd buy in an instant, GL with the sale
  5. Thats what im talking about mate! Looks great, Is that a R34?
  6. Cheers, Anyone else got a slightly more detailed explanation? From the looks of things they don't swap so easy, so I assume certain parts need to be moved or changed?
  7. Ok so I have no idea where I should post this, If i'm wrong please move it - or not a mod, tell me . I HATE how the rb25de and det neo engine covers look.. I cant stand the square box. I just despise it. But after taking it off, Im not a huge fan of how it looks underneath... it just looks a bit shitty imo. Im much more a fan of the longer rectangle ones, eg from the rb26's, I read a while back somebody saying they were actually a direct match and could be swapped, anyone confirm if this is true, where I could get one, and the process? thx Also, even if the covers arent direct swaps, maybe there are some better looking ones for sale out there that im not aware of? I want my engine bay not making me sad every time I open the bonnet
  8. Absolutely in love with the car mate, Been stalking it on Carsales for a while now if I had the cash spare i'd buy it in a hearbeat. GL with the sale.
  9. Indeed... Looking at it that way I can see it could turn out to be a mistake lol. Sometimes I get an idea in my head... and like a bull at a fence off I go. Thanks Nismoid. xD
  10. Ok so, One of the cars I currently have is a R34 GT (aka non turbo) and it's also tiptronic (boo - But nice for "friendly" driving) ... I'm considering purchasing a Rb26dett from a R32gtr or maybe a r33gtr ... it would come with tranny, turbos engine and all major bits.. (Happy to transplant the transmission into my R34 to make it manual) My question is - Is it possible to swap the engine into my R34 without INSANE costing? ... what would be involved? ... can anyone think of any parts that I might need? ... has anyone done it before that can give insight? .... and finally, can anybody recommend anywhere in WA that is capable of doing it without making a huge debacle of it. (Please don't recommend Xspeed.)? Cheers
  11. Yeah... I'm considering going down this path. I am supposed to be coming into a little money from a will in the next 6 months, No idea how much. Depending on the amount I will either sell my GT and buy a Turbo.... or go for my "realistic" dream, buy a 350z, Whack in a twin turbo kit, and volia ... Haha.. But from what i'm reading it seems like the "easier" option is to just sell/re-buy. =( Shame.
  12. Thanks ML73ZR. Also something else I thought of, If I can get my hands on a turbo engine, eg; an RB25DET/NEO or even a R34GTR engine. + Turbo. Is it a relatively clean swap over, and what else would be needed? (Yah I know it'd be a much more expensive option. But to me it seems more reliable?)
  13. Hey all, I'm a really new user to these forums, But have been reading them for quite a few years. I don't know a HUGE deal about the mechanical side of cars, But I know enough to get me by. I was an auto sparky by trade for a while, Mainly stereos etc. That said, I'm looking for a little help from some of the more knowledgeable users on here, I'm hoping for a rough price range to convert my R-34 GT (RB25DE) to a turbo, what would be involved in doing so, and if it'd be a fairly pain free process. Note that there is no chance in hell I would be doing this myself, So I would be paying a professional performance mechanic to do it. Cheers guys, Thychiz.
