  3. Thought I'd share this with you guys, the money from these Pray for Japan stickers goes to the Japanese Red Cross. It's a great way to show some support for a country in a pretty devastating situation at the moment. http://www.forjapan.bigcartel.com/
  4. rb25det is in both the R33 and R34, however only the R34 has the rb25det with the NEO head (the engine cover will have 'neo' printed on it) and if you really like your car and can be bothered doing the conversion then go ahead but it is a lot of effort and most people will say just sell it and buy a manual, but it's up to you who cares what others think right?
  5. Update (have been too lazy to post), issue has been fixed. Although I told the mechanic to reset the ECU (he also said he had) I guess he mustn't have because the codes cleared up after a while of test driving it around. All good now
  6. I get on average 10ltrs/100km in mixed traffic in my rb25de on bp ultimate best was 9.something
  7. Haven't paid them yet! They say rebuild is fine, auto electrician said the wiring seems ok, they've tested the voltage at the solenoids (have been replaced) which seems to be all ok and the earthing seems to be ok too. They seem to be out of ideas of what it could be so I don't really know what my options are. Send my ECU's out to get them checked or even try sending it to a specialist to have a look over? When the errors are cleared the car drives fine so something for some reason is causing the error to pop up and jump into limp mode wether its faulty soleniods or something else lurking around. Don't really know what direction to take this in or what my options are?
  8. It's just been done and is still at the shop, they can't figure out why its still going into limp mode My guess is that its either an earthing issue or maybe the Auto ecu Any one have any ideas?
  9. Solenoid A before and after, its odd that the car will go in limp mode everytime it gets into 2nd from standstill after the codes get whiped while driving. Before I had the trans rebuilt the limp mode was 'normal' (for what it is) but now it seems to always just come up right away. However the car drives perfectly fine when not in limp mode
  10. I recently had to take my car in due to faulty solenoids (solenoid A error), turned out that there had been water in the tranny and needed a rebuilt so what needed to be replaced was replaced. However now with the new tranny / solenoids the car will still jump into limp mode. Car will start normal but as soon as it gets into 2nd/3rd it'll jump into limp mode. The error can be erased with the handheld device (while driving and in limp mode) but once you stop and take off again it'll jump back into limp mode each time. - Trans has been replaced. - soleniods been replaced. - Wiring looks OK. - Trying to see if another earth will help - Could it be an issue related to the tranny ECU? Does anyone have any ideas of what could now be the issue? Looking around on the forums there seems to be no sure answer and yes... manaul conversion is a 'last resort'
  11. P platers can't drive turbos anymore so N/A is the way to go for them which = demand

    Spotted Thread

I saw that on saturday too (detour on my way home from work), i was wondering what happened + saw a clean bayside blue 34 GTR at the front of doncaster autobarn yesterday
  13. The ones i've noticed the most is are the AI damage and the corrupted save game file bugs. If an AI car gets damaged (I.E their wing gets ripped off completely) they aren't affected. And if you do R&D during practise and then quit to the paddock/game your saved game file becomes corrupted (happened to me during my r&d at Albert Park GP), so obviously if you do R&D during practise just make sure you don't quit to the paddock without at least going into qualifying first. theres that list of all the bugs that was posted earlier on, but I have heard codemasters are meant to be releasing a patch to fix a lot of these issues soon
  14. yeah sucks not having a steering wheel and pedals
  15. pfft @ having traction control on I use my keyboard and I have it off lol I haven't really had a chance to do career mode just yet but I have done a couple GPs. It does seem a little easier than expected but other than that it seems pretty cool. I have rFactor with an F1 mod on it at home which is more realistic and harder. It has oil/water/tyre temps and tyre wear etc etc and its almost (would be easier with a steering wheel/pedals) impossible without any driver aids (traction control mostly)
  16. tbh I do agree, I never said Linux was a Windows killer or anything else like that but it is a good alternative (which i prefer over Windows).. although I did spend half the day yesterday logged into my Windows 7 install playing F1 2010. I thought all the trendy kids had iphones today, why would you wanna sell it?!
  17. Well my Linux machine does more than my Windows machine ever did and that includes multimedia type stuff and there are alternative programs for everything on linux and if there isn't you can just run it on wine or run windows within a virtual machine (VMware, virtualbox etc etc) + also at least with linux you can choose what type of system you have and what it does and not just install Windows 7 and have it using 700mb on startup
  18. I use Arch Linux on my home PC and dual boot with Windows 7 for games as playing GTA Vice City with Wine (windows compatibility layer) in Linux wasn't the greatest thing ever (nor the worst). Had been using Ubuntu for awhile before I started using Arch but I've fallen in love with Arch Linux now. rolling release, specifically having to chose everything you want and writing your own scripts to customise what your system does > * fyi itunes on linux http://www.ehow.com/how_5197743_download-i...nux-ubuntu.html + rhythmbox is like itunes and you can also transfer stuff on to your ipod with it

  20. I delt with Jeff and he was pretty laid back, but he reports to shane. whatever offer I made he spoke to shane about it. to be honest if its what you want and you like it, who cares what other people think there are def cheaper r34s out there but are they going to be as nice and are you going to like it as much? yeah it might be a little pricey but paying 1k or w/e more than you orginally wanted to wont matter too much in the end
