  1. Hey all, I have a 2nd hand Hyperflow bar and plate intercooler for sale. it was bought to go into my stagea, but unfortunately won't fit. core size is 670x280x90mm. piping connections are 2 1/2". mounting tabs suit S14/S15 - bottom mounts connect to the radius rod brackets. there is some fin damage, but nothing that would be overly detrimental to it's operation. selling for what it cost me,$150. will also swap for a smaller cross-over style intercooler. please Pm,reply here,or call my mobile if you're interested. 2. I've hit the limiter a few times as well,it's a pain in the arse. I wouldn't advise just cutting pinouts on the ecu. besides just putting fault codes into it,you may lose the dash's speedo display,or even gears,as the gearbox ecu may no longer receive speed informaton... it is much safer, although more expensive to fit something to rectify the problem. either a power fc to do everything,or an interceptor to cancel the speed cut like an apexi RSM,HKS SCD,or a pivot SML-M. I have the pivot speedo/timer/speed cut eliminator on hand, and will fit it when I get time. will let you know results if you like.

  4. my car has the factory 'privacy glass'. I had the front door windows tinted by sol ace in their 'midnight' spec film to get the match as close as possible. with one of those folding reflective shields put on the inside of the windscreen,my car stays cool all day long when parked in the sun,so the factory tint has to be keeping the UV out. Justin...
  5. most new cars do that as standard. my mother's lexus,my girlfriend's rav4,and pretty much everything else I can think of off the top of my head built after 2000 has this feature. Justin...
  6. I'm a member of the nissan sports car club, and atm,am the only stagea owner within the membership. the club is silvia/zed focussed, but caters for all nissan enthusiasts, particularly those who want to track race their cars. check it out at www.nissansportscarclub.org. Justin...
  7. my understanding is that the skyline cat back is completely differerent. the bends may be similar in some areas, but there are parts on the stagea that are not in the same locations on a skyline - such as the fuel tank and rear tow hooks, and the distance to the back of the rear bumper from the rear suspension looks different from what I've seen so far. 8. I quite like the responsiveness of the A/T in my stagea. in tiptronic/manual mode it's not going to change gears by itself at all so I'm not sure what you're trying to say there. resetting the ecu only takes 30 sec, pull the fuses out and wait, then re-install. as for changing the preset points, you could try chipping the A/T ecu,but unless you know exactly what you're doing, you're more likely to make it worse to drive than better. there are several factors that determine when the box will change gears, playing with them singly may produce the results you desire, but may also make things worse. tinker if you must. nissan generally get that sort of thing right though. 9. do any of you have the active diff as standard? any thoughts on the operation of these? Justin...
  10. check the tailshaft centre bearing would be my suggestion,if you've already eliminated the wheel bearings, wheels and tyres. it's possible someone has had the shaft out before and put it back in in a different orientation. normally this won't cause a problem, but if you have a worse-than-usually-balanced shaft,it would cause what you're describing. just out of interest, how much balancing weight is on your wheels? if there's a lot (as in over 50grams per side),that's indicative of another problem. Justin...
  11. do NOT drive around on tarmac with the centre diff lock enabled. you will get wind up in the driveshafts and diffs and will eventually break one,if not the transfer case as well. use the diff lock on slippery surfaces such as dirt, sand or snow ONLY. you can most likely fit an ATTESSA control module, which will give you the option of a more rear-biased split. I'll be trying this fairly soon on my car. Justin...
  12. sounds good mate. I might be interested in the dayz side skirts when the time comes that you want to change them. Justin...
  13. I've yet to see a high/low boost switch in a japanese car. they generally don't run turbosmart style bleed valves over there, which makes sense,as they get a proper EBC for about the price of a slab of beer more than we do for those crap hi/lo bleeders. the switch is probably for spotlights or something that the previous owner removed before he put the car in for auction. Justin...
  14. 34 GTT wheels look pretty good on a stagea. I run a set now as well, got them cheaply from a mate with an S14 who was going to use them for track work. gotta be happy with $450 incl. tyres... Justin...
  15. you'll eventually burn out the transfer case,as it'll be constantly compensating for the different rolling diameters front-to-rear. as for the std S2 17" wheel,I'm afraid I can't help with this,as I have only a compliance placard as well... Justin...
  16. I'm in on this 100%. if anyone in Sydney wants to do a combined order to save on freight or whatever, let me know and we'll organise it. Justin...
  17. nice choice mate. I put a set of R34 GT-T factory wheels on my car today. still looks like it's std,but is nicer, and handles much better. Justin...
  18. late model cars are going for a bit more down here in Sydney... I paid $37k for my '00 model. that '99 looks the goods though, top find! Justin...
