Went up yesterday. Had no issues at all. Rarely the rear would slip and the fronts would pickup. Didn't have any "oh shit moments" etc. Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, obviously having AWD does have a slight advantage over say RWD. I have driven on snow/ice before and know it's errm not great, just wanted to see if the ATTESA system is OK as its not a full time AWD system..

Hey guys, Wanted to know about driving the GT4 up to the snow. It's an NA skyline with the ATTESA system. I have done some searching on the forums but haven't got much of an answer. Looks like most people don't want to take GTR's up because: A) Expensive B) Too powerful/wheelspin everywhere. The GT4 is a cheaper and much, much less powered car. Was mainly checking if the ATTESA system was useless or would be decent. Will be going to baw to work this weekend and Hotham for a week in 2 weeks. Went up in a Rav 4 and had no problems.. I don't think it will be an issue, but yeah.. I'm sure someones done it before. Will have chains.

The only reason why is that a friend of mine gave me one and an RB25DET exhaust manifold. Both in decent condition.. I'm a uni student, just seeking a few extra KW to offset the slowness the AWD in my R34 gives me. It just need a tad more to be be enjoyable :-)

Yep! You're right, I didn't think about the AWD sump. So I guess the engine isn't compatible anyway.

Another option is to buy the Rb25det and cannibalise it for turbo parts, fit a thicker gasket to increase compression and run lower boost?

Hey guys, I have an R34 GT-4 and i've wanted to turbo it from day one. At first I was going to go down the route of slapping DET parts onto my DE Neo, but have looked into it and it appears it will be probably cheaper for me to just put an engine complete in it. Basically I have been offered an engine at a good price and it's fairly local. It's an RB25DET from an R33. So it's not a Neo. And it would be going into an R34. Is there anything I should know before comiting to it? I know the Neo system is better for fuel and pulls more power, but the power from the DET still out weighs that. Whats my best option for bang for buck.

might just go down the DET transplant route. Much work required to chuck an r33 RB25DET (Not neo) into the R34? Could I just pull off the parts I need and put them onto the Neo and keep that? Hmm.

Hey guys, Wanted to see if u can convert a NON Neo engine to being a neo engine. I'm hoping to get an R33 RB25DET engine into my R34. I was hoping that I could use the parts from my RB25DE Neo on it. I don't really understand the Neo stuff to be honest. It's a bit too high tech for me

Underneath is chrome. Quickly did a few layers of plastidip and they look great. Been on for a while now. Looking to trade for something else. Tyres have about 60% life left.

Cant tell by the pic, is it pre welded up to fit a ....? R34? I think the bend on the 34 might be a bit more aggressive. Interested if it would bolt on straight away though.

Holy thread revival batman! Just wanted to know if anyone would take a photo of the plug? Also would an N/A have the plug? minus the boost sensor of course. Looking to get rid of the Xanavi, this is probably the best route to go down. Hoping to drop a det in there oneday as its a GT4 and I do like the car.
