Ok, quit your job, sell your car/tools and sit out the 6 months surviving on baked beans. Im saying if your life depended on driving for your job and to pay your bills/rent unless you find a quick alternative your more than f**ked. Scummy cops not doing their paper work. But if your brother was doing 65 in a 60 zone OMGSH they will have their paper work out and be more than happy to lean on your bonnet filling out your fine. Doesnt help that he is a P plater....

Hmmm, you probably did something naughty as you havnt tried to defend what happened. =P but if your life depends on it (dont flame me) I would personally just keep driving but under a different car or number plates as if High way patrol pop your rego in their computer they will see your suspended. Normal police cars wont bother unless they are assigned to high way patrol as they carry out 'real' police work.

Was in NSW, and was on a 2 lane road overtaking a car as the speed was going to drop to 50 from a 70 zone. As i go to accelerate to take over maybe hitting 80 as the 50 zone approached the car i was overtaking was keeping up. , as a car was turning right further i gunned it to avoid a collision with the turning car. (yes i could have slowed down but i was in the middle of overtaking and the prick who i was overtaking was keeping up and sitting in my blind spot), As i get in front and in the left lane the car i just overtook swings around to the right lane after the turning car and pulls and makes gestures with his hand to slow down. Anyways i pull up to lights i roll my window down and see the guy was an off duty cop , i could tell by the police shirt her was wearing. He goes you know thats a 50 zone and you atleast hit 100.... SLOW DOWN!!!, I reply why the f*k did you speed up when i was overtaking, i wouldnt need to speed up if you knew how to drive. Knowing i had just admitted to speeding and was being a smart ass, i turned off and took the back streets home. Happened over 6 months ago didnt hear from the cop.

to add sault to inury as i lodged my form at the RTA the guy serving me was laughing at me for applying for an exemption for a v6. he didnt know it was on the list either.....

Should probably mention that i have already applied for an exemption under reasoning of being misinformed. The reason they didnt give it was they would have to admit "they" were wrong. They wont update the list either because people in my situation will be able to automatically qualify for an exemption on the grounds of owning the car before the car was placed on the list. I know my letter above has a slim chance but i got no choice but to continue to drive the car. I rarely drive at nights and only for work purposes in the day until i get my full license.

But see its a shady area as it is not on the list. When you type in v6 prohibited vehicles on the rta search option it shows up with the PDF and the vehicle is not listed.

I dont think there is legislation that outlines which cars are not allowed. I think if its on the RTA website its law, although i still drive around with the list in the car in case a cop pulls me up ill just show him that its the most updated list and my car is not on it.

Your exhaust tip is going to end up melting and morphing ur bumper as from the pictures it looks like they are touching.

Thats what i thought when i bought the car..... Its not on the list of prohibited v6 vehicles but listed on the rta website as a grey import and a variant of the the 350z. I even called the rta prior to purchasing the vehicle and they said it was NOT prohibited. Now im stuck with a car i cant drive.......

Just seeing if anyone can give thoughts on how to improve the letter or if they think this will fly? To the RTA I am writing to gain an exemption for a prohibited V6 vehicle to drive on my P2 license. Due to having my last application for an exemption not approved I was forced to turn down a job offer as a Real Estate Agent as a legal car and license was mandatory for the job. In search of income until I am able to gain my full license I am now self employed and need an exemption for the vehicle for employment purposes. I have started my own Automotive Electrical business which services Imported cars. The main services of my business are electronic work within import cars. I travel to the clients and service their cars at their locations and my Nissan Skyline is my only form of transportation. Its also this mentality that police men and soldiers are hero's. Dont get me wrong, it is sad when a police man or a soldier dies in action but when you see front page cover's of newspapers decorating fallen cops and soldiers as hero's and shutting off the CBD for their funerals for 1 person it really shows how out of place Australians really are. They died in action... but when 100,000 people die in mudslides in a remote part of asia its luky to be posted in the news between the weather and the sports.
