Pulled over by the cops yesterday.....Was driving in newtown and saw the padiwagon pull out of a side street just after i passed. Was raining and thankfully i was taxi driving my grandmother home so that helped. Made me count to 10, he then accused me of having alcohol in my breath. He then made me blow into the machine and there was no reading =D, he then looked around the car at my P plates checked my rego sticker then let me off after he said he could give me a $200 fine for having the rego sticker underneath the dark tint on the windscreen. I think he was unhappy he couldn't give me a ticket.

Ok tested again. At the moment after filling up with 91 unleaded from shell i have driven 64km and my trip computer reads 444km remaining. Think i will be sticking to unleaded 91.

Since I bought my v35 coupe in September i have been filling it up with the top unleaded. So shell 98 etc, I would get around 300-320km per tank. I know that is crap for such a modern car so I was going to take it in for a service to get things checked out.(by the way that's just pure city driving, top speed i hit is maybe 80 and then im speeding =P), One day the Pump only had standard unleaded and driving as I normally do i reset my speedo to keep track, i got 450km!!!!!!!. The next time i filled up i did the same thing with the standard unleaded and got 480km, without altering my driving patterns at all. So what I want to ask is, what are the benefits of using premium unleaded over standard when i gain an extra 140km. In the long term how does premium fuel help my car if it burns so quickly.

Since we are on the topic of buttons, i have a 70th anniversary edition coupe auto. The switch with the power/snow option I was wondering what does it actually make it do. I know when i turn it into slow the car goes all heavy and acceleration is crap (as expected dont want ur ass swinging out in the snow), But i want to know what does flicking it into to power actually do to the engine???

Dude.... buy a cassette to AV converter from ebay for like $6. Because the V's have cassettee players its perfect, i plug my ipod/phone so i can even use the car sound system as a speaker. ITs much more worth it than f**king around with the BOSE sound system.

Exactly the same as me except i got it for 26k originally 28k. ye my KM's were the same 26,000, but after driving for about 5000km i can tell it has done a bit more. When you get it open the glove box and there will be a sticker that would have been placed when the car under went a service in japan. Usually it ranges from 16,000km - 60,000, this sticker could give you an indication of the true km's on the car. But non the less the car is faucking awesome and you will always get the occasional stare with the look on peoples faces wondering what car it is. But im telling you right now 28k km's is false. + I would recommend getting the car serviced at another mechanic so they can do a thorough check as if a major part is wearing its not in your dealers interest to inform you as they will have to pay under the warranty. *** o yea i forgot like the above mentioned. It is black so i think you got a very good deal on it as it usually 2-3k more expensive than the normal 350gt***

Ye premium mate. You can tell via the volume controls on the steering wheel. and the Bose sound system. As for the price you are paying an alright price. It is a bit expensive but with the 3 years warranty and premium pack i guess paying an extra couple grand for peace of mind than buying it privately in Australia. I hope the importer is complying it for you as well. Also how many km's has it done. I know this is redundant as all imports have their KM's wound back before they ship them here but by looking at the quality and wear and tear of the seats it looks like its done 50k+. All in all you are paying an alright price, you arent getting ripped off, but with the 1 year rego u will still need to pay stamp duty and depending on your age u will spend an extra 1500-2500 on insurance.

do u mind me asking how u can get an exemption so easily for a 2 door coupe sports car?? its not like u can say that it is "needed" for work like a v8 ute. I thought the only way to get the exemption is if u owned it prior to it being put on the prohibited list.

cops r dumb.... i have the exemption and ive had countless RBT's, they dont ask for to see the exemption. And i know for a fact its not in the police data base because the RTA doesnt link information like that. So unless u get pulled over by a knowledgeable highway patrol cop u should be sweet. And if ur in NSW the vehicle was added on the list May 2010. Although its not even on the list its just briefly mentioned its a variant of the 350z and is a gray import. Its not on any RTA prohibited list.

LoL,only some1 with r35 should buy that. IMO they r worth around 8k

Also to note. The V35 is the main random car driving the streets in the New need for speed hot pursuit 2010.
