  1. Yeah I'm pretty sure jbs cost price is 350. It's worth extra money IMO. I had asuka in my v35. Was brilliant! In my accord I tried a cheapy.. It struggled to get reception. For the v36 i went back to an asuka in the form of zylux. Now brilliant again.
  2. Get Zylux tuner from JB hifi.. They are great quality build/picture/audio and reception wise. Price is about $350-$400..
  3. Thanks ill have a look. If i end up getting aftermarket jap wheels i want to try get something for maybe 1k + whatever i get for the factory wheels. So i guess my budget would be around 3k. Wish there was more v36's in Perth so i could just swap with someone for silver stockies.. I actually dont mind the stock 19's.. For once they got it right..
  4. How much would a set of good Japanese wheels cost me to replace them with?
  5. Not really sure to be honest. Im guessing they would be worth around 2.5 - 3k??? I would need to buy a new set before i could send them over though.. Your in vic right?
  6. failing this, i might sell the black wheels and go after market.. Does anyone know how much the factory wheels are worth?
  7. When i bought my car it came with the factory 19" wheels professionaly powdercoated black. I was never a huge fan of black wheels but it grew on me in the end.. But now im after a change so was wondering if any other V36 coupe owners out there with factory silver colour rims that want to swap for something different? Mine are mint condition apart from one little chip on the front left wheel. Id prefer to swap including tyres as long as the wear is around the same. Saves us going to the tyre shop. Also FYI im in WA and would prefer not to have to ship them intersate. But id consider it. Tyres are Bridgstone Potenza - Ill have to check the tread but i think its around 40-50% all round. Heres some pics. cheers
  8. Thanks for the info. It is pretty annoying right..?! Mines a 2007 too so i guess it doesnt have it either. I guess we'll just have to get into the habbit of locking up. At least you dont need to unlock to get out..
  9. Does anyone know if the v36 has an auto door lock feature that many imports have? Im talking about when you drive above 20km/h or so and it automaticaly locks the doors. Reason i ask is theres been heaps of car jackings in perth lately. I tend to forget to lock the doors sometimes.
  10. this^ dont butcher your nice new cars wiring. Its already got an alarm. Nobody will try and steal it unless you leave the keys laying around..
  11. no worries I thought you had coil overs! My prokit is installed now. I dont plan on going on the track at all so and im pretty happy with them. You can definately feel that its a heavy car but considering its weight, it gets around pretty well on stock shocks i thought. Id love to try a 370z for a week to see how they compare..
  12. I dont know how you guys with stock height scrape. Mine is lowered 1.2 inches at the front and one inch at the back and i very rarely scrape. Sometimes if i have a momentary lapse of concentration and hang the nose too far over a high kerb, on the way back out the plastic flap scrapes. It sounds a lot worse then it actually is though. I was thinking it would be cool to put a camera under there somehow so you can see exactly how close you get.
  13. I was a sceptic. But i figured ill give it a go. Whats $50 on a 40k car if it improves something thats really bugging you?? Its not like you remortgaged your house for it.. I never said it was a massive difference, but it does feel a little different. If it is placebo then so be it.. Its done.
  14. I ended up getting JB to reorder the correct HD tuner for me. I was hoping it would be a direct replacement wiring wise. Of course it wasnt. The plugs and wiring were different. Also the they changed I/R sensor plug meaning i had to pull apart the whole interior again to install it .. Anyway the interface is a little different looking but still good. The reception and AV quality is awesome. The physical size of the unit is a little bit larger, i had to change the bracket location. The new one has HDMI output. One little complaint is that the old tuner used to power up as soon as you start the car, this one doesnt. As well as that, it takes a bit to get it going, you need to press the power button on the remote a few times before it comes on and stays on. I called Zylux and apparently thats just how this new model is.. I really want to get to the bottom of this so sort of still a work in progress. I did notice when i swapped over from the old model that they used a thinner gauge of wires for the power and grounds on the new one.. I wonder if that might have something to do with it...? Anyway heres a few pics installed.
  15. Well it's in.. I'm happy to report it was not in vain. I've only drivin it twice since the install but the difference is already evident. The biggest difference is in sport mode but it's noticeably better in auto too. Also I chirped into second gear today. It's never done that before!
  16. what he ^ said. Also clear front indicators and lower
  17. This is pointless and bordering on unsafe. I saw a tool trying to be champion indicating out of a small roundabout the other day. Because the roundabout is so small it looks as though he is turning left. One day someone will pull out in front of him.. maybe then he'll stop doing it? Not even cops indicate out of roundabouts. If you want to talk about effecieny, the bigger issue is the idiots that indicate right even though their going straight and bring the whole roundabout to a stop.
  18. The Adm ones will be priced around 80 to 100k. So I'm hoping the price of the imports might rise a little. Why pay 100 if you can get a perfect example with low km for 50 or 60? Hopefully having the local ones around will make it easier to get the navi going too.
  19. Where did u end up taking it? Mines due for the first service since compliance. I'm thinking of taking it to one of the Nissan dealerships. I want them to follow the 370z schedule and stamp the book purely for resale browny points. Does anyone know if the transmission fluid gets changed at compliance?
  20. Yeah i know. That's the plan.
  21. Ok. That makes sense. If you solder and then crimp, the solder will just crack off.
  22. Also, do u think it's necessary to solder the connectors to the cable or is clamping enough?
  23. Ok finally got all the gear i need to make to make my own kit. Can anyone recommend which parts it would be beneficial to add better grounding points? I know the throttle bodies could use it.. what else? Im trying to achieve faster smoother gear changes and less lag.
