The terminals look brand new I just reseated the terminals. Haven't had a chance to test out the theories as it has yet to not start. Its warming up too. Maybe I should see if it starts after a wash. The car has alarm, and If it continues I'll take the plastics off the steering column.

Well gave everything a check and cleaned with contact cleaner. Nothing looked out of place and the fuses look brand new.

I did tap around the dash, ignition, door etc. But none of that worked. Possibly just because it needs a very hard jolt. The battery is fairly new too.

So suddenly I have a very very irritating issue with my r33. There isn't really an electrics section of the forum, but this may be audio related. The issue rose its head on a quick shopping trip of all things. Turned the key to on, then upon turning to ignition the entire electrical system dies. No power to anything. At the time I managed to get it back, but I had no idea how and I put it down to a gremlin. But the problem persists. Its an inconsistent problem, but I have begun to notice patterns. Variables that have changed : I moved from Brisbane to Canberra. In Brisbane my car was always garaged. Down here it is not. After a storm or sometimes on a frosty morning the problem appears. Also, after going to a car wash on a nice warm Sydney afternoon, the problem arose. Water a catalyst? Just before coming to canberra I installed some new 6.5 option audio speakers in the doors. I used the factory wiring. The temporary fix : Slamming a door. Yeah ... Slam a door, and the dash lights flick on then off, and try again. Eventually it will kick over without cutting out. As long as it is running its fine. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I can do. I would like to give it a try fixing it myself before going to an auto electrician. Something I wanted to try was to make sure the factory speaker wiring was ok by soldering it to the speakers properley and then heatshrinking. I took a door trim off today just to look at it but nothing seems out of place. Failing that, anyone know a good auto-electrician in Canberra, or even one in Sydney who is open weekends. I don't have all my tools down here which makes things harder too.

Can't hurt. Honestly though, I really should get around to your workshop with some moneys and get a newer system fitted.

Saw something like this tonight at about 7:45 headed north on Gympie road. It pulled into the Shell/Maccas on the corner of Newmarket. Was same colour. Dark bonnet. Didn't see wheels or skirts. Plates were different. Had 030 in them. Tint seemed darker also. If it was the same car it looks different now.

Just putting this out there, would anyone be interested in a wow/sc2 battle.net account?

My first car. No not the Ferrari.

Enoggera Rd maccas. @ chicks in a grey S1 33, nearly run me over then meow at me. I caught up with them just outside Maccas and copped some more. Interesting encounter.

Good suggestions. I'll have a look into that.

This has been bugging me for a little while. I used to have some belt chirp, and someone recommended I get new belts. Not a bad idea right after I bought the car. So anyway. I got new belts and shortly after I start getting this noise when the engine shuts down. Coincidence? It sounds external, but not a belt. And somewhere on the front left. Could it be alternator? My only worry is its an idler bearing. I have a quick video taken on a shitty phone. Just listen at the end. Any help appreciated.

R34 Gt Very Hard To Put Into Gear
Gen18 replied to JoshN's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I believe mine is the same. 2nd gear synchro isn't great. 3rd has a notch. Both get better when warm. 1st is the worst though. I can't shift form 2nd down to 1st. I woul dhave to really push hard, and then probably grind it to get it in. So I just don't ... -
Took a short detour to look at this thing. Its so bad it looks derelect.

Just until he appreciates it a little more I would never touch another mans car in reality. I love mine too much. Where-abouts in Alderley btw.

Should go relieve the owner of it.

I didn't know there was a small wow community here. Sadly I froze my account right after i accomplished my goal of a wyrm mount. Not much urge to come back for Cata, no matter how awesome Deathwing is. My combined playtime across 2 accounts could probably be measured as years. Is anybody interested in an account?

Where in Alderley is that? I think you mentioned it once. Been seeing a black on black 33 at about 7:40 some mornings as I walk to the train. Looks good from afar. Sounds .... Loud.

I go over Mt Mee mostly. Hey now I think about it wasn't there a copper lasering people in Blackbutt?

Nothing to worry about anyway. With the road conditions The whole convoy had to do about 60 the whole way. Some of those potholes were monstrous.

HOWTO: RB25DET High Boost mode with standard solenoid
Gen18 replied to paulr33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
Been running this for a while with a switch wired in. I've decided to switch back for a while though because my Turbo bearings are starting to whine so the turbo is going to die soonish. Make of that what you will. -
I noticed that too. Screw the Subi though
