I'll one up that. On new years on a country road I nearly drove right up the back of a toyota landcruiser merrily making his way down the highway with a 100km/h speed limit with no brake lights, tail lights and only 1 headlight. I never saw him indicate the whole time, and his speed varied from 50 to 80 km/h.

Nar I got it off Ebay. Might have been the same guy though. Who knows. They aren't a high HP upgrade, thats for sure. But if you just put around the streets it hardly matters.

I bought this one the other day for $50. Fins are a bit shagged though. Wondering about putting it on now or trying to find a better one.

Does It Feel Like Your R33 Is Outdated?
Gen18 replied to crazyr33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The R33 is an old car. In stock trim especially its not going to look current. And yours is NA. Its also S1 which I don't think looks quite as good though I have seen some nice ones. There is a sunny side however. An older car that is well presented and looked after has class. A uniqueness. If you just don't like your 33 anymore, thats ok too. Sell it when you get on your opens and buy a new car (which you probably should do anyway). Just don't do it because your mates drive something different. Have a go in their cars before you ditch the whale. There is absolutely nothing special about a commodore (at least from my experience driving the work one). -
R33 Gtr Wheels On Gts-t
Gen18 replied to Astro Bear's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks for the help Touge. I agree with you Boiracer to an extent. But no stock wheels look that great. They just look 'clean'. If you like stupid camber and massive dish thats probably not for you Personally I don't. My preference is to concave. -
R33 Gtr Wheels On Gts-t
Gen18 replied to Astro Bear's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Why would they need spacers on some but not others? Thats wierd. Anyway, the thought was that since they are so cheap and they are a little bit better fitting than 33 stockies they may be a minor upgrade. Photos of the combo are a bit hard to find. -
R33 Gtr Wheels On Gts-t

How about this then. How do R34 GTT wheels fit under a 33? -
Managed to make it back to Kingas over Christmas, only to be confronted with the problem of not being able to get down the driveway. Parked at the neighbours shed, and then got flooded in so couldn't go anywhere for a few days. Got out and wanted to go for a spin only to find my car battery dead, the car covered in bird crap and grain and grain dust ... While its nice to have a liberated right foot, the roads after the rain are a shocker out there. I did see a white s2 at the BP in Kingaroy, a red 32 twice just outside Kingaroy, and followed a white 32 with a black boot lid a fair way down the D'agular highway home to brisbane. And then the cops behind me the rest of the way.

I thought this was going to be easier than it has turned out. I just can't get my fingers (or pliers) down to grab the wire I stuck through from the cabin. Attached image shows where I'm looking. I just can't get it. Is there a way to find it from in the wheel well and poke it up? I had envisaged it just being a grommet on a clear spot of the firewall but noooo.

Most of you guys probably aren't nerdy enough to know or remember when a certain popular, but small and dodgy computer store named Gamedude wanted to refresh its outlook a little and asked for opinions on all major nerdy forums such as whirlpool and QGL. Well that turned into a shit fight to dwarf this example. The owner of the store basically called his entire customer base a bunch of pimply, nerdy little dweebs. Which they (we) mostly are probably! But coming from him it was pretty funny (Because he was a pimpy FAT nerd). But anyway. I learnt that day the importance of good and calm communication when representing your business. That employee should be fired. The boss should never have posted anything he did. They both should learn how to write. And now they have probably lost a lot of business now and in the future. Think about any Boost member who comes on and searches the forums for AJM and that thread is the result. I'm glad I went private if thats the quality of import yards around here. For some reason I don't trust a company with a car if they can't even form a sentence.

Have a friend of the family out there that has a white 34. I'm from around there, but live in Brisbane.

Yeah. That antenna thing is on both sides too. Might remove it someday soon, just not sure how its afixed. Would be nice even to use it with my GPS.
-
Ah. Oh well. Thanks for that bit of info guys. Appreciate it.

What the mileage on the export docs is in relation to. I actually showed the keyring to a girl who speaks japanese today but she couldn't read it.
-
Yeah I know its a lot. Its just a request. Mostly its for curiousity, but the 45,100k and 53,700k bit of the export docs has me particularly interested. At least I know now it was a dealer export. Thats a bit boring.
-
Howdy. I've been reading threads related to people finding wierd things in their imports and translations of some stuff. Curiosity has gotten the better of me and I was wondering if anyone could help translate some stuff that came with my R33. There are some stickers on the fuel filler flap. I know that one sticker on the windscreen is rego, but what is that wiring? The export docs. Particularly the owner name/location and the slab of text at the bottom. And the keyring! Any ideas appreciated.

You have more to worry about than rust. Incase you didn't notice.
-
I had major rust in my boot from leaky taillights. Fixed the lights (I think). Rust was a pain and there was more than I thought. Went right through in some areas. All fixed now. Sanded out, patched up and repainted. Still have some minor rust elsewhere. Hopefully no more that I don't know about. Some down where the A pillars meet the fenders and go under. A bit in each rear wheel well, right above the wheels. Probably from shit being thrown up and wearing the paint.

I have the same problem, so interested in any thoughts.

Just now spotted : White 32, looked good until the gold wheels. Not my thing. Coming out of Railway St onto South Pine Rd. Then, Black 34 with silver mesh sort of wheels coming INTO Railway St from Samford Rd. Also worth mentioning I've been seeing a stock looking White 33 S2 parked in Eagers along Newmarket Rd, And a White 32 (GTR?) in a side st near Mercury also along Newmarket.
-
Would you be the silver s2 33? I normally see : Silver r34 - only time I saw the driver it was a fem. White 33 s1 - Aftermarket exhaust, wheels etc Black 33 s1 - Same deal, Gold wheels And er. Others. I can't ever remember them all. Have seen a few times a Black 33 GTR with polished silver wheels and GTR82, Silver/white 33 GTR.

I see at least 3-4 a day just in the short span as I walk from Alderley train station (as my baby sits in its lair at home) along a short stretch of South Pine / Enoggera Rd. Shout out to those guys if you're on here.
