yeah its in kemps project 34 now, running low boost (30psi low) until he changes gearbox etc. he was going to build an elephant package so just bought it as the owner was selling for bigger better things. no doubt powertune could build another if youre serious. kemp doesnt work at powertune either., unless recently employed lol.

engines been sold its in another 34 gtr now. not sure if the owner is on sau. ive been told the owner of GTRB28 is now building a gigawatt engine at powertune.

Manifold Shortening For Bigger Turbo ?

sounds like its normal for an ebay t3/t4 turbo (whatever that is who really knows) to spool extremely late on a 20. you cannot shorten the maniifold someones just talking crap to you. better off selling it and putting on an rb25 standard turbo. car will be like new car to drive, will be so much quicker and more enjoyable. -
never had one catch pipe, i dont usually do much alloy pipe work though. I always thought it was a bad idea to cut alloy pipe with a drop saw, the alloy clogs the disc. Dont know how much truth to it and i havent really done much research of my own but was told this can cause the disc to explode in extreme cases. opps read you use an alloy cutting disc, never mind if you have one of those

tbh.. my cut off saw cuts very straight, 3mm blade (maybe just lucky), only clean up i do is a quick linish and its ready for a perfect fuse with the tig. i posted a few pics in the lobster thread, all that is with the cheap saw.

its like 10 bucks for a metal cut off wheel my crappy maktec drop saw was $100, probably from bunnings cant remember. but yeah, they pretty much do whatever you need for hobby fabrication.

$100 cut off droppy is all the average guy needs for backyard fab, you can do alot with them and awesome value. they are only a minor pain when cleaning up 50 lobster back cuts, but you can get pretty quick at it with time. Ill spend up big on a bandsaw when i run out of other cool tools to buy..

Thanks. There was a reason i did it like that an I can't remember why haha, possibly due tithe size of the housing and manifold position it may have hit ac lines and compressor or pwr steering lines not sure it was a while ago. It was just easier to do that, plenty of big turbos are positioned the same. And since I was doing it in lobster back why not show off the stainless work.
