  1. Yeah, my car is 1987 and I describe it exactly the same way as you. As in it feels like the handbrake is on a bit and then it all of a sudden it breaks free. Like you it only ever happens when the car is cold in which case I am putting around like miss daisy anyway so I have never been too fussed about it as I beleive a lot of guys on here have the same phenomonem.
  2. Was BMT registered as a " pty ltd " ? Or was somebody " trading as " BMT? If they were not a company you can go after the individual. If they were a company by the time the banks and any other debtors get paid there will be nothing left for you or any other disgruntled customers.
  3. What size are the 4 x 114.3 rims? 14, 15, 17inch? In the R31 offset not S13 please.
  4. Hi guys, Just wondering if someone could post up for me a rough table of the expected ET against MPH. e.g 85mph is capable of xx.xx secs ET 90mph is capable of xx.xxsecs ET Thanks. Jayson
  5. "Wont damage the car man just the DAM engine ... just imagine your seeing your girlfreind ***ing another bloke infront of you , thats how bad the engine is hurting when your leaning it out ....." Um yeah......... You could put it that way I suppose. LOL
  6. I am sure I will be corrected if I am wrong but isn't rev210's explanation of the difference between responce and lag backwards? I used to think " lag " was when lets say your turbo produces useable boost at say 4500rpm, I would say that turbo has heaps of " lag ". ( indeed it might have ) But I was corrected more than once buy different knowledgeable people that in fact " lag " is in fact the turbos responce time not the turbos operating rpm. For example, your turbo can make useable boost pressure at 3,000rpm, so lets say your driving at 4,000rpm and decide to mash the throttle, " lag " is the time taken for the turbo to spool up and start making good boost. rev210 said this is not " lag " but in fact " responce " From what I have learned they are both the same thing. 7. Something close to home hey. Yeah I would be interested in something like that. Couple of S2000s around there that sound shit hot.
  8. Work for a transport company. Used in the truck engines, gearboxes and fuel systems.
  9. Decreased lag you say hhmmmmmm....... Got about 50-70 litres of this stuff lying around at work. Even the fuel , and gearbox ones. Might have to give it a test.
  10. Even my own car, HR31 had a few variations. RB20ET - RB20DET - RB20DET-R Might have even been a RB20DE.
  11. If your referring to 3 types of engine options then the Toyota soarer has a n/a six, a turbo six and a V8.
  12. Find out if you can still get R31 skyline GTS-R OEM turbos. They are an internally gated TO4E and would work a charm on a 2.5 litre motor.
  13. " The environment would include bars, cafes and restaurants " You cant even light a smoke in these places anymore let alone have the exhaust fumes from two cars at full throttle poisonong the place. And you reckon a night club is loud, how do you reckon two modified rotors at full noise would be like. I think its just bullshit to be honest. The outlay for something like this would be astronomical. Not to mention what the public liability cover would be every year. And if they were actually serious about doing this and they had a brain they would do a potential market reasearch which would involve looking at places like this where they would find out we are not very interested.
  14. I would reccomend the trading post as above as we just bought one for work new and they are not cheap.
  15. Congrats on getting the ride back! I gotta arrange to come over and get that head ( for a motor you sick f@cks ) this week. Any chance you taking me for a spin?????
  16. The only car I had that I ever changed rim diameter was my Aus spec R31. Went from 14 to 15 inch. I didnt think it would make that much difference but hell was I wrong. The ride is a lot more harsh and would assume your suspension cops more of a beating as there is less tyre profile to absorb some of the shock.
  17. When you say trust " style " what brand actually is it?
  18. Wouldnt think it would run injectors full stop as he said its a air/fuel computer. i.e cant control or adjust ignition. Basically a variant of a SAFC.
  19. Sorry guys but as someone posted above " I cant even make a layer " I am in the same boat. I have p/shop ver. 7 and have no clue. I clicked on new layer and nothing happens. Dont like to be a prick but can someone post a how to with a tiny bit more detail. As if you had to explain it to a moron who had never even seen photoshop before and struggled to come to grips with paintbrush. LOL Just like me.
  20. from what i have read on RB30s the na bottom end doesnt have them but the turbo bottom end does.
  21. Dont ask me why but I hate people starting a thread asking " How much power do you think I will get? " Even more so when mods are limited to an exhaust, pod and a tad more boost etc. Its like, do they actually read anything on this forum? Just go get on a dyno and get your power figure so you can come back and post " How come I only got xxxkw @ the wheels " These threads nearly always end up off topic anyway. This thread however, I like a lot. It should me made sticky as the official SAU group therapy thread where people can come and post about their hates and annoyances
  22. How much boost to make the 330hp? What rpm does it start to generate boost? What rpm is full boost made at?
  23. I thought rev limit could not be modified by a chip? only speed and fuel cut?
  24. Hi guys I work for a small transport company with a fleet of 10 trucks and 5 utes/vans. My boss has been using ROIL products for about two years and swears by them. I am plannng to use some next oil change and will post any noticeable results. The fleet is pretty new ( oldest truck is 98 model ) and they were chucked in there from pretty much the start in motor ,box , diff so its hard to say if they would make any difference. In saying that though 2 trucks are over 200,000km and I swear not one truck has had a mechanical related breakdown except for clutches and one set of injectors due to " envirodiesel " aka poison. But the entire fleet are ISUZU and they have a proven track record for extreme reliability. Also to bias things a bit my boss does not pay cash for these products. Anyone in business here would be familiar with " trade exchanges " such as Bartercard , E-banc etc. My boss purchases these products through the Tradebart system. If they became unavailable on trade would he spend hard earned cash on them? Who knows?
  25. None taken, but it happened at 11.00pm last night and I am still at work today. Of course I am going to get it checked by a pro I just wanted to know if people could diagnose from my symptoms or had the exact same thing happen to them as well. Or point me in the right direction. I wanted to have an idea on what could cause this problem so I didnt walk into a mechanic with a blindfold on. Isnt that the whole friggin reason this forum is here? So owners of like cars can help eachother out? Dont tell me you have never asked a question on this forum that you couldn't of asked a mechanic instead. no offence.
