i say take it back to the mechanics that did the cooler piping and ask them to fix the problem. As you mentioned that it gets worse due to engine rev rather than speed so the tailshaft is out of the question. it could be anything before the box, best way to find out is to open it. Was the piping done at a reputable workshop? or just a small shop with apprentice working on the car without knowing what they are doing.

What Coilovers For My R34
Bayside Blue R34 GTV replied to Hybrid905's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
just put a set of greddy type s in during the weekend. got them for 1800 brand new. the car feels alot sharper than before, got them on hardest setting all around and they are very stiff but not harsh. very nice and enjoyable, seems to soak up everybit of bump very nicely and at the same time stiff enough to make the drver and espcially the rear passengers bounce up and down heaps. i put them in as it is out of the box without any heigh adjustmentl and they are really low, especially the rear, makes it look like a commodore dump on its ass if you know what i mean. hope that helps. -

Maybe you can try and put a transmission from a gtt and sell your current transmission. do you own the silver late 2000 or 2001 model r34? as i went to RE customs the other day to discuss about the na+t conversion and they told me about how a pain in the ass that silve NA+t r34 was (fixing someone elses f**k up).

Got my quote today from AVO which was OMFG. guess i'll have to do some bits myself to keep the cost down. just wondering will i be able to put a set of GTT injectors in without changing ecu, is it just a plug and play job? and same goes to the fuel pump,? Also do i have to change the afm to a gtt one or are they the same. as no one mentioned anything about the afm so i assume they dont need to be changed? -

How they go without the VCT? thought the r34 GTT pfc has the vct control build in it, guess i was wrong then. Also how did you go with the oil line for the turbo? -

Thanks for the reply guys, very helful. Looking for around 200kw ATW (prefer 7psi, but nothing less than 10psi) Want to make it a sleeper Parts im looking to put onto the car Apexi PFC GTT turbo with factory heatshield GTT manifold with factory heatshield GTT injectors GTT Fuel pump or better Black FMIC (return pipe style) just wondering how noticeble are they on a R34 with Factory Nismo Bumper CES 3inch Turbo Back Racing Exhaust (due to the stock looking rear muffler) GTT airbox with good panel filter (as the pod filter really magnifies the turbo spooling noise, not sure how they sound with a heatshield tho) Been told maybe need to go colder plugs, what heatrange do you guys reckon. Also been told that its better to go bigger turbo to prevent dotonation as smaller turbo tends cause detonation. ???????????????????? (thought pinging is caused by the amount of boost you put in ) Shops in Melbourne anyone recommends? Thanks Johnson -
