  1. This is exactly what i want for my R33 , a air vent which sits directly above the turbo. It gets so hot under this section of the bonnet , especially with a high mount turbo ! What size did u get for the R34 , 3 or 4 inch ? Also did u get fiberglass or carbon fiber ? Thanks for adding the link will contact the guy which makes them tomorrow
  2. So would be better off buying the vented carbon bonnet , a lot less hassle !!!
  3. Sorry should of put more light on the story . At the moment i have the standard R33 bonnet , which i was looking to put the R35 vents into for more air circulation into the engine bay or something similar. Or my other option is to buy a vented carbon fibre bonnet & fit to the R33 . It is for mainly street use !!
  4. Looking at either getting a carbon fibre bonnet fitted to my R33 or looking into some sort of venting situation for my bonnet . Was looking at the R35 carbon vents they have on Just Jap , would it be possible to fit these to my R33 & still work effectively like they do on the R35 GTR ?
  5. Hey mate . Would u sell both the Driver & passenger side front , lower & upper plastic inner guard liners ? Need them for my R33 Gts-t as it was in a accident & can't get new ones in Australia at the moment. Only from Japan & that could take months due to what is happening over there. Also if so , how much would u want for them ? Cheers Josh
  6. Looking at buying a Carbon Fiber bonnet for my R33 GTS - T Series 1 model & live in the Northern River Region . Any company's out there or people which know of company's which sell this product around the Goldcoast or Brisbane area. Would drive to pick up item . Cheers Josh
  7. Do u guys have any Carbon bonnets for the Series 1 R33 GTS-T ? Looked on ur website & only seems u have them for the series 2 models . Would buy one off u guys if u have them for the Series1 . Cheers Josh
  8. So in other words i have nothing to worry about. Thanks for ur imput guys
  9. I have been looking at getting after market gauges , which give a more accurate reading. Eg Oil , Temp & knock level. Can't u get a plug in device which reads all of these that plugs into the ecu ? What setup have u got in ur 33 ? My gauge might be playing up cause the oil level is always reading into the higher area , never sits near the halfway mark at idle !
  10. No never overfill it , always put 4.3 litres of oil which takes it just near the full mark. Since owning the car the oil gauge has always been near the 8kg/cm mark in pressure & at normal operating temp would never sit around the 4ish level. Mine always sits around the 6 or above .
  11. Would like to know where the oil level should sit on the factory R33 oil gauge , for a healthy running Rb25et ? Just notice after a oil service the gauge reads up near the top which is where the 8 kg/cm mark is , but after a little use the gauge will drop down to the next mark level which is in between the 8kg/cm & the 4kg/cm . So like the 3/4 mark so to speak ! When i check the oil dipstick the oil is still on the full mark , so the engine hasn't used any oil , but the oil pressure has dropped a little. Is this ok or is it just the oil getting a bit thinner once it has been used a little ? I use Royal Purple 10w-40w. The level will never drop below that 3/4 mark so to speak. Any advice would be much appreciated
  12. O.k thanks guys , just wanted to make sure ! Better to be safe then sorry Car is making the 290rwkw mark at the moment , the guy who sold me the cat recommend i get a tune after it is fitted. Thats why i'm double checking The last tune was done 3 months ago & car is running great , anything i think the car would be running on the rich side.
  13. So once the new Hi flow cat is fitted & there is better flow , will that be enough to upset any current tune settings on the ecu ? Will the car have to go back to my tuner for any slight adjustments ?
  14. But if i'm going from 400 CPSI cat to a 100 CPSI cat flow sould be alot better ! If not what would be the point in changing cats then ?
  15. Just bought a Venom 500 series hi flow cat with a 100 CPSI flow for 3 inch exhaust system. I am running a Microtech Lt x12s ecu , will i need a retune once i fit the new catalytic converter ? At the moment it has a ceramic cat fitted to the exhaust system , which has had a few bumps & bruises !!! So i thought i would replace it with a stainless steal one , which will last longer & have better flow. Will the extra flow cause the fuel / air ratios to change ?
  16. Very hard decision for that one , both really nice cars ! I would think what u really want from the car , then test drive both & make the decision ! Eg GTR is going to handle alot better , have better traction & carry more people . The Maloo stock will have heaps more power , carry bigger objects in the tray & can handle a little towing if need be . I think at the end of the day also is what are u going to do with the car , leave it stock with maybe the mild mod or go all out crazy & mod the hell out of it. If leaving it stock i would choose the Maloo , but if mods are in i would choose the GTR Both are Great performance cars , but so completely different cars
  17. Looks like the 500 series then
  18. So i'm looking at getting a Venom cat. What series would best be suited for my skyline , 450 or 500 series ? Has a full 3 inch exhaust system from turbo back & is making 290rwkw at the moment. I want the best flow possible , would the 500 series be to much of an overkill ?
  19. Where is the AAC situated on the RB25ET ? Every now & then i have a hunting problem , but didn't know how to fix it . Is it a easy job to pull off & clean it ?
  20. Wouldn't it be better to have the GTR Challenge more about track , then drag ? The GTR was designed to be a track car & we all know how well they did in the early ninety's with Gibson motorsport . The overall challenge would be alot harder for both car & driver. Would really show what the GTR is all about , just look at the R35 & how good it is straight from the factory ! Just a bit of food for thought .
  21. Changing them around once a year , which would be less then every 5000's km . Due to only being a weekend car . The 6's just had a light coating of black on them & all 6 were pretty even in colour . So i'll stick with what i already have , as i'm having no dramas .
  22. Just bout to change my spark plugs on my R33 with 280rwkw , what heat range would you recommend ? They currently have NGK iriddum ( BPR6EIX ) in them which have 0.8 mm gap. Should i stick with them , as i haven't had any problems with them ? Local auto shop recommended going to ( BKR5EIX ) which i know is a hotter running plug . Will i have any problems with this plug ? I have just learnt the more power you have & boost running the colder the plug should be ! Any advice would be great
  23. Usually when i do go driving it requires a full tank , to get me where i want to go , then back. The same fuel would never sit in the tank more then 3 months , as i do try to drive it as much as possible , but lately up my way the weather has been really crap Never used octane booster before , guess i'll keep it in mind just incase but will never rely on it. I'm aware of engine oil , i have rule of thumb that i change it every 3 months regardless of km's , aswell as oil & fuel filters. So sometimes the oil might rack up 1000 to 1500 km's then get changed. So oil is always fresh in the engine I think sometimes i spend more time keeping things maintained on the car , then i do driving the car !
  24. Thanks guys for the reply's , just wanted to find out for peace of mind . Rather be safe then sorry
