  1. I'm having the same issue with finding out what balance is should be using. It's a 25/30 my intuition would be to use a 30 balancer. However, the question in my mind is that will the belts match up with R34GTT belts?
  2. I can help with Map sensor and air temp sensor.
  3. Used a 90 degree bent spanner. Worked well. Thanks fellas
  4. Thanks will try bending a spanner and see if that works
  5. There is no space thinking about removing intake manifold to get to it. This is a serious question!!
  6. Guys how did you remove the pressure sensor. Ive tried different methods to no luck.
  7. Im going to be doing this again. I remember that last time i used the wrong puller. Can anyone point me out to thr right puller as Duncans image has been broken?
  8. Ask around your neighborhood get as much info as you can
  9. I'll keep an eye out for you man. Sometimes it's good to post on Tyson's as well but the scum might see it. It could help but it could also screw you. All the best mate.
  10. I have a 25/30 setup should I stick with the 30 pump. Do they flow sufficiently for the setup.
  11. Sorry to revive old thread. What are the differences in flow between these. I have a 25/30 and it's leaking from the top of the water pump. Ive heard about RB30 pumps not flowing enough for 25/30. If I was to tap a hole for the extra bolt. Do I go into an oil or water jacket? Is it possible to do this without going to a jacket?
  12. Couldn't edit ....Read the posts above. Disregard my last comment
  13. Boil water and pour it on there then twist it with like a pliers or something
  14. Sounds like it might be one of your idler pulleys. Did you use the blue gates timing belt as well? I adjusted the tension on the idlers and it went away slightly.
  15. So I purchased a silver R34GTT with an RB25/30 and relatively low ks than what I had before so I was questionable about the legitimacy.Did a Revs check and it seemed like the mileage hasn't been changed. The body is in mint condition no rust under the chassis or jacking marks on incorrect locations. I've had the car parked for nearly a month now mainly due to issues that started a few weeks after purchasing it. Probably the reason why I always prefer building the car from scratch some people shouldn't be allowed to touch these cars. The engine has less than 5000kms according to the previous owner. I realized that the there was no external line feeding the VCT. So I had to get in contact with the builder to verify if he had done the internal method of drilling through the brass plug.Turns out there was nothing done about that. Some people claim that a few "9 second VL's" run without the internal oil feed. I've opted to get this sorted asap otherwise the intake cam will just chew itself out. First of all I have this oil leak on the side of the block, seems to be originating from the cam seals. Seems like the previous owner gave this car a good wash before I went to inspect it. So I never spotted the leak. The power steering pump has a leak too which ill have to get fixed. Then upon pressure testing the water system I found a water leak just above the water pump seems to be a common problem with 25/30 conversions. Unfortunately, I did not see any of these before, would have adjusted the price for this. In general shouldn't be too difficult ironing out these problems and a few other things around the car.
  16. What size braided hose did you use for the external Vct feed?
  17. What water pump did you use. I've read around that the RB25 has an extra bolt which you may have to tap the block for. If it's not done right it could leak from the top of your water pump. Have you thought about how you will run Internal/external feed for the VCT and front cam journal? I'm pretty sure it's a little different on the Neo Head.
  18. Did you change your timing belt when I changed mine the idler made it whine like that.
  19. I bought a 25/30 and i dont think this has been done to the engine. It hasnt been driven for too long so hopefully the damage isnt too much. Im going to be swapping the heads soon anyway. So is this as simple as removing the plug and drilling it from the back then across halfway? The pink and the green holes. Did you have to drill any of those out? Im asking as Im avoiding the scenario where I have to remove the cams. Can this be done without removing the cams? When I fit the brass plug back in does the perpendicular hole have to line up with the pink hole?
  20. Can you take pictures of the fittment particularly at the rears. Do you get scrubbing on front or back? I have a R34GTT and wondering if I could fit these with 265/275 at rears
  21. you're right i thought it was the full set
  22. Just ran into a cheap pair of project Mu d1 spec brakes. Anyone used these and how are they like in terms of dust noise and most importantly brake performance.
  23. How have people gone about with using the clutch fan? I bought the car with two thermo fans and no shroud. Willing to go back to the stock clutch thermo fan. The radiator is a 100mm Alloy radiator.
  24. I'm hoping its something minor like that. It would suck regardless having to replace cam seals. Ill start by replacing the blank off to see if that solves the issue.
  25. So good news back in the game. I had some unfinished business with my old 34. Hearing an RB would tear me apart thinking about all the things I had planned for mine. Anyway the one I got pretty much almost takes off from the stage I left my old one at.
