  1. Think they have been superceded by the RE-11? Pretty sure the bank can do the conversion for you. E.g. you tell them you want to transfer $1000USD , they charge you this + extra for the difference.
  2. Thinking that my newly installed exhaust is sitting lower than it should... Does anyone have a pic of their exhaust (in particular the section between cat and rear axle) with a mid muffler/resonator? Would like to compare!

  4. The placebo effect can be very strong when you have put a lot of time and effort into a mod though. Dyno is hard evidence, shame would have loved to have seen a before and after

  7. Had mine installed today, and its perfect. A great note but not droney or annoying. I have a query for anyone else who has one, does your seem to sit really low? I get the feeling the centre muffler is going to cop a real beating!
  8. Theres a bit of a difference between engines with multiple runners per port, which are designed to keep velocity up whilst still maintaining flow, and those with variable length runners. You will find that in a boosted application, variable intake runners are usually not bothered with, as the forced air stops the resonance and harmonics that you get in a N/A application. There is some pretty cool physics involved! With regards to the other discussion, you can make extra torque by gearing, but not extra power
  9. yeah no variable intake on them. My old VW bora v6 had one, and it made peak torque @ 3000rpm due to of it, was fantastic. Honda's VTEC is essentially aiming for the same thing, maximising torque over a large rev range for good low down and high end performance. Also Porsche Variable geometry turbo's are there to act like a small fast spinning turbo down low, then a big turbo up top. One of the main reasons the 997 TT is a lot faster than the 996 TT. I think this is the way forward with turbo cars.

  12. having owned peaky n/a 4 cylinders before, having any torque is great for me, so my goal is to get as much torque and as early as possible, this will also suit the type of motorsport I want to get involved with, where response and punch out of corners matters most.

  20. What turbo should I be looking at for circa 300rwhp on an RB20 with the usual mods (pod, 3" exhaust, FMIC, GTR injectors, Z32, nistune)? I would be wanting maximum response for street/circuit work, ideally similar to what I have now. Currently the car has a 4V51 turbo and does ~240hp at the hubs at 14.5psi. Would ideally like to cap boost at sub 20psi for engine longevity
