Coolant Leak From Pipe Under Intake - Whats It Called?
jpoc_noel replied to damono's topic in General Maintenance
that ill be the heater hose and the easyest way is to whip off the starter motor and it's above there, and it's bloody tight to do too, also you'll get coverd in coolant too because it's below the block -

it's pretty easy to be honest, lots of boxes marked up and take lots of pics too so you can go back to them when you need too while it was all out i did a wire tuck too and took the loom behind the dash then brought what i needed just below the plenum to keep the wires out of the heat -

ok not too much going on really but working on the plenum so here how i have done it you can see the water feed across the plenum? the holes needed to be drilled out by 2mm as the holes in the plenum didnt line up bang on but this didnt cause any problems at all, also fitted the AAC valve with a new gasket and bolted straight up reall nice so now the piping and i re-used all the pipe that i already had from the stock plenum any way and the clamps too, use this pipe and cut this amount of pipe off then the other end of the pipe you have this cut this much off ish but remember mesure twice cut once then i got some plumbers tape (PTFE) and wraped the outlet threads up like this and inserted it in to here, 19mm spanner was used but dont go mad thinking it will go all the way in it wont, but a goot 3/4 the way in and nice a tight then the pips that was cut earlier was installed like this you will also see that there is on pipe lift to fit on the ACC ? you will need to get some pipe to go from there to the inlet pipe from the cooler thet you will need to get made and will be added to the thread at at later date so on to the injectors pretty much as you took them off BUT replace any worn or old "O" rings and top tip use vasalene (??) or you will tear them and cause fuel leak's, i also needed to open the holes a little on the rail to ease them going in i managed to buy a Q45 from GARAGE D so i didnt need an adapter plate and loose power with the set up im going for stock one on the top lol ENGINE PIPE'S so down to the engine piping now heres how it looks stock and took all this off as im going for a spec 1 oil filter housing to reduce piping and the chance of air locks as im running a front mount oil cooler this is the pipe off the heater pipes that run across the back of the engine, i made a cut here to make it square 90 bend now and used the supplied joiner here then used some of the pipe that im using on the AAC to run from the old location of the water pipes and used good clamps and did them up real tight you can see there is 2 water pipes left to connect ill show you what im doing with those in the next update thanks for looking Noel@ jpoc.co.uk -

after a really good push on the car last night and the massive help from Joe and Mr.fail THANKS GUYS so here's the progress so far after the night before chasing the subframe around the floor for 4 hours and trying to get the bushes out i finnaly rememberd that we have a vice in the unit well 4 of them lol, i shoved it in and got cutting with the hacksaw then a good few smacks with the hammer and bar got them out a treat in less than 10min's (DOH) then came the pain staking job of getting the paint off it until i brought this wire thing for my grinder and the paint flew off so heres the pics now mr fail him self flatting back the car after masking all the trim and joe stripped the engine bay for me taking the slaves out and the wireing ready for flatting and painting and took the door off my old car ready to go on the new car as it seems to be better from this to this this is how how my old car looks now -
