  1. The car was made in 1996, but they keyless was factory fitted since it was a series 2. But i think ill just get it done by a pro, since i clearly dont know what im doing
  2. Hey guys, i was wondering if its possible to put a aftermarket intake manifold/plenum or a rb26 plenum on the rb25de non turbo, reason i want to do this is because i want to eliminate the cross over piping on the stock plenum, which goes over the motor and gets freakin hot, defeating the purpose of a CAI. If it is possible, will i need to do make any modifications to the ecu, air sensors, throttle body(can i use the stock throttle body) etc..? Cheers guys
  3. Hey guys i was wondering where abouts the Keyless entry receiver is located in the series 2 skyline? i decided to change the stock skyline Keyless receiver since my remote is fried, so I bought a new after market receiver but the wiring diagrams on the the cars ecu doesnt show where which wires connect to the actual stock keyless receiver? Im guessing the Keyless entry receiver doesn't connect to the ecu at all?? Im really lost at the moment, need some help. And is it possible to just teach the current stock receiver to learn a new key, if so how do i teach it?? cause i rather just do that then rip apart the skyline trying to find a reciever. Thanks guys
  4. Hey guys, was wondering how to program the r33 gts25 remote, my old remote is shit, it has the worst radius, i have to go right up next to the car just to lock or unlock it, most of the time the key doesn't even work, and i changed the battery 3 times. I was wondering if i got a new r33 skyline key, how would i be able to program it, my car didnt come with the instruction manual, and google has been useless, although i did try some methods, like the one for the nissan stagea but it didn't seem to work. Cheers guys.
  5. Hey guys, im just shopping around for some shocks and springs to lower my r33, cause the cars factory suspension settings are so freakin high, anyways my budget was around 500-600 for the shocks and springs without installation. Anyone know where i could get some, i dont mind if they're second hand, aslong as they are good and not worn out. I was planning on getting just springs but that would just damage my factory shocks so ruled that option out. Cheers guys
  6. Thanks mate, yea ill check out some panel beaters then, how much extra would it cost to fix damages?? my spoiler has a crack near the gtr side of the spoiler, not a big one, could probably just be filled with putty?
  7. i get 550kms per tank on my r33 rb25de, however i do fill up on 98 ron fuel everytime, any other fuel my car would probably give me 370kms.
  8. Hey guys, was just wondering how much it costs to spray a GTR spoiler, i bought this spoiler online and i did a shit job spraying it(which i highly regret),so was wondering how much it is to get it professionally done. Thanks guys =D
  9. Hey guys i recently acquired some carbon fibre vinyl wrap for my cars interior and looking for someone to install it for me, does anyone know any places around Melbourne that can do it for me?? I tried putting it on myself but it came out all crap since i don't have first hand experience with vinyl wraps. cheers guys

  11. Hey umm just after a good looking body kit for a r33 skyline series 2 gts25, something like a GTR body kit, or Veilside, or any other ones that may look good, personally i would like to see pics of body kits since i don't know the names of half the kits ive seen. where abouts are you located??do you colour match the kits as-well? cheers, Derrick
  12. Hey guys im looking for places that sells body kits for cheap around Melbourne, or if any of you guys are selling bodykit parts. cheers =)
  13. dont you have insurance?
  14. Not too sure buddy, probs best to go ask the exhaust place what they reckon is best for your type of car and current exhaust setup.
  15. @ lindz34, The factory r33 skyline does come with a butterfly valve which is in one of the mufflers hole. The one in the skyline isnt electronic, It is actually connected to the throttle by the silver wire, similar to the one connected to the throttle body, and as the driver pushes the throttle, the valve opens to let out more air. will upload a pic of my factory muffler
  16. Hey, thanks mitch, ill go buy that and give it a shot =) do you know where i could find this??
  17. hmmm you sure its a cat backk?? from my experiences catbacks arent as noisy, they have more of a nice tone, If it is a cat back then i dont think the stock muffler would bolt onto that. Take it to dande exhausts and tell them your problem, they will reduce the noise for you, do you live in melbourne??
  18. Hey guys A few months ago i drove in a massive storm and was going about 100km on the free-way. When i got home my hood was loaded with dried up water marks which was caused by the heat of the engine to evaporate the water leaving behind chemicals. I tried washing the hood, waxing, rubbing it with vinegar, yet none of these have ever worked. I haven't tried buffering yet cause i don't have a buffer at home. Does anyone know how to remove these water marks?? cheers!
  19. my r33 non turbo series 2 bet all my p plate friends except my mate who had a brand new ve commodore. But i had a shit exhuast and carrying a passenger in my car when i raced him. I also raced an evo, and although the evo is turbo i was actually beating it for the first initial 50 metres(probably cause mines auto and his evo was a manual and he was a shit shifter) then his turbo kicked in and owned me, but still its a good feeling to know that your car can keep up with a turbo, and is faster than most p plate cars out there. So i say go for a skyline, =) 3000gt isnt too bad either, since it has the same power as a supra, and is AWD so quicker off the line,
  20. btw in my opinion, just stick with the factory exhaust system, cause nissan engineered it for optimum performance, and the ecu is set to work with what the car currently runs on...e.g. the standard exhaust system. If you wanna change exhaust, then change to a cold air intake aswell, then do a ecu retune/remapp so it can run better. thats goona cost ya 2-3k if you want more performance, as for power gains your looking at 25-30kw. Which is actually a fair bit and i reckon you would be able to beat a ve commodore with that much power added on ;p
  21. Heyy i had the exact same problem with my muffler, i put a silencer on it but it didnt make much difference, so i went back to my stock muffler. You could try putting a silencer on yours but my advice is to change back to a stock muffler since you are losing power by using your current muffler. Your car is a non turbo (like mine) so the engine relies on the exhaust system to create back pressure, unlike turbo models which create backpressure from the turbo. By putting the muffler on you have robbed torque from your car. Im guessing you just chucked on a straight 3 inch mufffler or straight pipe on your standard exhaust system. Thats the same mistake i did, and i got a very loud exhaust which made it unbearable to drive. If you notice on the factory muffler, there is a butterfly valve thing, which actually connect to the throttle and is kept closed to give it more back pressure, this helps the initial torque to push the car in a higher rpm, the valve then opens to give the car more power as it climbs higher in the rpm to increase peak power. But by putting a different muffler the back pressure dissapears, causing the car to use more fuel and reduce initial accleration. The only place i can think of that sells factory mufflers is Dandy exhausts, thats were i got mine done, and it doesnt cost much. Mine costed 80 dollars to do. if you want power and a nice exhaust sound, you need to spend 1100 dollars on a proper exhaust system.
