  1. "The biggest piss off for the djetro for me was lack of atmospheric correction capability, which meant if I went up the nearby range the car would run like crap." This breaks my brain a little. What am I missing? I thought that 15psi of post turbo mountain air would have the same o2 as 15psi of sea level air? Surely the map sensor is doing the atmospheric compensation you require? To create the 15psi of mountain air the turbo goes into a different efficiency zone as it is working harder now, you may visit areas of the map in the ecu you have not visited frequently and the waste gate spring will open a little earlier due to less pressure on the atmospheric side of it. What am I missing? It doesn't physics well with me.
  2. Such a legend this guy. I have found the same sensor characteristics as the delphi but in a smaller frame sensor.... https://www.efihardware.com/products/1623/air-temperature-sensor-motorsport-series-18-bsp buy some Nissan connectors, crimp in same resistor as said legend suggested, lathe an adaptor and voila - factory fit!!!
  3. Thought I would share a fix with you guys. It looks factory and easy to install once the sub loom is made. Had a small miss which was fixed by gapping to 0.6 but car lost a lot of mid range throttle response. A new coil pack loom and coil packs fixed it mostly (now back to 0.8) but there is still a small miss sometimes under accel when booting it up hills (I am not keen of taking any more accel fuel out). I sourced some connectors for the coil pack connectors and bought a second hand gtr fuse box/wiring loom to rape some parts out. Made this sub loom to plug between the engine loom and the coil pack loom to supply fresh battery volts and a fresh earth. Done in 2.5mm cable. Install in spare space in fuse box. Install between engine loom and coil pack sub loom. No more misfire!! Also chopped this bit out of the other fuse box and clipped it onto the existing fuse box to create some more fuses. Run one to the fuel pump for a remote relay and got some spares for later.
  4. Or... if you are old school enough I could hook you up with a set of these.... 17 x 9.5 et19.
  5. Very nice. Silver car.... hnnnggg!
  6. Roger. Asahi. Text me number/address 0417167885 Any particular time?
  7. Damn - too late - too many beers to drive. Will grab it off you tommorrow. You are thomastown right? What beer?
  8. Anyone got a dead R32/33 ignitor laying around? Happy to pick up and swap for a box of beer. I want to pull it apart to see if I can reclaim the plugs for extending the loom to an aftermarket ignition.
  9. Do you have any better pics? What suburb?
  10. What price in this moristech box? Can you get the standard gtr ignitor plugs so I can make a patch looms for it?
  11. They don't get along. They will not even face each other.

That was me..... your car looks soooooo nice. Did you end up racing the ute?
  13. I know my first check would be...... does the car start on "Aerostart"? Pull the fuel pump fuse and check again.
  14. Who is Trent? Have I dissed someone without knowing? Well we cannot say cam timing anymore.... So trying to think outside the box And don't believe me I shut my car down under load on the road whilst tuning and the steering lock engaged..... Fun times!
  15. Back the load off the dyno at the same time as shutting off car.
  16. May be a problem on a hub type dyno because of low inertia but not on a roller type
  17. If you leave in gear.
  18. You guys do realize that most cars cut fuel on decel anyway? And the oil pump will keep pumping as the car coasts down on the dyno?
  19. AFR sensor past it's due date? IIRC, they cannot read accurate rich when on the way out? I have a Motec PLM and almost new NTK sensor you can borrow if you need?
  20. Is the tuner old school enough to look at the plugs after a run to check for signs of det and heat range/electrode temperature to confirm det cans? The car must be shut down under the load conditions which is pretty freaky!
  21. Only my 2c... (not an expert purely a tinkerer) You are judging whether the car can take timing by a sound through a set of det cans? The car is pinging at peak torque? Take 4 degrees out at this section and see what happens to torque? Does the ping go away? The feed it back in and check whether the torque rises and then falls again and the ping comes back? Add more timing back in after peak torque? I have heard a lot of what I thought was det but ended up not being det just other engine noises. Maybe run the dyno run in a different gear to see if the ping goes away?
  22. Getting lazy in my old age and the belief for "do it once, do it right" is strong. Scared changing plugs on the old girl I am going to either destroy the coil packs or the coil pack loom as I am pretty ham fisted these days. Does anyone make a kit to do this? A stealth installation would be good!
  23. I have these for sale if interested. 17 x 9,5 et19 - rears have 2.5 in lips... fronts have 1.5 in lips. They are almost brand new. PM me if interested for more details,
