  1. Hi Scott, Just checking to see if you still happen to have a Driver's side window motor. Cheers, Dom
  2. I is interested as mine's given up the ghost. Curious, though: is this one 2nd hand or a brand new one?
  3. Hi Ryan, I have one that is surplus to requirements, if you're still after one. Chasing $250 ono. Cheers, Dom
  4. I believe that you need to remove the bolts holding the lamps in place and remove the entire unit in one go before getting access to the actual globe. I also got as far as removing the trim and saw the exposed bolts but wasnt game to try and threw it all back together instead. Havent tried since. =)
  5. Just out of curiosity, what do these kits usually go for?
  6. Brilliant day out, thanks Jas and Ryan for getting it together. The missus and little one seemed to have enjoyed it too! We got lucky in that our little one slept the whole way and only woke for a feed. Definitely keen on the next one.
  7. Very impressive, didnt think that it'd look that good to be honest. Agree with Ryan, too, that its a little hard to make out the front bar due to the colour, but still an awesome piece of work. Wheels look the goods too. edit: Grammar
  8. The piggy back systems arent on the cards at this point; the car's only meant to be a Daily for the missus but I might be able to play around with it every now and again and throw some goodies on. See what happens I guess
  9. Haha, seems that way. Is it recommended to get on a Dyno after getting the exhaust sorted? Andrew mentioned doing so but I was under the impression that a Dyno wouldnt be of any real use apart from getting some numbers as the ECU cant be modified or tuned to take the exhaust into account and it has the ability to learn... Is that right or am I way off?
  10. Just had the exhaust done from tip to tail by Andrew at AM Performance; and absolutely fantastic job and quick turn around. To go into a little more detail; Purchased a 2nd hand Freeway Dolphin cat-back exhaust via Jesse Streeter and already had a Scotty Dump Pipe waiting to go on. Talked to Andrew about getting a midpipe sorted and perhaps installing the whole lot for us while he was at it. Dropped the car off on Saturday arvo/night (around 5:30pm) and picked it up almost exactly 24hrs later, though he did have it ready to go at 11am. Frickin awesome stuff! An absolute pleasure to deal with and will definitely go back to him with any new work, even though he around an hour away from home, he's just that good. I'll try to get a pic or two up of the finished product but I have to say that it sounds mean as. Seems to have better response too... All in all very happy with the end result
  11. I would if she was a little older but being only 3 months old she would more than likely crack it and force us to head home early. I'd rather hand her over to the olds for a few hours, who'd be happy to have her, than risk missing out on another cruise. haha
  12. Im keen and should be good to go this time around; the Mrs wants to tag along too... might have to find a sitter for the little one
  13. I had a quick search on here regarding 2 stage boot cut but couldnt really see anything relevant. Can anyone clarify what it's supposed to do so that the next time I'm in the driver's seat I can give it a test? To the front of the car, ey? I would have to concede, then, that my tuner effort is indeed soft in comparison. My headunit has reverse imput but I neither have the keys to gain access nor the patience to try to hard wire the camera to the front. I might try the wireless unit, however, if i can get to the back of it. The goal always was to utilise the stock monitor as it really doesnt serve any purpose apart from mileage at the moment. That would be absolutely awesome, I just have no idea when i'll have a wknd free as I've been "hired" to help complete the renos on the house. Still alot that needs to be done at this stage. I'd be happy to drop you a line when some free time comes into view, if you're still keen... =)
  14. Why yes it is! black oval with a green backlight when switched on. Any idea what the relay/switches do? Thanks for the info Paul, is there a way to diagnose whether this is in fact the issue? Is the Attessa setup in the cage on the drivers side, under the boot floor? The editting in my post changed the colour of the link, but here it is again (Reverse camera Link) and the wireless transmitter is this one. I wasnt sure whether to wire up the Koleos one as from what I've read of Paul's writeup it can be a bit of a pain in the arse to get the cables to the Tuner... Just gotta find some time over the weekend to have a go at it, I suppose. As it'll be hooked up to the Factory tuner, the distance issue shouldnt apply I would have thought, so it would fall to the actual quality of the product. I'll have a good look at it when it arrives and make the decision then. I'll definitely post an update once its all done and dusted =)
  15. Good evening all, long time no post. Obviously, I've been kept rather busy with the new addition to the family but thought it was time enough to get back into the swing of it all. Due to small renos on the home, the money I was hoping to throw into the Stag, which we've had for nearly 4 months now, has all been re-appropriated and used elsewhere... yay. However, tax time is here and I’ve decided that whatever I can re-coup from Mr Tax Man will be directed towards getting the Fujitsubo in from Japan and finally getting Scotty's Dump pipe installed too. I've got a couple Q's regarding the Stag at the moment but could certainly list off a few more but think I’ll go easy at this time =) Firstly, how the heck does one get access to the Reverse light globes? I've taken off all the trim on the boot door only to find a hard plastic cover over everything with no direct cable or holder to the globes within. Is it a case of dismantling it all further to get access? I was attempting access one afternoon whilst giving the car a good clean but ran out of sunlight before I could take it any further. Secondly, I'm noticing that the ATTESSA pump is priming at every start and almost every second set of stop lights and wanted to know whether this was normal. I haven’t had a chance to check the fluid levels (nor have I confirmed where the reserve is) but thought that I might ask while I'm here. Another thing I might mention is that I've been looking at installing a reverse camera as the Wife isn’t too confident about parallel parking anymore and have found an almost DIRECT REPLACEMENT for the existing number plate light on the vehicle. Most people have been recommending either the X-Trail or Dualis camera's and making plates to cover any gaps as the units are shorter/thinner than the original and I wanted to find something closer to what we have. After extensively searching eBay for a suitable replacement, I stumbled upon a replacement for the Renault Koleos which is nearly identical in dimensions and fits PERFECTLY in the space the original used. The only Modification required was to turn the camera around the other way, which was achieved via undoing the 4 screws holding it to the plastic and then the 2 holding the base of the camera on the unit. I simply turned the base around 180deg and put it all back together again. I’m currently waiting to receive a set of Wireless transmitters so I won’t have to route any cable through difficult spots and the total cost was less than the wireless X-trail units on eBay. All in all, pretty chuffed with the find. As far as the car is concerned, it’s absolutely brilliant. Both Vince from the compliance and Troy from Iron Chef where fantastic and would highly recommend them and their services to all. I’ve been advised that the car has Nismo Suspension and not just springs, but again I haven’t had a chance to get under it and have a proper look. It also has Auto Dip mirrors and some little aftermarket button in the driver’s foot well, which I have no idea what it does. It definitely needs a good detail as well as a cut and polish as I cant stand how dirty it gets so soon after washing and reckon a good coat of wax and sealer will help. Eventually I’d love to get my hands on the chassis braces being made up as well as some sway-bars to help stiffen Moby Dick up. *edit: fixed grammar and layout
  16. Just curious; is it at all possible to wire up the reverse camera into the existing JDM tuner? As the new Double Din unit I'm throwing in the car will have the GPS and media duties, the Mrs wants to have the stock screen actually used for something apart from the economy readings etc. Would it be a similar process to what Paul has described in his post above (linked)?
  17. Ermm... hadn't planned on it but I suppose anything is possible. My plans for the car arent huge; full exhaust and bigger wheels and possibly a set of sways front and back. The intent is for a nice tourer for the Mrs to drive around in and lug around all the baby gear too. See what happens, I guess P.S. - Could actually have it as soon as the end of the week, if all goes well with compliance
  18. Thats cool, I'll have a poke around the EOI thread and see what's what. =)
  19. I think that's exactly what the speed signal is used for, Leon, thanks! Found this after confirming Leon's theory: "In addition to the GPS antenna the navigation takes input signals from the car’s speed sensor and reverse light wires, but these two only aid in sheer accuracy and aren't strictly required." Again, thanks Leon. I'll have a shot at using the wires described and will send you a PM regarding those Cruise Control kits; they're certainly something I want to throw in there too. =)
  20. Cool, I have that one on my watch list. Curious, do these cable pass on any of the vehicle information? To clarify that a little, (even I had to re-read that), I've got a Pioneer AVIC-F920BT to throw in the car once I get it in the driveway and the built-in GPS has an input for the speed signal. Does the harness pass on that data or does it need to be tapped from the speedo somehow? Hopefully I'll be able to play around with it all soon as the car gets delivered to the compliance shop shortly, if it isn't there already =)
  21. A really good suggestion, Ian. Just curious, though; do you happen to know which harness would work for the Nissan to ISO bit? I've seen a few floating around, with various years and model specific but cant really find one that pertains to G/V35 skyline but I have found one for the 350z. Not sure if the 350z one will work, though...
  22. Makes sense and completely understandable; I honestly let my impatience get the better of me on this occasion. Still getting brilliant service from the Iron Chef crew
  23. Ah, cool. Thank Alex. I'll certainly be keeping a keen eye on the site hahaha
