  2. It's not that standard gauges in most cars are not accurate, they're usually set to sit in the middle at acceptable temps. Once it starts getting toward the too hot range it'll go up. Most people just prefer to know exactly what the temps are doing.
  3. I wouldn't imagine you'd really need a broker for an interstate purchase, should be easy enough to organise between yourself and the seller.
  4. My car was in the open during the night. There was some hail but not big enough to cause any damage
  5. I want e85 damn it. Western Australian Government needs to wake up
  6. R33's are out everywhere today around Rockingham/Kwinana. Still had wheels when they left
  7. Make your car as tidy as possible. If it looks like you genuinely look after it and take good care of it then they won't pick on you as much.
  8. Think I saw a clean Stagea on Thomas rd about 10pm. Would have been a fun play if I was going the same way
  9. Spotted random Wine red r33 Turning onto Thomas road about 3.30pm. Foot slipped? lol
  10. I think I'll probably go to Tristan, seeing as he specialises in Toyota, and has experience with the ECU and the engine, makes for less experimentation. I've spoken to him and I think I have a plan in place now for tuning. I just know I'm going to be recovering from "invoice rape" after this major service and cam/springs install for a while. Appreciate all the input though.
  11. I have a question here, searching hasn't helped me much in this regard. In regards to NOS control, I figure I can set the EMU to send an aux signal to squirt happy gas at certain RPM, but how do I get the EMU to recognize when I have the nitrous system armed, and switch to a different timing map when this happens. So say I want to go full Nozzle at 3000 rpm and also retard the timing at the same time, then shut down the nitrous before hitting the rev limiter (Which will be changed to an ignition cut instead of fuel cut) Is this Possible with the EMU? Also can it progressively increase the amount of Gas I'm injecting? Would be nice to start with say 25% at 2750 rpm and hit 100% at 3500rpm or so.
  12. Please don't weld the diff :-o *Shudders* (pun intended)
  13. I've had a battery charger tell me my battery is full a number of times but after a few hours it starts reading right (Flat) Same battery worked fine after charging it on and off for about 4 days (Slow charger) And as far as I remember disconnecting the battery to see if the car runs on the alternator only works on old cars where the alternator is in a circuit with the ignition system or whatever. I would never hook up a charger to any car with an ECU :-|
  14. Not having my car back for 9 weeks on what should be a 2 week job. And that in fact does grind my gears because I have to drive my bush bashing patrol, and I believe there's some sort of unnatural grinding going on somewhere in that thing.
