  1. Firstly i', located in TAS, or Tasmania for those of you who don't understand abbreviations. Hobart (7000) to be more precise. And i am willing to pay for things to be posted over if the price is right. I'm looking for a few things, Here goes. S13 Rear Height adjustable coilovers, new or old (in good nic if old) If i cant get hold of those then the standard R31 rear suspension will do the trick for now. A R31 Center bearing for the tail shaft, as mine is absolutely rooted. Possibly S13 Front coilovers, if the price is right. If not then later down the track. LSD Manual Gear ratio diff. Prefer 4.11. (sedan by the way) And maybe some handbreak cables. Just reply to this thread as i check here a few times a day. Cheers Kurt
  2. Perth WA? head up to Zig Zags.
  3. My brother has put a 32gtr front bumper on his r32 gtst. Personally i think the bumper makes his car look like a shark, kinda like the lancer shark look. His old one was much better.
  4. Yeah that was me.
  5. Oh and Martin said he put the best oil in the box to try and make it last a bit longer. I assume it would of been redline or an equivilent then.
  6. I'll talk to Martin and see what he thinks would be best. Even if i can get an R33 Auto in there for the time being and then get that built later down the track, surely a built 33 box will be better then a bulit 31 box. Dunno. We shall see. Cheers
  7. Both of my brothers live interstate, and they've both got black ops, so i think i'll stick with that for the time being Cheers for all the reply's/ Kurt
  8. How much for the auto box? Where are you located?
  9. Mother ended up getting me COD Black Ops and Sonic Unleashed! haha, now i need broadband, this little USB Internet is no good!
  10. I do have a spare one. Have no idea on what condition its in, not that that matters if i build it. Whats the cost in getting one rebuilt tough? The reason for wanting a 33 auto is because there dirt cheap, and should handle what i've got for the time being. Money is gonna be a little tight for a bit, and from what i know its fairly easy to put in the 33 auto. In the long run i'll get an auto rebuilt, but for the time being i want something that can handle the power i've got. Also have heard that the 33 box launches and changes gears alot better then i 31 box. Which i can understand when its 10 years newer.
  11. I've got a stall convertor already. or will it not fit a new box?
  12. fair enough. cheers
  13. I ain't touching nothing. Mechanic knows what he's doing.
  14. When the fuel pump in my R31 shat itself we just pulled her out, connected everything from the old pump to the new bosch 040 pump and slapped her back in. Ran as normal. So my thoughts are slap her in and go for it. But it might pay to see what other people think.
  15. I still have the plastic snorkle from the front to the box, Marty might still have the pipe that goes from the box to the plenum. Send us a text on 0435 262 590. I've got tomorro off for once. I've got a genuine Tomei Fuel Pressure Regulator, don't know if its adjustable or not, but i don know that all the modifcations done to the car were done with quality and reliability in mind. Cheers Kurt
  16. when i get the new gearbox put in i'll tell my mechanic to put in a recirc bov at the same time. Then we'll see what difference that makes on the retune. Oh and i was just talking to the mechanic and he recons the injectors should be good for about 250rwkw. The limiting component is my gearbox at the moment. So we shall see what happens later down the track. cheers Kurt
  17. Oh, need to ask this, at the moment i don't have a BOV, when i back off on the boost, i get a flutter sound, is that bad for the turbo? And seeing as im staying auto, do i need a bov with my setup? Seeing as when the gears change i don't need to back off the accelerator and i'm still on boost for the entire next gear, will putting in a bov ruin that continuous effect? If i need a bov, i want one that doesn't make much sound when im driving around normally, i dont mind if it makes noise when i've been booting it, but still the more discrete the better. I like the sequential bov's, if that what there called.
  18. Well at least now i won't be shocked when i get told i need bigger injectors. Seeing the mechanic today. Will ask him why he chose those injectors when i see him.
  19. Guess i'll have to get new injectors when i do more performance. which i'll remind everyone won't be for quite a while. How many people would be interested to see the difference in power output when i put the new box in? cause i'll be getting it retuned when i do it, so i guess i might as well put the dyno sheets up.
  20. Did ya do the entire boot? Was there a big reduction in road noice?
  21. ca 18 375cc injectors, all cleaned and flow tested. As far as i know they should be suffiecent enough to handle the power i want to get out of the car. Whats your car putting to the wheels?
  22. I wont be doing the power upgrades for sometime. Just trying to find out what is best for my setup that way if something comes up cheap i can grab it or what not. I'm only really aiming for 300rwkw, so if i can get there without water/metho then i wont even go near it. I don't really like the thought of it too much. Next time the car is up on the hoist i'll have a look under and around to see if i can fit anything anywhere. I'm sure my mechanic will have some sort of idea. With a fmic, if i were to get a black one, have the intercoolers intake on the bottom passenger side so the pipe from the turbo can run along the bottom of the engine bay (hopefully out of site) and the have the outlet for the intercooler on the top passenger side, feeding into the factory air box hidden under the factory plastic snorkel thing, and then have it feed out of the bottom of the box where it would normally be and into the plenum. Hope that makes sense? i'll try google something that looks simular or perhaps edit a picture. Cheers Kurt
  23. i've seen a few cars with the black intercoolers ( probably haven't noticed a lot of them), i have been considering it, but i was thinking a water air cooler would work better? Depending on where i mount it hopefully could eliminate heat soak after tha car is turned off. I don't have stock pistons, the whole engine had been rebuilt and its been built to be tough. But like you say if its the last thing ya do when you want that bit more power i'll stick with the intercooler for now. And i don't think i would run out of the stuff. I'd be mega paranoid and would check/ refill it before every drive. haha. Just realised how easy qouting is. Kinda proud of my self. Cheers Kurt
  24. Don't do burnouts and i don't hoon so i don't see my self giving them an excuse to pull me over. I know they don't need an excuse and will pull you over for next to nothing but i haven't had any drama's yet. And thanks for the info Van Von. And everyone else i think we should get back to my car. My mechanic suggested trying water/metho injection. What are peoples thoughts on this? I was thinking running a pwr water to air intercooler and then only running the water/metho when on full throttle, ie; only when i want to boot it and get a bit more power. Any idea's on making this setup low key? Including the intercooler placement. And would using the window washer bottle as the metho resovoir be dangerous due to engine bay heat and the fact that 50/50 water metho is still flamable? Cheers Kurt
  25. They have to suspect something first though. I'm not even sure what powers the police have when it comes to defects and inspecting your car. ie: if a cop asks you to pop your bonnet and rev the shit out of your car, do you have to? (I'm in tasi) I've been pulled over a few times and they've only ever done there supposibly "Random" breath test and licence check. I like that pod idea, might look into it, the pipe is chrome, we painted over it to make it look more low profile, because personally a big chrome intake pipe just screams "mod" to me. For the time being what i have will have to do.
