im getting the lsd for about 70 big ones so im not fussed, its gotta be better then what i got. but i will have a look at it before i buy it. what tools are needed to remover the back cover? and will shit, ie oil, pour out? and i'm looking for 37:9 to be stamped?

yeah i want to keep it auto. already have a stall convertor. My next step is the r33 auto box and lsd. Then a full s13 suspension conversion along with break upgrade (something like r33gtr or gtst breaks, the four piston ones) and fatter tires with good tires. then after that more engine performance.

ah ok. im still learning a lot of rookie things about skylines. the more i learn though the more i respect what wonderful cars they are. this site is a brilliant resource.

ah thank you. i'm looking for take off as i care not for my fuel consumption. does any one have any thoughts on installing an r33 auto gearbox. i was put under the impression today that they'll handle more power then an r33 manual box. cheers Kurt

My mother and brother are on the way to the shops to buy me a ps3 game for christmas. i only have gt5, which is awesome, but would like to get something other then a racing game and dont know what to get. i've played things like god of war, devil may cry, assasins creed and final fantasy. mostly on friends ps2's and i quite like those games. i want a game that i wont get sick of too quickly but also one that i dont have to play for extended periods at a time. i dont have the internet just yet so i'm also hoping for a game that i will like offline as well as online when i get connected. cheers Kurt

should of used duck tape. would last longer. i don't seem to be gettin much bass from it. dont know if its a shit amp or if its a tuning thing. will get someone experienced to look at it. also wanting to dynomat the entire boot, including lid, to hopefully eliminate some road/exhaust noise and also improve bass. would i see good results?

oh and with the speedo i'll just stick a pot (pretty sure thats all the speedo interceptor will be) and adjust it when she's on the dyno. that should be more accurate i think.

will get the pics soon. all depends on if i can sum up some motivation and walk downstairs, move the car, jack it up and then roll around in crap. as far as i know oil lines run from turbo to engine with a oil pump to assist. i have a separate oil cooler for the trans. i've sourced a r31 skyline diff with lsd. and i believe thats a 4.11? and i think the pinny's have 4.1 i could be wrong. and just so i know, the bigger the ratio the better acceleration, ie 4.11 is better then 3.7? cheers

cheers, reading more i discovered that the box will fit really easily except the speedo wiring and plugs are different, however, the 31 speedo fits the 33 speedo housing which is good cause then my speedo reads correctly?

Just read that a r33 auto box will fit easily except the speeding wiring is different, however, the r31 auto speedo will fit in the r33 speedo housing. So it sounds as if its very doable. plus the bloke who did it says take of is much much better.

Just got a Fusion sub. no clue on baffle. I've got it in a box atm. and the box is sitting where the sub in the picture is, so i might just do half the seat as mdf so i can mount tha amps. what do you think?

yeah i'm pretty happy with it. Just sourced a manual lsd cheap so that should improve takeoff response i assume. Seeing as i have an auto diff. And i've just been reading that a r33 auto box will fit into a 31. I'm seriously considering that if i can get it on the cheap seeing as i won't be able to afford a r33 manual conversion for sometime. If anyone wants more info let me know and i should be able to get ya the answers, don't really feel like doing a full write just now. too lazy!

Finally got off my arse, here's the dyno sheets. Second one is just an enlarged pic of the before/after dyno. Keep in mind she's got a tourque convertor and we had to tune it down due the the slush box being a shit box. Now lets hope that works and you can all see. Putting it up on the hoist tomorro so i'll try get some pics of the set up for ya's. Sorry for making you all wait.

I understand what you mean now. i'm going to put a single piece of mdf behind the seats like you say and cut a whole in it for the sub to mount in and then mount the amps along side or below. I have an auto R31, and at the moment the car is putting out more power then the auto can handle. This is partly due to the fact the box is in pretty shit condition. I do have a spare auto box but i have no idea on the condition its in. I do plan to convert to manual using a R33 box. Any who, my question is: would a later model auto box fit my 31? ie; could i fit a r33 auto box or something. My reason asking this is because i assume an auto box would be fairly cheap (due to people converting to manual) and hopefully a later model box would be stronger then a 31 auto and easy to fit? Wanting to do this so i can get the most out of the car for the time being and because i wont be able to afford a conversion for some time. So can anyone let me know if this is possible to do or if its a shit idea or what not. Still learning about skylines so any advise is appreciated. I did pull a quick search but come up empty handed, i don't think the search function is as good as it used to be. Cheers Kurt
