The only way i can see why they would say you get more power is that you get more power for a specific rev range. I don't see how it would increase your peak power.

I work at a caltex servo here in tas, so naturally i put 98 from caltex in it. Only really buy it from my servo cause i get it cheaper and i know that the tank its in is a brand new one with absolutly no crap in it. Used to get bp ultimate cause thats all ya could get here, but haven't touched it in a while (very over priced) and i think im getting slightly better economy on the caltex fuel. Noticing a lot more people coming into work and getting 98 and then complaining about bp being a rip off though. Haha.

Do you still have the little plastic cover that goes over the ignition barrel? If so what colour? Haha i lost mine.

I went an got a personal loan through my bank (NAB), there really straight forward and didn't stuff me around.

+1 ^ if your buying a car to sell it for more, you don't want to mod it, just give it a good going over with the cut an polish, repair or replace anything that needs to be done, go over all the inside and the engine bay and be done with it. But if all your interested in is making some money your on the wrong site, this is for people who are passionate about there machines.

any money you spend on any car, you won't get back. if your going to spend any money on it your better off keeping the car till the panels rust off, then duck tape those panels back on and keep on going. what is your total budget? ie, how much money are you willing to throw at it?

GT Garage in Tas is doing the tuning i believe, my mechanic is organising it all and they do all his tuning as far as i know. I haven't heard anything bad about them, so im not too worried.

Alrighty, i can't find any threads that cover this. I got a 86 GXE R31, doesn't have cruise control, obviously, the TI's do however. How easy is it to put cruise control in my car, if possible, and what are the costs involved? How much for me to do it or how much for my mechanic to do it roughly. And would i be able to use a standard one or would i have to go aftermarket? Cheers

im always putting 98octane fuel in it any nothing else. I work at a servo so it's never out of my way to get it. So i don't want different tunes for different fuels. Is it worthwhile trying to tune it for better economy or should i just drive with a lighter foot?

so simply there is no need? Because its costly and doesn't achieve anything?

Got a nistune comp going in my 31 and it'll be on the dyno later this week. Does any one know if it possible to give it two separate tunings and how hard it is to switch between? ie: can i tune it for high performance on one setting and max economy on another, and is it as simple as flicking a switch while i'm driving or when the car is off? or would i need a controller to plug in or my laptop? I'm sure this is covered somewhere, couldn't find it at a glance so can any one tell me or point me in the right direction? cheers.

i spun out when i seen the pictures. I've got a 31 which needs a bit of tlc, will get to it once i've finished on performance, any way, what spun me out is that i have almost the exact same numberplate and i thought for a moment that ya pinched them! Haha. Nice job though, perfect car for cruising.

hmm. Don't really know. I've got an r31 so everything is fairly simple. Hopefully there's someone else on here who knows.
