  1. A coil pack has died. need a replacement, just a stocker or a set if price is ok. Quicker to sms me 0422 253 174 cheers Mike in perth
  2. alternator? 0422253174
  3. ok thanks guys, will replace it and clamp it as well. I might get a dyno run and get my afr's checked as well. Dont like to mess around
  4. Found this little hose had come off. Fixed the high idle problem ive been having See attached pic But today it came off again. Its obviously a vacuum hose going to the fuel pressure reg but i didnt realise just how important it is until i did some reading on here. This from sydneykid was most enlightening.. and scary Sydneykid on FPR hose/boost guage install There is no clamps on this little hose and no evidence there ever were so it makes me think nissan never expected it to come off. Its coming off when the car is on boost. Anyone know why? i dont want to just clamp the thing on id rather understand whats happening because it could be pointing to something more serious? Car is R32 gtr, 1989, 1.0 bar boost, stock computer, aftermarket turbos recently installed which were rebuilt and highflowed r33's.
  5. Hey bwrgtr, I have aftermarket boost guage. Its been reliable. No EBC though
  6. Hey Guys, Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Got an R32 GTR and for reliability ive just changed the ceramic turbos for Steel. They are recond r33 gtr units with a bit more flow and came with the actuators already set by the previous owner who had a tuned r33. They are on now and ive been driving it for a couple weeks.. albeit a little gingerly. Seems its boosting too high and i believe its because the actuators that came with the turbos are not set correctly. The first time ive pushed it, it went to 1.0 to 1.1 bar and then the car went into some fuel cut mode or the ecu cut the spark or something. It kept running normally once boost went down. So at the moment im just driving it and im using my right foot to keep the boost below 0.7. I just want stock boost or a small gain over stock. Do you guys think im on the right track with setting actuators? Perhaps there is some hose or something basic that has come off? If actuators are the place to look.. Any tips on setting them? Is there like a air pressure guage that i could stick on them and see when they activate. I hate the idea of pulling all the air intake crap off and then guessing where to turn the nut on them only to find out its not quite right and do it all again. Car has standard ecu. I put dumps on with the turbos if that matters. cheers, Mike
  7. omg. i just read someone elses post about this. How far a drive is it! Where do i rent a respectable car??
  8. i came with my japanese gf to check out things over here. Its pretty dam amazing place to be! So far have spent great night out dancing at a night club and ended up sleeping at a karaoke place while the girls sang till 5 in the morning. thats when the trains start again Went to akihabara today to check out all the gizmos. loved it. I want some car action but from reading here it seems i have missed the nismo festival and the TAS starts 2 days after i leave! haha so close yet so far. I will check out the nismo factory when it opens on weekend. Any other tips? I have 4 days to explore japan by myself before snowboarding and then meeting the gf's parents. scary.
  9. Hey Marko R1 I asked the same a while ago. Yet to sort one out though http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Op...ch-t190423.html
  10. Cheers GeeTR. Yeh ive been through the manual and it doesnt show the wiring I was hoping the wiring loom on the car was color coded to match but its not the case. godzl1975 - is there somewhere in that thread that has the wiring ? I went through it and couldnt see it. really appreciate anyone who can have a look at the wiring on theirs for me.
  11. Hey guys. Im changing my o2 sensors (car is R32 GTR) while ive got the dumps off. The original sensors rattled when i shook them which is a pretty sure sign they are busted. They have done 130'000 ks anyway So i bought the NTK replacements. Its a bit confusing getting replacements for the GTR so heres the info. Part number is OTD2F-P1P. This is a direct replacement for the stock 32 gtr sensors. They look exactly the same as the original nissan ones and i wouldnt be suprised if nissan sourced them from NTK. I paid $150 each for these through Auto One in W.A. BUT.. you must change the plug on the end of one of the sensors. Its as easy as getting a jewellers flat blade screwdriver and popping all 3 wires and pins out of the new plug and pushing them into the original plug from the old o2 sensor. Trouble is.. I forgot which wire went where because i pulled them all out at once Does someone have some old sensors laying around and could confirm for me. The photo with the wires out the back is my best guess as to how they went. hope these photos work
  12. Thats a pretty good price considering all the work that goes into it.
  13. Johnbarry88 - that looks great. How much did they charge you for it?? I polished mine up before i painted with metalcast. Was a bit sad to see all that hard work polishing get covered in paint But you need a shiny surface before putting the metalcast on or it doesnt work
  14. Permaseal is probably your best best. They do a lot of aftermarket gaskets for engines. The were able to supply me with rocker cover seals for rb26. Over here in perth would go to Auto 1 or Repco or coventrys who sell permaseal. Dont know in adelaide but there will be plenty of places.
  15. ^ agree with above Yeh i hoped you sealed the edges cos its gonna rust. And its going to get water into your pod if you have one. Dont see that it would keep under bonnet temps down at all in that position. Perhaps if you just want the look you could seal up underneath somehow. i dunno. I give you credit for having the balls to cut your bonnet but its not something i would do. Interior plastics look cheap Grill looks good to me.
  16. starting 2 threads was a bit silly I wrote in your other thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...Ha-t206935.html theres a pic of mine from mr gaitor with red stitching.
  17. I got my gearstick and handbrake gaitors through ebay and it came from the UK. Took one week to arrive. He custom made it with red stitching for me. Fits perfect. real leather. $45.00 inc postage to aus His name on ebay was Mr.Gaitor. It looks like he has changed his name to GAITERS BOOTS COM http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-SKYLINE-GTS-...1QQcmdZViewItem I cant seem to get link to work. Just go ebay and search r32 handbrake pic from my car below http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&id=114785 I dont understand the group buy! its $10 more expensive for what is possibly from the same supplier and they all have to wait longer. And probably wont do custom stitching.
  18. Its gonna be fun to wrap aftermarket gtr dumps evenly
  19. Found another post of his. 1500 degrees paint in the spray cans. Ive seen it before in shops Dont understand why its done. I dont think ill bother unless theres a good reason
  20. Sorry to bring up an old thread. Im about to use heat wrap on GTR dump pipes. Beer Baron can you tell me the theory behind painting it and what type of paint you would use? I plan to use metal cable ties. Cheers for the tip of wetting the fabric, i guess it will keep things in place until it gets secured properly.
  21. Im about to put my turbos back on with X-force dumps. Thing is.. it doesnt look like my exhaust pipe from the dumps to the cat will line up with the x-force at all. Anyone else have this prob? Im pulling off stock turbs with stock dumps and the pipe is a 3-inch something or other. I assume its also stock
  22. lol. justice was done there alright
  23. Big one with the red arrow is your fuel filter Smaller one looks like the fuel pressure regulator.
