R32 Gtr - Just Removed Boost Restrictor
hazerb30 replied to Y2K's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Very interested in the results! Particularly if the air/fuel ratio is acceptable with the increased boost -

On a cruise i met a guy with r32 gtr who got a mobile windscreens obrien guy to install a rear windscreen. The bloke used a generic seal that fitted well and looked good. It was a bit wider than the stock one but looked a hell of a lot better than my old ratty peeling back seal. Cant remember price for seal, was less than $100.

R32 Gtr - Just Removed Boost Restrictor
hazerb30 replied to Y2K's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I had a search here and basically everything i said was wrong. Im assuming now that my restrictor is still in there somewhere. I might look for it tonight. So yeh, running more boost means your giving the turbos a tougher time. You dont want your turbos to shit themselves thought as the debris from a rooted exhaust wheel could damage your engine. -
R32 Gtr - Just Removed Boost Restrictor

Wow.. i thought it was really rare to still have a boost restrictor still in place. I heard they have a yellow band around the hose where the restrictor is.. did yours have this and is it obvious? Where was the hose? I dont think you will have any problems. Ive got a 32gtr and i couldnt find this boost restrictor so I assume its gone and car runs perfectly fine. To my understanding, the car was designed to run the full boost anyways and it was just one of the ways to reduce the power to 206kw for japan. saying this.. im not a trusted source of info so maybe someone else can confirm -
R32 Gtr Injector Cleaning - Need Some Basic Help
hazerb30 replied to hazerb30's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks guys, good info -
Hey guys. My GTR has done 130'000 kms and now that i have a small cold idle problem i thought its time to clean the injectors anyway so i can be confident they are ok before i start changing anything else. I read peoples posts here about aftermarket injectors but i think the Standard ones will satisfy my future needs. As long as they will be as good as new once serviced. Ive got some questions... Would a 89 GTR have top feed or side feed injectors ? Is $180 ok price to clean/test injectors? (i will be supplying them the fuel rail with inj) Which way is easier to get the fuel rail out. Remove the plenum or leave it on ? Do i need to buy some o-rings or something when putting injectors back in ? I read here inlet manifold gasket is $85. this is ridiculous if its true. Might just use loctite 515

Anyone have luck finding car seat covers for r32 GTR's ? I know the pleather ones from the recent group buy are awesome.. just cant justify spending that amount of dollars on something non-mechanical ! Ive seen these but they look too loose fitting. Anyone have em ? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FRONT-PAIR-BLACK-NI...1QQcmdZViewItem Any other types i should know about? or should i just live with the stock look.

I just changed mine on the weekend. I got a ryco for $26 Originally i went down there and they looked up r32 gtr in the book and gave me this massive filter. I walked out with it and tried to put it in but my original was half the size with a right angle bend in the top. I took it back and got the right one. Thanks for the hot water tip it saved me knuckles Interestingly... we cut a hole in the top of the filter about an inch in diameter and lit it up. Made a cool camp stove that sat there burning for an hour... We later realised it was still going so we used compressed air from the bottom and it made the best flamethrower! so crazy how much fuel residue must have been in there it just kept goin and goin. should make your next filter change a bit more interesting

yeh mine are dodgy too in r32 gtr. Its the switch. Sometimes i have to turn the lights on and off a few times and it comes good. And there are no relays in our cars for the headlights. it makes no sense nissan did this. Best to put relays in so full current gets to the lights, means brighter lights and less work the switch has to do. There is a wiring diagram on these forums somewhere.

Ive been running these for a couple months. They are great. Ive just noticed that the new rear left rotor has a fairly deep score in it (this is obviously no fault of the rotor). Any idea what would could cause this ? Rock or something stuck under the pad ?

I was installing the numberplate on the rear of my car and looked in the exhaust and could see the insides of my canon were coming apart. I used a pair of pliers and pulled all this perforated metal out that was blocking the outlet. Then started the engine and gave it a few revs and all this fine dust came out in a big cloud. The canon is obviously rooted but its not noisy so meh

Just wanted to say thanks Rianto for the R32 GTR fronts and rears. I got dimpled and slotted and fitted no worries. You should have seen my old rotors.. they were so rusted and screwed Only thing that gave me any grief was i left the hand brake on. Being drum brake style for the hand brake, the rotor didnt want to come off without a fight. bit stoopid I do hear a bit more noise from what i think is the rotors, i think its the slots whizzing past the caliper. Great product, quick delivery. thanks again!

Yeh i remember reading something like that on here as well. I cant make sense of it though, if there are no relays then wouldnt that mean that a high current cable is running directly off the switch on the dash.. seems a bit stoopid of nissan. My r32 is starting to do the same. pissweak power from the lights and the other night the lights wouldnt turn on unless i turned them on and off a few times

Im down. R32 GTR.

Just putting forward my interest when you make them again.

I need some as well for 32gtr

Damn, i thought the seats in that above picture were from this supplier. That kind of ruins it for me if i cant get exactly what i want. I really want the GTR logo on the front sears and i dont know how i could get it embroidered after getting them and the risk of stuffing it up is not worth it. I dont care about the skyline logo on the parcel shelf so much. But i must have the GTR on the front seats. If it cant be done then i will have to give this a miss. Its too much money not to get it right first time.
