  2. Hi guys i have a 1994 nissan skyline r33 GTST. I use this car for drifting and recently was able to up grade the clutch kit to an exedy hd kit at the same time i fitted an exedy light weight fly wheel. Ive had my car back now for 3-4 days everything was running well feels great. Then this morning after returning from dropping my brother off for work i noticed the clutch pedal clicked. Now i know you are all going to try to say that it is the pedal itself the welds have broken.. belive me it isnt as i have replaced the pedal twice before and is a different noise now. if i put my head underneath the car and use my hand to press the clutch i can hear the clicking noise come from the bell housing area at the same time as the new clucth was fitted spigot bush throw out bearing was ll replaced by my mechanic with new gearbox oil.. clutch does not slip its holds up well performance is not affected at all... just being a drift car and taking the abuse it does just makes me question will it hold up or not?? so if anyone has had similar problems could you please let me knnow asap.. thank you

Hi guys this is so stupid but couple of weekends ago i decided to paint my rocker covers...(turned out crap).. anyway ever since i done so i have an anoying leak which is a bit more then just a couple of drops... i did go out and get a rocker cover gasket kit which included to rcg gaskets bolt seals and 2 half moon seals. Ive managed to take em off and start over and i fixed it a little but still have the leak is there any proces as to how you should tighten these up? i wana try to get an answer tonight so i can attempt atleast one more time tomorrow after work.. btw all seals were replaced by permaseal items so they are a top quality seal.... the leak seems to be comming from the front of the engine rather then the rear.

  9. Hi guys looking to replace my engine mounts including gearbox mounts on the 33. Been looking around at some and notice that somem of the mounts ive been looking at apear a little bit different to mine. For example the driverside engine mount on my r33 is round. And the ones ive been seeing on ebay are sort of square or rectangular. Does this matter?? they are listing them for r33. Also will engine mounts from other rb models suit the 33 for example vl? or r 32? like to get these mounts sort asap because everything i see on ebay is quite exspensive for second hand and if its not second hand its nismo mounts which i really dont need its not like im running 500-600hp. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  11. i have s1 r33 gtst and have been told that it is the original plug for the standard ballist running hid from japan they are remvoved to comply with ADR but like i said i was told that not exactly sure myslef
  12. hi guys im looking to buy an engine for my s1 r33 and i have spotted what seems to be a nice and well looked after engine at a great price. the only problem is is its from a s2 skyline... now i know that the TPS and the coil plugs are different from the s1 to the series 2... what will need to change if i do buy this engine??? im not looking to do full custom stuff like rip out the s1 harnes and run a s2 harnes.. has anyone done this swap before and can anyone give me ant info??

Thanks guys for the input i appreciate it all ive had a gander at some of the bushes and they look really weathered cracked and looking really dry so id say the lot needs doing the only suspension work done to the car is a set of extremly stiff tien d10s the car bounces a hell of alot im not worried about it bouncing im more worried about the knocking the car doesnt feel sexy to drive anymore.. I just wanted a run through of the suspension because im currently doing an engine swap for another rb25det from a wreckers as the cureent one fitted seems to have a worn out big end bearing causing knocking on start up so to keep my mind at ease ill be putting another second hand unit in it whilst i rebuild the other one.. the car is my daily driver yeah its not the best looking 33 it doesnt have the best paint job and everyone tells me to sell it but i just can not spend a day with out driving her so yep engine swap in 2 weeks then focusing on suspension.. once again guys thanks =D
  14. Hi guys ok. my r33 gtst s1 is feeling rattley and verry uneasy to drive i think the bushes are showing there age so i think its time to start replacing. What i would like to know. Is which bushe/bushes are the most common to go that way ill get them first. the biggest uneasy thing ive noticed is i can feeleverypothole through the stearing wheel and i can feel little jerks as im driving and its getting anoying i have about 1 week till i take holidays through work so id like a list of all the bushes i would need so i can grab the parts through the week and work on the car on my time off..   15. i use an oil flush every oil change...... where are the lifters located??? because ive had some people say they dont think the rb has lifters??? and i wouldnt run a diesil oil in my car im not game enough to do that lol i guess ill try using thiner oil ill try a 5w30 see how that goes but im quite sure it will just burn out the oil quick the car is getting old has 208k on it now i just wanted to see what peoples response would be because ive heard alote about rbs having oil pressure issues but my guess is that the big ends starting to wear but still doesnt make sense that im not getting a knock in higher rev range.. im just about ready to buy a long block rb and put that in for the time being whilst working on rebuilding the one i will be taking out
  16. nah not a drift filter i use ryco or wefil ive never had problem with them before
  17. ive tried running thicker oil and ive found the problem progresses longer it seams that the oil isnt getting up to the top of the engine quick enough
  18. denso 50mm high flow pump isnt a bad replacement option i have one in my r 33 and really the only anoying thing about it is that is a bit noisey when primed before turning over the car other then that its quiet efficient and cost savy
  19. Hi guys ok so been having this issue for quite sometime now.. Originally i thought as well as the mechanics.. it had something to do with the big end bearings.But upon droppping the oil over and over again i have not found and metal pices or shrapnel in the oil. Im stumped!! OK so here is what is happening i come out in the morning start mt car arm to warm it up. As soon as i kick her in the guts she hits auto choke and idiles at 1500rpm and the tickking starts. The oil light is on mind u but after 3 seconds or so the ticking stops and the oil light goes off at exactly the same time...A mate of mine pointed out that it could be the pick up having crap loged in it has anyone had anything simillar to this? im starting to believe it may be an oil pump issue but then again im no wizz at this... mind you i have no loss in power no knocking at top end ... if anything ive noticed im running alote richer... any help and advice would be appreciated
  20. coil packs i had the same problem with my 33 but then again i have a FMIC and 12psi sort of makes a sputter sound while climing the rev range aroun 4k -5500? if she hits rich and retart she normaly sounds like its droped a cylinder just pull over till the ecu fixes it self up
  21. ok i have heard the term refreshing the motor does this mean just replace everything with standard items?
  22. Hi guys just got confirmation that my RBs big end bearings are on there way out. So its time for a re build. Im not after anything to full on i wana reach the 280-300Kw range but have a strong reliable engine to do so. what i would like to know is eaxctly what i will need to rebuild so if there is anyone out there that knows the ropes could you please write me out a list here to rebuild the top end. Bottom end will stay stock apart from being refreshed. Thanks guys and any info will be much appreciated.
  23. found the problem.. definantly big end bearings we let the car cool down again and put the car on 4 stilts and started the car whilest i was underneath and the noise is comming from the crank case so yerp big end bearings steven you were on the money. thanks everyone for the input but i guess ill have to fess up and rebuild.
