Hey guys. Firstly, Hi! I just bought a coupe last week... such a beautiful car and it is a dream to drive. So, as you would all know, the radio doesn't work here. This is fine with me. I've been in contact with Chris, but I figure he's a hard guy to get a hold of sometimes. He said something about a GROM unit. This is exactly what I want - something that I can use to plug my phone into.. or bluetooth. Does anyone know if this one for the G35 works?- http://gromaudio.com..._interface.html Or if anyone knows the link to the one I need? My phone is ANDROID and I have the BOSE audio system in my car without SAT NAV Also, is it difficult to install? Is it easy to DIY? What does it involve? I know there's a FAQ.. but it doesn't really answer my question. Thanks in advance.

You are right. It is now 210kW.. just got my coupe last week. Feel like a pro driving a car like this on my P plates and cops cannot do anything (I don't know why they would care.. it's such a respectable car).

Are you 100% sure on this!?!? My 180 failed RWC yesterday.. and they wanted $3000 to fix a small leak in the steering rack and replace some coilovers which apparently were leaking (only a tiny bit). I'm selling the car for $5500. NO WAY. So, I asked the shop if I was fine to go and take it to somewhere else to get a roady and they said that I can do whatever I like. I could take it to anyone I want to get another RWC. Please confirm if what you say is true. FIrst thing in the morning it is going to someone else to get a roadworthy because it needs to be ready by Saturday (a friendlier guy who is serious.. but not worried about these things). I don't want to have the people that bought my car come back to me next week saying they don't have rego. Please confirm. thanks.

Hi everyone. Selling my 180SX. Bought it early last year to work on while I waited for my open license. It saw a few track days, and then early this year the new turbo laws came out! I've been driving it on the road ever since. 1993 Turbo Manual.. It has 245,000 on the clock. Engine pulls hard, no issues at all there. List of Mods: Full 3" Turbo back exhaust Legally applied POD Filter Aftermarket ARC Sidemount Intercooler (these things are brilliant..) FPR gauge Boost Gauge and Exhaust Temp Gauge Turbo Timer Coilover suspension Brand new Yellow Jacket Coil Packs ($450) and Spark Plugs Solid Subframe Collars (not installed) --- DBA Slotted Rotors (perfect condition) Q1ARM Pads (GSL Rallysport) I'm not a big mod person, I tend to focus on running modest power with awesome response and a neat and tidy engine bay. The wheels are 16 x 8 0 steelies running TOYO R888 semi slicks with excellent tread left. The car has been lowered to 100mm at its lowest and has been legally done. You wont have any issues here. The paint (as you will see in the photos), needs a bit of work. I've lived with it.. but, the roof definitely needs a bit of TLC.. and the car could use a fresh set of paint. The interior is fine. Nice and neat and tidy. The dash has a few cracks (the car is 20 years old remember), but nothing to be worried about in the slightest. They look fine. There's a nice sound system in there with a decent amp. It will come with a nice looking new vertex front bar (fibreglass) which is prepped and ready to be painted whatever colour you want! In the last few weeks, the car has developed a small backfire in certain areas.. under boost and changing gears. A seasoned SR20 person might know what's wrong.. but I don't. I'm happy to fix this.. or you can buy it and have a go yourself. Now, this car is fine for P platers. I applied for an exemption. I CANNOT guarantee that you WILL get an exemption. I will happily give you the documentation that I used and it worked without any worries. I had the car weighed and have the certificate. The car ended up being about 1280kgs x 153kw. This translates down in 117kw/tonne! You need to be under 125kw. Cops have no issue with the car. Fixed my only defect as soon as I got it. She has 245k's on the clock.. has only ever run 98 (since I've had it). I've fixed alot of so that it's become a reliable daily and an awesome track car. Really nice and powerful. Ahh yes. Well, I have an exhaust too. Don't think you need a mod plate for those in the first place. It's never caused any issues On the other hand.. I'm pretty 33's are ruled out for being too powerful aren't they..?

You don't need to get it 'checked'. Just prove that the weight and power are both under 125kw. The problem with s13's is that there is no 'official' documentation proving that the car is under.. so I had a look at some old driver's manuals and also got it weighed. Seemed to work. Just obviously remember that regardless of anything, P platers are NOT allowed anything requiring mod plates.. so as long as you don't get your exemption and then throw another engine in there or something stupid.. you'll be fine.

This was in the Morayfieldish/Redcliffeish area. To be honest, I have nothing else that's defectable. Not really in my interests to run a car that stresses me out all day long with the potential for more trouble. Everything is clean and tidy.

So, I'm driving a 180sx on my P's.. with exemption and all the rest. No issues here. I got RBT'd the other day and the obligatory bonnet check occured.. and I got a defect for my oil breather venting into the atmosphere. I knew about the issue, however I bought the car like that and the cop was fine with it. So I received a defect notice for the breather, no fines, no points, and all I have to do is hand in my form to the police station. Easy enough. It's a self-clearing one. So I have 30 days (more like 21 now), to hand in the form to the station. My question is, this is my normal car and I need to drive it for obvious reasons. Am I able to be pinged again whilst I haven't fixed the problem but before my form is due? I'm definitely going to fix the issue, no doubt.. but I wonder if a cop can get me for exactly the same thing in between the 30 days? I've been avoiding alot of driving because I don't really want to get a worse punishment, just in case. Am I right to drive?

I went and got it weighed at a station (normal curb weight is 1220kg and 153kw).. but they got me as 1280kg.. and that took me down to 117kw per tonne. Of course this didn't take into factor my exhaust and at the time, fmic. Which would have put me over the limit.. but I got rid of the fmic (didn't want it to cause any problems in the long run). So, it is possible. And you don't need a reason! Only been pulled over twice. One didn't even ask me for my exemption, the other did, and looked at it very puzzled. I got a defect, but no other issues there.

Although this was a while back.. I bought V8 Supercars 3 for PS2 (brilliant game imo) the day it was released from Kmart.. i don't know what happened but there was no prices around or anything. Me and my mum went over to one of those scanner things in the store and it was $28.. EB had it for $100 Kmart are good

MSY for me. The only reason I usually have to make myself a trip back there is because of my own stupidity (i.e buying the wrong part to fix a problem etc ). Other than that.. Umart for deliveries

It's pretty hard to say though.. I mean.. it's highly likely that he just faked the address and collected the parcel at the fake address maybe. My friend had his bike stolen.. someone one rang up and said he was from Ormeau.. and asked if he could ride the bike. My friend said yeah, but as long as he could follow in his own car. He drove of in the bike and his address was a fake. Irrelevant story, yes. But, man people are so sad!

I agree. I mean, if your car is worth a bit (which, for some reason you all have awesome cars anyway), then you'd do it. In my case, I have a Nissan Exa (N13) and the excess would be worth the same price as my car.. it's just not worth it. Like Crackfox said.. the cut you get back is not really worth all the trouble! However, in cases over $12,000 it seems more pheesable to get full comp..
