  1. Which I do not know, and that may be totally correct, this is why I was asking They can be adjusted, but are done differently and I have NFI...
  2. On my Pulsar all I had to do was find the arm that attaches to the gear box, where the clutch cable attaches, and tighten it (shorten the cable - lock nut + adjuster nut), then adjust the nut behind the pedal in the car to take away the slack that has now been created. I'll look more carefully at home, and see if can find it.
  3. Headlights installed. Boost gauge fixed (not perfectly, and not properly, but on a way that seems to be working successfully....) - should fix it properly later. Any one able to advise on where the clutch adjustments are on the skylines? I wanna make it start engage closer to the floor like I did in my previous car - if possible.
  4. I just worked a regular boring day as if the races never existed. What a shame.
  5. Yeh not a bad idea, or keep using the nissan filter til get a magnetic sump plug
  6. In the other thread was saying the genuine ones are meant to be better quality than the ryco ones, but not sure how or if is really true.. But is convenient to get them both together at the same time..
  7. Yeah, fair enough call $20 for genuine filter vs $13 for a ryco. $59 for the oil vs $40. I guess the $26 bucks extra for quality and upkeep of such an awesome vehicle is worth it.
  8. Yeah cool cool. But curious about if really is worth spending the $50-59 bucks on the 5L for some those brands vs, things like Castrol and Shell etc that can buy from Auto Barn, Super Cheap etc... I want to be changing the oil every 3months of 5000kms, and $80 each time whilst doing all the work myself still feels a little steep... I used to run Castrol Edge 5w30 in my SR20DE, and that worked really well, but last couple changes went to Castrol Magnetic 10w40 cos the engine was starting to get a bit more rattly with its age.
  9. Called Trojan tis $59 for the oil and $20 for the genuine nissan filter. Seems alright. Also I keep hearing bout Sougi - where and how do you get that, and is it worth it and available here? From what I read: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Go...nded+engine+oil I'd prob best like to be running a 10w40 oil.. Now to decide what one, where to get it, and whats the best price vs quality balance for these.. And also gotta sort out a good quality filter etc. BTW How many liters of oil go into an r33?
  10. It left me fairly confused still. so many different thoughts and opinions. I might just use what ever had been used previously in it. I think it was Motul, and it was the 5w30 or 10w40.. but gotta check with the guy again.. That was why asked for some advice cos i'm still pretty confused... I'd rather not spend heaps more than have to on the oil, but I wanna keep the car running beautifully also.
  11. What oil do you guys use, brands, viscosity and where do you buy it + approx price? I've been reading a thread about oils etc, but wanna get some advice from you guys also. And what about filters?
  12. Always worth a try, just take photo's. I got mine through at premier automotive in mitchell. I did put stock rims on though. Fixed a couple lights and bingo.
  13. Goodbye Wastelands... PM ME if wanna get hold of me.. ..
  14. I'm really gonna have minimal to no luck finding that wing light though... *sighs*
  15. What ones did u get? Brand kit. And are they the 6000k ones? Did you have to make much mods on the car to fit the globes etc?? As in drill out the black housing bit? Supposedly with these I don't. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...T#ht_1014wt_905
  16. *Grumbles* I was looking at doing a HID conversion, but after a lotta thinking and reading, firstly would need 2 kits for high and low beam, secondly supposedly needs cutting mods made to the plastic housing bit that screws in and holds the bulbs etc.. Sounds like too much effort, and too much chance of me getting it wrong.
  17. TA! Appreciated. Long as moisture in the tail light won't ruin it, just look a little blech... least will dry out. As for the boot I'll check it out later.
  18. They supposedly run in series of 4 leds. So usually if anything goes out, it'll be a small section at a time only. There is power to the cables, as we tested the wiring, and I used a different tail light temporarily - but it doesn't fit properly. I'm a little worried to pull it all apart, but I'll definitely take another look, and see if is perhaps dry solder etc.. I'll see what my father can do, he's a pro with solder.. I'm not so good with that kinda fine detail. Also, after that rain this morn i have a little moisture in my back right indicator, and there was some dampness in my boot, but not sure if that was cos some water ran in when I opened the boot or cos there is an actual leak. New tires are awesome, car looks better with the nice mags back on. Alignment is fixed (toe was right out front and back). And I'll keep gently practicing getting this clutch right. I've been careful not to over rev it, but shudders from under aint that great either.
  19. Yeah appears so lol. People see stuff if post to decent topics and threads, but all you snobs didn't wanna say hi lol. All good. I'll definitely come out some Friday when the weather is nice, and I'm not totally flat out. Always good to meet others, get thoughts and advice etc.
  20. Isn't the thing completely sealed tight? Might be possible to fix it as such.. but not sure how to get it apart without accidently damaging it.
  21. Sounds good to me. OK latest issue, I need to somehow get a new LED cluster for the stock rear spoiler *sighs* it aint working at all. Any one got one, ideas or suggestions? Oh and new tires, wheel alignment and balance tomorrow morning, booya.
  22. Yeh thats it, drive it enough - I'll get used to it.. But only way getting it smoother is with a bit more slip.. I'm trying to get the balance right of slip, vs grip and not accidently burning out the tires. Loveing driving this car though. It's awesome
  23. Wow, nobody even noticed me or wanted to say hi.. Ahh well.
  24. Wow, getting used to this heavy duty clutch is weird.... my take offs are so rough
  25. I gotta check these things more often! Next time!
