Ended up buying some second hand ones with bout 90% tread for $55 a corner. bit better than $71-75 for the cheapest new ones.... Will have to do, and when we can afford it, will get nicer rims and tires for the car again.

Yeah, tis a bit of a bitch, no wreckers have them, nor ezy scrap. I wish i knew some one with one, but dont atm... The ones i borrowed from a mate had the 70's not 65's so didnt pass... Looks like we may have to buy 4 crap cheap arse tires for this.....

And are the BR/BC/Pedders ones decent enough though guys? I hear some good things bout them, and never had issues with pedders equipment before... Sure if wanna spend double the price can get something doubly as good, but for the price, and the difference between the price of standard lowered shocks and spring, these would still be a fair enough upgrade right?

Pedders ones were $1600 for the parts only, they seemed pretty decent, and pedders have never given me issues in the past (the parts, the company on the other hand for work... avoid!)

I'd do formals for $50 for the formal. I'll pump out whatever tunes you bring on cd, thumbdrive, ipod or aux from any music playing device. The stereo wont disappoint! Car is neat and tidy, and goes hard. PM to book the date as much in advance as possible.

IF they wanna flaunt in a nice bikini, even if only for a couple hours a year, who are we to complain? I like G+ much more than fb, no apps, no adds.. The chat uses googletalk, to if you have ever used that in your gmail acct, it is the same. And it also keeps chat history (which you can disable), and you can use voice and vid chat through it too.

THIS IS NOT FOR A SKYLINE: I need to borrow 4 rims and tires for a Mitsubishi Lancer. The ones that came with the car put the track off by 20mm, and also didnt have the right load rating (only 500kg not 530). I borrowed a set off a mate of mine, but they didn't pass either, the rolling diameter was out... (They were 70s i need 65s). This is what i am after, either to borrow stock MR lancer mags (most idea option but they must be the STOCK ones, and have the correct tire width and height), or else the specific ones on the tire placard: 185/65R14's with a load rating no less than 86 (530kg), and a speed rating of no less than H. The rim size is 5.5J. Please get back to me asap if can help me out. THANKS!

Thanks Verms, but i can install in no worries. It was only trying to work out how to make the current dvd player compliant.... But they told me i can just remove it and i wont get bounced for the open dash area, so that wil do till the new one comes in the next week or two.

A question, for those of you who have been defected in the ACT, and then made changes to pass the defect and gone back to how the car was before, eg rims that are too big, or car slightly too low ect. Have you been re-defected or once it is fixed and solved it generally all been fine. Also, when and how where you defected.. The whole story: My girl got a new car, had a few issues, we fixed them for rego, and get it passed at a local repair shop. Then the gov decides to audit the inspection place, and gets us to bring the car in to dickson, which was mostly fixed from before. They defect it on some of the same stuff and a bunch of new stuff, mainly the fact the track on the front wheels is out (20mm less than should be), and the front tires scrub the inside on full lock, even though the rolling diameter is fine. And the eyebrow height of the car, as in centre of the wheel to the guard (the car clears the 100mm off the ground no issues). This is a pain cos the suspension is totally new pedders sports suspension, which barely lowers the car at all, and when the first check was done, we took out the stupidly low superlow king springs and had stock ones in, so she could save to get the new ones which are now installed. And they actually said the back was right on the limit with the stock ones though. *There are a few other things that they knocked, but they were easy fixes that i've done, these are the problem ones that are f*n expensive to sort, esp that we just bought the NEW suspension!!* Just curious how likely she is to get stung again if some of the changes are changed back afterwards? But also if there is a way to get the different eye brow height complied? Cos the wheels are inside the guards and dont scrub (except the fronts on full lock). We may need to look for new rims, and they also need new tires cos are 86 not 84 for the load baring capacity for some unknown reason!

I was worried they would knock us for having it out thinking we'd just put it back in or that there was a hole in the dash, but they told me the same, that can do that. the mrs is getting a new better deck any hoo, but will take a couple of weeks from the US.

I got mine off ebay. It may be not the best... but it was not loud when i tested it... The longer bolts seem it may be what i need, but i thing it extension cylinder needs to be shorter. SargeRX8 would be awesome if you could do some pix, and if could measure the height of the extension cylinder for me that would be sick too.

No, I dont want to watch tv when driving, we need it to not play when driving cos rego are being tools about the fact that it still plays. It is only a cheap chinese unit, and we are gonna replace it, but the replacement wont arrive before the rego check is due to be completed. The previous owner installed it and it can play dvds at any time, not that we even tested that ourselves... But for rego it needs to not play dvds when driving.... which i dunno how that works if she is using the dvd player to play an dvd full of mp3s not watching movies... but rego blah blah blah.. ideas please?

The head deck in my partners new car plays dvds, but doesnt disable when the hand break is on. How do i remedy this? Had no luck finding info anywhere...

Where i took mine, i left it, they didnt say anything, neither did I... but you can take the boost controller out if needed (right?)... But if can move it so it cant be seen at a glance, should be right. Just leave the pod and make sure it is attached properly and securely with metal brackets.

Dickson will pass you with a pod if affixed properly. I've put 3 cars through with pods... If i still had my stock rims, would loan them, but they are gone.
