Yeh it's this. There's stupid loopholes that allow them to get away with it. If the car is registered they can defect if, even if its on a driveway. If they have the believe that it'll be driven on public roads( which they do due to registration) then they can defect it. Technically shopping centre car parks are private property, they'd still defect you there.. What difference does your driveway make.. It's shit, but that's Vic

^ yep. We can repo a car but only if its not behind a locked gate, even if we can see it, but if its unlocked, or even in an opened garage we can take it. I guess the same principle to a cop
