Thanks for the suggestion Basti: jonboy did that for me on the 22nd of October and it is a GTR: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=5510286 So is it safe to assume that before the R33 GTR was shipped out of Japan, someone swapped out the Brembos? Since everyone is of the opinion that even early BCNR33s, were never equipped with Sumitomo calipers?

Thanks for the quick response guys. I'm not miffed that the car doesn't come with brembos as I got it cheap and it can be rectified, I'd just like to know for sure as to why. Take for example this thread where someone mentioned V-Specs being equipped with brembos while standard R33 GTRs did not come with brembos.

Could anyone shed light on this as I've used the search option and there isn't a specific thread that addresses my question. Thanks all. Regards, J

Double checked the car. Its not a V-Spec but just a normal GTR. Thanks again for checking the vin.

Doh k. Thanks for checking for me, mate. The odd thing is: 1. I looked underneath and the rear diff had fins on the cover. 2. Not to mention the original speedometer on the car has the A-LSD sign. WEIRD! I was hoping it would be a V-Spec but I guess its just a normal GTR. Will miss out on these goodies - "The V-spec model weighed in 10 kg (22 lb) heavier, and had sportier suspension resulting in lower ground clearance. The V-spec also featured the newer ATTESA E-TS Pro all wheel drive system, which included an Active Limited Slip differential. The V-spec model also included a four wheel independent channel anti-lock braking system".

Lovely ride and very nice night shot! The rear of the R33 is what really sets the car apart from the other Skylines. Far more 'muscular' than the R34, I reckon (not bagging R34 owners - just expressing a personal opinion). Looking forward to read future updates, so I hope you keep this thread updated.
