  1. Photo's will help. Look for any markings on them.
  2. Tight boost ? Fuel cut yes, Why would changing to another stock ecu benefit your cars ? I'm not to sure if it would work properly as series 2 engine's coil packs work differently to series 1. Also if you have ABS the series 1 ecu wouldn't be able to run it i would think ? If you want more power do other upgrades that haven't already been done. Or buy a fuel cut defender - Around about $250 But in that case you will have more boost still running stock ecu, so it would be more convenient to run aftermarket computer rather than stock. As you won't get too far over 200rwkw's with standard ecu. - and run into other problems. - maxed voltage on your afm. The fuel cut is at around 14psi ? so why would you want to run more than 14psi through stock turbo or has this been upgraded ? Is this just for R33's or other model skyline's ? Jun
  3. Haha thats a funny thread They sound alright but by the sounds of it they were running stock'o skylines. R32 gtst with exhaust and 9psi aint that quick.
  4. Maby the wastegate spring is stuffed ? Is it external or internal gate ?
  5. Yes, Sounds like the line's are hooked up back to front.
  6. Bleed valve is a manual boost controller, eg: Turbosmart bleed valve. Turn the silver dial on top to increase boost or decrease boost. How it works is, once air builds up inside the valve (10psi) it goes to the actuator on the turbo and opens the wastegate, and once its reached it's desiered boost pressure it bleed's out of the valve to stop boost increasing. 7. Problem Solved, From the battery to the fues box in the engine bay had 12v but from their to FC had 7v meaning it would'nt start & fuel pump wouldnt prime. We had to re-run a power cable back to the ecu and now it works fine. The weird thing was that it had 12v with the stock ecu and ran fine, but with the FC the same cable when down to 7v with the FC plug into the loom The voltage sits on 14.5v when driving is this fine or too much ? Will things go:Bang: ? Jun
  8. Just the RB26 into the GTS4 will cost you sh!t loads. Here's whats involved: RB26 around 8k with harness ecu etc. maby more ? The wiring harness is completely different, the ECU is completely different, the ATTESA system (inc ECU) is very different, the diff ratios are different, the gearbox ratios are different, the radiator is different, the power steering is different, the fuelpump and pipework is different, the HICAS is different, the intercooler/pipework is different, the brakes are completely different etc. You can add up the cost of thoes and realise that it would be cheaper to buy a GTR. And then you want to buy a R33 ? and swap engines around are you crazy ? Instead of buying all these cars and swaping engines, just keep saving for an R33 GTR. or a decent GTST. You can buy a silvia their cheaper. Jun
  9. Hi guys, After installing a powr fc into a R33 tonight, the car won't start. Turn the ignition on and the fuses in the boot start clicking fast and the engine check light & warning lamp flash very fast. The dislplay screen on the H/C come's up with RB25DET and nothing else but then you turn the IGN off and back on and it will come up normal and go to the menu's but when you go into a menu eg: SETTINGS > ING - it comes up blank screen as if it hasn't loaded. What could be the problem ? Its deffiently not the PFC as we have tryed it on another car and it works perfectly fine. - Its a brand new FC btw. The fuel pumps making funny sounds as if its half priming but its not got the voltage to keep it priming. - more like a fuel pump miss fire :uhh: Thanks, Cam
  10. It'll work fine, no retuning needed - maby setting up the boost but thats it. Jun
  11. Well, What most people would do is replace it I've seen on ocasions when the seal expanded and would't fit. so it was leaking out everywere. Replaced it and havnt had a problem since. Jun
  12. Death rattles are cool :uhh: ???
  13. Car will run smoother (I'n your own mind of running smoother ) because it will be able to breath easier. Rather than running 1 bar through a pissie little cooler that doesnt do sh!t. If you get what i mean ? Yes but running 1 bar of boost pressure through a stock turbo, it will be running out of efficency range wouldn't you think ? To try and keep the pressure up constant at 1 bar it will strugle. Jun
  14. I wouldn't be running to high of a boost level as your turbo will strugle as it has to provide more air to fill the new intercooler. Your car should run alot smother as it is breathing properly and with cooler intake temps should have a noticable horsepower increase. I'd run around 12psi. Other wise you'll be overboosting and end up with exhaust wheel in the cat. Jun
  15. I've herd that the internal wasgated version of the GT30 is a dodgy version ??? :uhh: not sure if thats true or not. Will laggy for RB20. I'd personaly go smaller turbo. Depends on what you want to use the car for as Nismo_boy said. Jun
  16. As Amaru said, Keep same revlimiter and they will be fine & They should have no problems running at 1.5bar. But if you go the aftermarket cams you can run lower boost at the same power level. Jun
  17. Nex, What's wrong with it ?
  18. xr8eater, Theirs been a couple like that, a Black R34 GTR - same story as your's wanted 5k deposite etc etc. 2 words "f#%king... dodgy"
  19. I'm pretty sure its for a desiel engine so it will be a lag monster on a skyline. And yes it is a detroit turbo, Not sure if its rated at 850hp though. Have you got any pictures ?
  20. Turbosmart Bleed valve $90 easy to install. Just dont be flogging your car for long periods of time on hot day's with the stock intercooler.
  21. If thats aimed at me, No.
  22. If thats aimed at me. No, I posted it in the other QLD thread (who is who or are you here) - thinking it was this thread. Just for thoes who are interested in what we get upto in cairns. - import scene wise. Jun
  23. SK, Would setting up your afm this way have any affect on: Drivability of the car ? Performance wise ?
  24. This might be the right section to post it in:) For anyone interested, http://www.cairnsimports.d2g.com.au
  25. Nissan Pintara Cable from the wrecker's. You'll have to make up you'r own bracket because we couldn't get the one with the kit to fit on 2 occasion's. Jun
