"Craved" The Rb26 has poped up and it seemed like a good deal with low genine klm's "usuckpoo" well we had the option of putting bigger turbo, injectors, fuel pump, ecu etc but the rb26 has a lot more potential and in a lighter shell (gtst) it will be a lot quicker then a standard gtr. "sock" although the R32 is a cheaper option, the life span on the engine wouldn't be as good as an R33 with low klm's. i disagree with the valve if you look and you will see that the valve has droped a fair bit. its going to be a unique car so it should have a lot of intrest if it decides to be sold, which i doubt as its going to be used for a drag car. Also we thought that it would be a great project to do and to get to know a little bit more about the RB engines. "Trust33" I have searched and havent found anything so far. but im intrested to see what other guys thoughts are. were using the rb25 gear box to make the conversion cheaper and yes it will bolt straight up. any more thoughts ?
  2. decision has been made and were going with the RB26 conversion ! is their any little details that we should know ? it should be in and running hopfuly before july - august were using the rb25 gear box, clutch, fly wheel.

  9. Hey Adrian did you get any more film fottage ? would be good if you got a in the car run.

Could this be part of power problem ? and that T-piece boost controller, they can only handle a certin amount of boost before they do what they want. eg: it can only hold upto 14psi intill it canrt hold it any more and the boost will go all over the place ? that why i said turn the boost right down and see if it works any differnt.
  11. You should be able to tell by the different sound of the motor. if the engine sounds the same as the original motor then its a rb25 not rb26.
  12. also the oil lines were you plum the oil catch can into are at the back of the motor on the rb26. and i think the rb26 is a bit wider than the rb25 so i dont think you can swap the cam covers ?

  17. what type of T piece boost controller is it ? a red turbosmart one ? try turning boost down to 12psi and take it for a strap.
  18. have the same problem and found that their was oil in the actuator !
  19. yer we went... no one was their really... we got 25 runs in ! and they closed early aswell ! but it was pretty sh!Ty cause the best we could get was a 14 flat at 106mph with i think 2.5 60fters... just couldnt get traction it was just wheel spin in 1st, 2nd and 3rd all the way ! we tried easing the throttle on and still too much wheel spin ! where using 255 Sumitomo's what tires do you recomend for that track ?

  23. sorry if you got confused but we have 2 gtst's and the one we are upgrading is not broken. so if you seen my post with the dyno graph thats the car we are upgrading. sorry to confuse you.
  24. Hi everyone, its time to upgrade ! we got around 10k too spend on my brothers R33 gtst 95' and im just wondering what do you guys recomend we should do. the usual turbo,injectors,fuel pump, ecu ? or somthing different !
