  1. Ok thanks guys.
  2. No hoses should have a restrictor in it, One from manifold or were ever you choose to get the pressure from and one to the actuator.
  3. Their has been many arguements about this and the standard Plenum. Basically you don't need an aftermarket Greddy intake plenum inless you are going to be running huge amounts of boost which the standard one will suffer. Flow rate test's have been done and they are the same until higher boost level's, eg: inless your going to be running 25psi + of boost then its not really needed. Spend you'r money on other things that will actually be worth while eg: A set of Cam's or injectors or a PFC ? The good things about this Plenum are, As you mentioned the room factor and less cooler piping, it looks heaps neater and you can access the injector's very easily with having to pull apart everything. Another thing most people would think that the throttle response would be better becuase of shorter piping etc. You won't get anything noticable, If you do test and so on you may find a couple of ms difference. At the end of the day as most ppl will tell you, dont waste you'r money as the standard plenum is fine just look at INASNT's car as an eg. Inless you'r going for massive power.
  4. Hi Guys, Just wondering what throttle body's are used as an upgrade for SR20, Is the RB25, 26 or 30 able to be used or will these not fit ? Can anyone point me in the right direction of were i can get a bigger TB at a reasonable price. Cam
  5. RB25 = Side Feed High Impedance RB26 = Top Feed Low Impedance So basically you got this RB25 fuel rail and it appears to be one for RB25 Greddy Plenum but top feed ? You can run top feed injectors in you'r RB25. What injectors to use for RB26 ? Basically anything you can afford, they don't have to be Japanese brand's you can get denso, jecs etc... size of the injectors depends on what horsepower you are after. Jun
  6. 1) My Bad I didn't think to ask what engine it is! 5)
  7. Was the porslin craked & yellowish, also what colour were they - oily ? They recommend not to gap the irridums because you take off the coating on the plug which stuff's them up. We use NGK coppers BCPR6ES
  8. You have to have the RPM singal connect for it to self learn otherwise it takes donky's years! If its spiking in a certain gear pull the start duty down a bit. You have to turn self-lean mode on aswel. X = Off O = On Jun
  9. Looks good, Thats about right for 12psi.
  10. Especially if you run forged piston's, these are ment to be warmed up properly as they expand and contract in the cylinder, You can hear it when the car is cold if you try and rev over 3k it doesnt sound all their. This is the same when you are running in you'r new forged piston engine, too much RPM = boost = air blowing past rings cause not run in properly. As other's have said you'r just asking for trouble.
  11. 1) Their is not really a specific controller for you ecu but you can get one, or one that does all PFC's. You will need this to use datalogit. H/C = $350 2) Datalogit is a program that enables you to tune the car more extensivly, you can access features that you cannot alter on the H/C, it also has Dataloging hence the name datalogit ! 3) This depends on what you buy, if you want a direct bolt in or if you want everything to look fancy and go top feed with custom rail etc. The cheapest option is to go sidefeed high impedance which is what standard injectors are. You can pick a set-up for around $900 - $1200 These are direct replamcements and because you have the FC they are easy to set the injector correction value's & ms. Eg. 550cc injectors - the correction valve for these that have to be loaded into the FC will be. 370cc / 550cc = 0.67% as for the ms you will have to find the best spot it idle's on but around 0.8ms. The only thing you will have to buy is injector O-rings as you can't really use the standard one's or you will get leaking problem's - not good. For time to do this job will take a fair while. - 6hr's i would guess with the standard intake plenum. With a Greddy plenum it takes around 2 - 3hr's The AFM is easy to install aswel only 30min job if you know what you'r doing. You will have to wire in the new plug, Their is a wiring diagram on here under the tutorial section. eg: Z32 AFM you will have to select the VG30 setting on the FC command in the SETTINGS menu. 4) Yes their is a Manual for the power FC in english but its for a RX7. - Try seaching on the forums its been posted many times 5) To use a wideband sensor it will be best to by datalogit as it has all the logging/monitoring system's etc... Datalogit cost around $600 from memory. Jun
  12. Picture's will help, Have you got a boost guage this might help, seeing what it hits when you said "skyrockets"... Sounds like its hitting fuel cut - 14psi around abouts. Or its have a miss-fire becuase you are running more boost the spark on the spark plugs can't jump the gap and its arking out to other places and not giving a strong enough spark Re-gap the plugs to 0.7 if this already has not been done. Jun
  13. Yes the 910 is smaller than the 040 but it will be fine aswel. Theirs all different model pumps in the bosch series that you can buy its just finding one a the right price Jun
  14. Try the plugs, maby one has died & its not firing. Sounds more like an afm problem, - comes and goes when it wants, maby it has died altogether, if you want to test one i got 2 spare you can borrow.
  15. at SK, you typed out enough about the seach button to tell him whats, what... Anyway, The walbro pumps are good but you pay for what you get, they are only able to get around 265rwkw's on a R33 so i'd use one of this for a serge tank set-up. The 044 as ben said is rated at around 700hp, I wouldn't recomend inless you are after around 500hp at the wheels. Depends on what horsepower you'r after, 250rwkw's = walbro anthing over that go the 040. Jun P.S did i mention to use the seach funtion he he :flame:
  16. For forged internal's We use: Piston's - Arias & Venoli Con-rods - Crower & eagle
  17. Not having a HC doesn't help much ! What fuel are you running, If you'r running down the strip i'd use BP ultimate + Nulon Octane booster, this stop detination - Could be a bad batch of fuel. Other wise its down to the tune, you said 2nd gear... get you tuner to do the map tracer for second gear, find the detination points and pull 1º - 2º of timing & add more fuel in thoes load points. Jun
  18. Muz, You can set 4 different boost level's eg: 1. 7psi 2. 10psi 3. 12psi 4 14psi The ignition & fuel map will have to be tuned for setting 4, as its the highest boost setting so you don't get leaning out problem's etc. You can still run the other settings just it will feel sluggish because their will be the right amount of fuel for 14psi not 7psi etc... Jun
  19. proberly just you'r through-out bearing or one of the bearings making noise, its all normal. Inless its making a serious grinding noise!
  20. Does it sound like its dropped a cylinder ? Could be fouled plug's or dirty afm even check coilpack's. Sounds more like the afm has got dirt on the sensor, you can clean this with brake cleaner as it leave's no residue. Jun
  21. Yeh They are JEC Injector's, Its hard to tell from thoes pics you have but do they look anything like these 2 ? http://www.witchhunter.com/FlowDataPix/jA4...-000001dual.jpg or http://www.witchhunter.com/FlowDataPix/jA4...000001beige.jpg Jun
  22. If is missing, try adding fuel through the inj/ign menu to see if thats the problem and if it is make this correction onto the map. Jun
  23. You don't even know what boost he was running and how can you call, Frontmount, full exhaust, pod all the usual stuff... STOCK ? GunmetalR33, I'd personally go bigger injector's for reliability, although you can push them to 250rwkw's as SK mentioned you have to change fuel lines and fittings etc to run that sort of pressure. You don't want a fire to break out in you'r engine bay! I know what i'd do but its you'r decision , all i can say is you will notice the car will run, rev smoother with bigger injectors, same with bigger fuel pump. Jun
  24. What ben said, dumpipe will help with turbo spool up and will give you a power increase that is noticable. You will have to re-set the boost again as it will be different when the exhaust is flowing properly with out back pressure. Have you got any picture's of the turbo ? Don't worrie about the car's in perth they seem to have different results to comapred to the results over the east side. Jun
  25. Turbosmart Pro-Gate is good, the new version is 48mm now from 45mm. Other wise Trial & HKS are good wastegates aswel. Jun
