Hey everyone, Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this industry etc? Im thinking that i might like to try it out and get into it. Does anyone know what is involved in this career? anyone actually doing it ? and does anyone know what the going rate is for an apprentice ? I think id love to have hot cars with crap or good paint jobs come in, and u strip em down etc, then respray them and they drive out... without a single scratch on them and they just glimmer in the sunlight. can anyone help by offering advice, or knowledge? thanks guys!

oo FARK big lose dude!!! I completely forgot about this... i didnt think i was actually able to take part, hence why i ceased paying such close attention to it. I hadnt actually been told that i was or wasnt allowed to enter... DAMNIT! i wanna go... SHITE! I will see what i can do... my missus wants me to goto perth with her on sunday... will see if i can change it or not.... Will definately try get in there but... we need more N/A's !!!

we have 2 good car detailers in RICE. both of which do a bang up job and have done show cars etc. They even did the hopman cup cars earlier this year....

Just car is very expensive though.... i got a quote for a pretty modified Gts turbo and and they didnt want much... i think it was 1600... and im 19 .. just off my P's 30 % ncb. no previous driving infrigements etc and yeah for excess it was like 300 bucks or something. then on TOP of that... if i had mags... another 400.... and if i had bodykit.. another 300 ... so on and so fourth... all up... if i had a prang... i would have to pay out roughly 2200 BEFORE they would pay anything... thats what i worked it out to be anyways.

i have ecsta supras on my NA theyre good, done about 15 thousand km's on them since january when i got them... and the rear ones got worn a bit, front are fine so ive rotated them... but yeah... so far so good they seem to be a very grippy tyre. oh and yeah, my driving has been a little... harsh.. which is bad for tyres. i am learning a very expensive lesson.... i have to start driving like a granny... well ... most of the time

i have Kumho Supra's, theyre not bad but in the dry, they grip fairly well. But in the wet, they dont seem too good.

ahah nope buddy, im in the same boat i guess thats half the reason i think i couldnt handle doing a mechanic apprenticeship after doing the pre-app course at tafe, i bust screws an all sorts too easy... LOL

thats so bad hey, i mean... its not SO bad when its jus a small nudge or something like slowly hit, but when they just keep goin n it scraped etc, its bloody shocking.

okay, well... i pulled it apart like i did yesterday... but also pulled that center panel off... that came off nice an easy (YAY!) ... the tail light configuration itself was alot of effort, had to lever it from the inside with a screw driver because there was so much silicone on it!!! anyways, came off in the end... couldnt actually get the clear plastic bit off away from the rest of it (i attempted it for ages and ended up breaking a clip in the process... GODDAMNIT!) still all good but... slapped even MORE silicone on certain areas that were dry and had none on there... so hopefully given some time to dry it will be fine! I also managed to bust one of the screws coming from the back of the taillight configuration... and it HAD to be the one that had the mounting bracket for the carpet lining to clip into... DIDNT IT! i hate screws... drive me crazy!!! im always busting the bloody things.... im viscious! (or however u spell it) anyways... BIG THANKYOU! to everyone who shared their advice with me... i really appreciate it!.. hopefully now... crisis is over!

nar... mine filled up with water today, its had condensation for a while, which i didnt mind, but it filled with water when i washed her today,..... NOT COOL! i think mine might be the silicone holding it in... but i will pull off that centre bar too.. see if that helps.. thanks for ya help! will let u know how i go..

i just recently got a dynamco alarm system installed. its bomb... im loving it. well worth it i rekon. but yeh if u want autowatch then go for it, they decent aswell.

Hey all.. just wondering, how the hell do u get the right tail lights and indicator setup on an R33 off ? my right indicator cover (clear plasitc bit) is getting water in it and it gets condensation in it also... and i wanna fix it... i attempted it today, but with no avail... i pulled off all the nuts etc on the back (found inside the boot)... but the bitch didnt seem to wanna do anything ... have i missed something ? I also managed to chip the cover trying to get it out (thought maybe it just popped off or something)... which has annoyed me.. its not THAT noticeable... but i know its there... and would like to get a replacement cover.... anyone know where i can get one from and how much it would cost please? thanks for your help!

there is also alot of us still waiting to hear back from zanda etc regarding membership, and payment of it etc etc. but i think having a shoot with ALL members should be allowed... not just random skyline owners who ARENT part of the club. and not necessarily those who have paid. Like even the long time forum users etc such as strich9 who have been a part of the community for a while, but jus havent gotten around to signing up for membership. (there are also those who ahve, but yeah... u get my drift).
