  1. Or you could just press the little bitton near your knees to stop it. So much easier..... just sayin
  2. Wait until you remove those roof rails
  3. Ok i hope this makes sence for your future installs. This was installed onto a sony xav65. 1. Remove the lower steering column to access the lower clock spring plugs. Make sure that the wires are there as per photo 2. Remove all interior panels to access the rear of the stereo wiring. Locate the main harness and you will find the plug that contains the steering wheel harness as shown in the photo below 3. Cut the yellow (earth) , red (input 1) & green (input 2). Connect the sony plug as per the following Black to yellow (earth) White to red (input 1) Red to Green (input 2) 4. Go into the stereos settings and press the associated buttons to what your device is asking for to set the steering controls. 5. Wire up everything properly (i soldered and heat shrinked all wiring). Put the car back to gether once complete. note. If you are installing a new unit onto your car i can post a how to if required. If you have a LED unit you can gollow the link in the last post that Commsman wrote up of how to wire up the power and earth. Hope this makes it easier to understand.

  5. Ill do a proper write up on the laptop. So much easier than from phone.
  6. Steering wheel sold. Unit is on its own and is a non LED unit. For installation please see my other thread.
  7. The plug is there. Mine was taped to the main harness out of the way. The yellow wire is the earth as per previous posts. Turns out my 2 units are not LED but as i have it working im not too fussed.
  8. Ok. I have found my error. I cut one of the unit control sensors (white) instead of a led earth (pink) as per commsman's write up as my unit did not have this wire. I have recently added in a wire to earth it out. I have tested once i discoverd and corrected the issue and it works with my sony double din without the control box as per last post. So here are some pictures for reference. (No i will not be leaving the wiring like that.... it was to test.
  9. I found the wiring harness behind the stereo. When hooked up it does not read all the switches do i suspect i will need a awsc universal box as mentioned earlier.
  10. There were a few who developed the required software a few years back and were selling the translation installation for about 250 if i remember correctly.
  11. Cheers mate. I saw that the other day but with mine being a double din i may not need that control box. Once i get a break from the long work hours/daddy duties ill know a little more. Ill take alot of photos throughout the process for a quick writeup with double din (sony) for future installs.
  12. Racecars have no time for sunroofs
  13. Ill test it out over the coming days and will know more than.
  14. Ok so think i have worked it all out Black - Yellow (earth) Red - Green (imput 2) White - Red (input 1) green in picture
  15. Not keen to over pay. He may know alot but to pricey for me.
  16. So ive done some research and apparently the plug is there where i need it to be. So looking at this ill be looking at Black - yellow Red - red White - green.
  17. Hey all, Im trying to install the steering wheel controls and ive connected the 12v wire for the LEDs. The 3 wires that come out the back of the clock spring i have the following questions. 1. To these wires come out behind the stereo to connect to or should i cut them at the clock spring. 2. The sony control plug has red, white& black wires but the clock spring has red, yellow & green. Does it matter what colours i attach to to allow the steering wheels to fuction properly and does anyone have a match up guide for this.
  18. There is one avaliable in brisbane. The nissan 350z is the same as ive recently had to change mine.
  19. Ill buy them from you if you do
  20. By the looks of the clip it does nothing but cover the holes in the silencer (with the SIS090) doesn't have. Seems like a waste of money (i have owned a Fuji before the kakimoto so i know the difference in volumes). The silencer makes the kakimoto as loud as the fuji at startup (as the Fuji quiets down once warm).
